The "Hühnerhaus"

The hen house is located in the middle of the beautiful Permagarten, below a former monastery, on the Katzenhof in Bachhaupten. Gabi and Guido live their dream of independence here and want to expand the farm sustainably and suitable for grandchildren. For example, the walls and ceiling of the hen house were made from the over 200-year-old plank boards of the main house. The "gray water" is used in the garden and the "separating toilet" works without drinking water flushing. Enjoy the tranquility on the outskirts of Fronhofen with views of the countryside. Fronhofen is 15 minutes from Ravensburg and a very good starting point for numerous leisure activities. Lake Constance can be reached in just 25 minutes. The Allgäu with its hiking opportunities can be reached in about 35 minutes. In winter, numerous ski resorts can be reached in less than two hours. There are numerous swimming lakes & hiking opportunities in the immediate vicinity (Pfrungener Ried/Blitzenreuter lake district).

In addition to a cozy bedroom, there is a living and dining room with a sofa bed for 2 people, a reading corner, a modern bathroom and a kitchen. From the bedroom you have a great view of Altshausen Castle. The location is central (various shops, bakeries and restaurants within a 5-minute walk) yet quiet area. The garden can also be used. A beautiful swimming lake is within 10 minutes' walking distance.

In Bad Saulgau (7 km) and Bad Buchau (9 km) there are excellent thermal baths with the best wellness offer. There is gastronomy here on site or various possibilities in the surrounding cities (Bad Saulgau, Bad Schussenried, Aulendorf).

You will stay cozily and authentically on 24 square meters in our "Bauernstüble." In the living room, there is a dining area, a wardrobe, sofa and satellite TV. A staircase leads to the sleeping area with a 140 × 200 cm mattress. Adjacent to the entrance area is a small but fully equipped kitchen. A modern bathroom with underfloor heating and daylight completes the apartment. A washing machine + dryer can be used for €4 per load.
