Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Fredericksburg

Less than .5 miles from sand . The kids loved staying at the house versus a hotel ! Was the perfect spot to relax and go on the deck to hear the water . Would definitely go back for another vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Old Blue. Beautiful country getaway not far from the heart of downtown Culpeper. Debbie was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back when we visit again!

This property was very well listed, it was very clean and exceeded expectations. Easy parking and the place feels safe and clean. The hosts are amazing and we are very thankful for their hospitality. 15/10 recommend.

The place was really well set up. the drive up is a bit confusing the first time for sure. The house has everything a couple could need. Little bit of privacy, a nice space and a close proximity to a couple of small towns. The house was clean and had plenty of blankets, towels etc. Only negative (and it's a nitpick cause there was a lot of rain the weeks leading up to our stay) but the back deck furniture was covered in mildew and dead leaves. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Chose this spot for our honeymoon and it was fantastic. You’ll love the views and infinite amenities but most of all, Evan is an incomparable host. I’d book with him again, no doubt. He’s clearly gone above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home (if your home is impeccably decorated and designed for ultimate comfort). He’s gone to great lengths to make sure his guests have a memorable experience and it’s appreciated!

Would definitely stay here again! We came as a larger group of 9- there was plenty of room for all! My son and nephew spent the entire weekend fishing off the dock while others played yard games (included in rental). Beds were comfy, kitchen fully stocked! Location was perfect - not too far from "civilization" yet surrounded by woods and felt very private. Communication with owner was always easy and responses were fast. Do not hesitate to rent here!

Matt and Tina’s home surpassed expectations on all fronts. This is an absolutely beautiful home on a quiet, and peaceful property. The entire property is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and is chocked full of amenities and led to an unbelievable weekend. The stand-out for me was the two-tier dock, it is very well done. Matt and Tina were incredibly responsive and generous with check-in times and catered to our large group well. Excellent hosts! Such a great space with everything you need. You’ll enjoy your view in the comfort of the space. The view and the environment were great but having a place to be comfortable in was even better.

We primarily chose this for easy access to the town. Numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops are just a few minutes walk. A nice view of the river and backed up to a wooded hill made this both private and easily accessible. Friendly hosts and very responsive to questions we had. Would stay again!

What a calm and peaceful private retreat! My fiancée and I spent a couple of days enjoying the brisk bay breezes and beautiful sunsets at Vickie’s. Everything was exactly as advertised and Vickie (and Scott) are true treasures—extremely responsive and thoughtful hosts who want you to have everything you need. Plus, their knowledge of the area gave us a great introduction to Leonardtown. So much more to the area than we thought! Whether birdwatching from “the best view on the block” or reflecting on the glider by the bay, we loved every moment of quiet and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

They were beyond amazing—thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely committed to making sure we had everything we needed. When we had an issue with the refrigerator, they didn’t just fix it; they replaced it with a brand-new one within two days! Their kindness and efficiency made us feel incredibly valued as guests. Spending a full month here, we truly got to appreciate how well-maintained and well-equipped the apartment was. It was a perfect home away from home, and we are so grateful for the hospitality we received. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic stay!

My family and I spent the weekend in Washington, D.C., and we were fortunate to find Emily's place at the last minute after our previous arrangements fell through. It was a wonderful experience, and the hosts were lovely people! The only challenge we encountered was the noise in the early hours of the day. However, I don't consider this a complaint; it's just something to keep in mind when booking a co-living space. We discussed the possibility of noise with Emily beforehand, so again, it's something to be mindful of. Overall, meeting this interesting and cool family and their dog Charlie was a good experience and an absolute pleasure!

The house was clean and offered beautiful scenery. The grill was located near the river, allowing you to enjoy cooking, dining, and taking in the view all at once. Due to the weather, the firewood was wet; it would be better if it were covered to ensure the fire pit remains usable after rain. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would definitely be happy to revisit.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was incredibly clean, cozy, quiet and peaceful. The cabin had everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the toddler gear, which saved us from packing extra items. We loved making s’mores by the firepit and curling up with books next to the gas fireplace on cool summer nights. The beds were super comfortable, and everything felt well cared for and inviting. As others have mentioned it’s quite the hike up the dirt road, but we had no problem in a small suv. It was a great retreat and would come back!

Timber Creek Lodge was a very comfortable setting for a romantic weekend getaway! Stocked with everything you'd need, and nestled in a private, wooded area.

My stay was exactly what i needed it to be. It was a quick 90 minute drive from the city, but once I got there I found exactly what I needed. 2 days of peace, quiet, and seclusion. I had to make a quick run, to the grocery store, but it was convenient and people were really nice. Next time I come, I’ll probably explore the Solomon Islands.

The cabin was amazing! Great location, clean, and very cozy. Perfect for a quick getaway, and Robert was very helpful with detailed instructions and directions!
