We had a wonderful stay - the cottage was unique, cosy, spacious and had spectacular views! It was a real treat to be able to warm up in front of the fire in stormy weather. Would highly recommend - a peaceful and beautiful place to stay!

The place was very well thought out, organised and presented. Located in a nice and quiet area, few minutes from the Franz Josef town. Modern facilities, good wifi, responsive water heating with very good water pressure. Phoebe is very responsive and provided clear fast communication. Highly recommended!!

I had a wonderful stay! The space was spotless and full of thoughtful details that made it feel extra welcoming. The design is unique and adds a lot of charm. I especially loved the outdoor bath—it was such a relaxing and luxurious touch. Richard and Edwina were warm and generous hosts. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

What a perfect place to stay. The place exceeded expectations and is even better than the photos and descriptions suggests. The fireplace worked flawlessly and was stocked with plenty of firewood and kindling to use. The beds had nice pillows and sheets that were warm and enveloping - and one bed had an electric blanket which was useful on a cold night. The outdoor bathtub was the highlight of the trip - the view of the Milky Way from a hot bath in a secluded area was something special - even saw a couple of shooting stars. The home is a quick 4 minute drive to Franz Josef town if you’re looking for restaurants or the grocery store. Can’t recommend this place more. What a special two nights we had there. Thank you Sarah and team.

A beautiful little house. High level toiletries, coffee, tea, crockery. The wine and chocolates were appreciated. The house is advertised as secluded but the other house is only meters away and easily seen from the deck. The lake is more a dam and as far as we could see only calf deep - not at all suitable for swimming. Nowhere to unpack or store clothes. A few kilometres from Franz Josef township.

Lovely stay in a secluded farm setting close to Franz Josef Glacier. The house had plenty of thoughtful personal touches and was surrounded by beautiful scenery — very peaceful and enjoyable. It did feel a bit isolated at times, and the power outage around 11pm for about an hour was a bit unsettling. But overall, it was a unique and memorable experience, and we really enjoyed our time there.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sarah’s place. From patting the ponies to lying in the hot tub whilst admiring Mt Cook, it was a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed exploring the river and cooking in the large, well-equipped kitchen. We also enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace. The stay was all we could have wished for. Just be careful - the sandflies will bite on sunset

Incredible bnb! Their home is a gem in such a tranquil setting. Glow worms right in their yard! Room and bath are squeaky clean, access to kitchen and the fridge is provided, and there was breakfast available! It’s close enough to walk to a restaurant, laundry, and the kiwi center. They are both wonderful people and Rocco is beautiful!

Ambica and Ellie’s home is older but it’s very clean, well maintained and well equipped. The beds are so comfortable and the bedding was good quality too. It’s very close to restaurants and cafes. We would absolutely stay again 😊
