You can enjoy the fire pit while watching the stars, with no distractions from neighbors, traffic, or lights. You can enjoy catch & release fishing from the bank

The tranquil sound of the water fountain sets the mood for Shady Rest. (removed during winter) Unwind in the therapeutic hot tub. (open all year long) Watch the 12 ft. windmill twirl as it catches the wind. Resident ducks will provide fun entertainment. End the day with a night fire around the fire pit. No matter what the season, Shady Rest “on blue pond” is sure to create an unforgettable experience. Property not suited for small children due to deep pond next to the Airbnb. No pets allowed

Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

This spacious cabin features a comfortable King bed, 55” TV above a gas fireplace, and recently had a top to bottom renovation! The spacious back deck features a large hot tub just steps from the back door, hooks for the provided terry cloth robes, and a Weber grill.

We also packed as many amenities as we could into this property including an oversized 6-Person hot tub, 500 MBPS fiber internet, outdoor tv, fire pit table, Weber grill, hammock swings, custom bathroom with rainfall shower, full kitchen, coffee bar, king & queen sized beds, bean bag toss, board games and much more!

We are only 31 minutes away from Garden of the Gods located in the Shawnee National Forrest as well as Giant City State Park. Also only 25 minutes away from beautiful Rend Lake -and we have space to park your boat! ...or you can just sit out in the back yard and relax.
