bâan Tokyo is a guest house located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Sakurashinmachi, Setagaya Ward. bâan means "home" in Thai, and we welcome you to your "home in Tokyo". There are two bedrooms with twin beds and a tatami space with two sets of futons, and up to 6 people can use the whole house with family or friends. Each room is fully air-conditioned and has a bathroom with a bathtub, a washer and dryer, a barrier-free toilet, and a wooden deck. The small tatami mat in the living room is sunny, and you can enjoy the unique pleasures of a Japanese house, such as warming up with a kotatsu in winter and taking a nap on the tatami mat in summer. The host lives on the second floor, but the entrance is separate, so guests' privacy is protected. Rest assured, we will respond immediately if you have any sightseeing advice or problems. Sakura Shinmachi, a 10-minute train ride from Shibuya, is famous as the town of the anime "Sazae-san", which has been popular in Japan since ancient times. As the town name suggests, you can enjoy cherry blossoms in full bloom in spring. There are shopping areas, supermarkets, convenience stores, and many restaurants within walking distance. Access to the city center is also good, making it easy to reach tourist destinations in the city as well as nearby. It is a 3-minute walk to Uenoge Station.It's a 3-minute bus ride or a 15-minute walk to Futakotamagawa.Shibuya and Jiyugaoka are also less than 30 minutes away.It's a quiet residential area, but the street is a shopping district.There is a coffee shop across the road, and a tonkatsu restaurant a 2-minute walk away.In the evening, I go to a local izakaya. We decorated the whole house with art.The work of American textile artist Andrea Meyers depicting Japanese animals is a must-see.Tiger-themed items that bring good fortune are also placed all over the place.
