This cozy tiny home is located a little over one mile off of Interstate 57 and within two miles of Rend Lake. Whether traveling through and needing an easy one night stay or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Whittington, the property has great access to the area while providing a peaceful stay on the edge of the country. Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

Spurlock Place- Shawnee National Forest (HOT TUB)

Hike, explore, work, or relax on our 2 country acres. Just 15 minutes from the Garden of the Gods, our home features a game room, high speed Internet, and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy nature. There’s a large gas station and DG store 1/2 mile away for anything you need, and Harrisburg is just a short drive further. If you’re looking to explore or hunt in the Shawnee National Forest, this is the perfect place to be! Guests have full access to the home, hot tub and all amenities.

Choisser Burnett House - Vintage Charm & Comfort

The historic Choisser Burnett House is located at 1201 Organ Street in Eldorado, Illinois.  A revival style home built in the 1880's, it was home to several prominent families who were responsible for business development in the area. Twenty minutes minutes south is the  Shawnee National Forest whose terrain spans woodlands, hills and lakes and it's wildlife includes bald eagles. There is a sister house across the street, The Paddock at 1208 which sleeps 6 and is also on Airbnb.com.

The Potel Tiny Home 14x40

Tiny home nestled on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest. A cozy one bedroom with full closet and stacked washer and dryer the bed is a full size. Kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave. It does not have a dishwasher. Living room has a smart TV sign in to your Netflix, Sling, YouTube TV etc. Wi-fi provided. No cable. Full bathroom with shower unit. Some of our guest has said sitting on the porch watching the beautiful sunsets each night was an added bonus for staying with us.

Old Colorado Glamping Dome is nestled deep into the woods surrounded by beautiful tall pines. It is heated and cooled and has all the necessities as a typical house. We also packed as many amenities as we could into this property including an oversized 6-Person hot tub, 500 MBPS fiber internet, outdoor tv, fire pit table, Weber grill, hammock swings, custom bathroom with rainfall shower, full kitchen, coffee bar, king & queen sized beds, bean bag toss, board games and much more!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. You are surrounded by 40 acres of peaceful woods with a 2 acre pond right outside your door step. This space is great for a couple getaway or a girls retreat. Soak your cares away in the 100 year old vintage tub or enjoy the spacious outdoor shower( seasonal). We are about 30 -40 minutes away from the Shawnee National Forest. You can go explore Garden of the God's or go toward Marion where you can enjoy shopping and dinner.

The Red Barn Cottage

Truly a unique cottage, in a beautiful setting. Go back in time on this 6-acre hideaway. It was a previously working farm. Explore the old red barn, walk the wooded trails, or fish in the pond. Spend the day sightseeing at all the Shawnee National Park attractions nearby, such as Garden of the Gods, Fern Clyffe State Park, and many others. The property is just 5 to 7 minutes away from the Sahara Woods Fishing and Hunting area and a brand new ATV park.

Country Barn Studio

Experience a relaxing getaway in this unique studio. Enjoy swinging on the porch while sipping coffee and watching the sunrise. Listen to the birds and watch the horses, sheep and donkey grazing in the field. You are welcome to take walks around the property and fish in the pond. We are in an Amish community with horse and buggy’s traveling up and down the road. This is the perfect place to escape from city or just a getaway to relax and unwind.
