Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Fort Cavazos

We could not be more pleased with our stay. Comfy beds, if back yard for our fur babies, and room for our boat.

This was by far the best, cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed at. Carol has put a lot of thought into what makes a home comfortable. Almost anything you could think of, she has. We appreciated the blackout curtains to keep bedrooms super dark, extra fans and air purifiers to create white noise and cool sleeping environments, and extra large & plush blankets to snuggle up under. She has the home well stocked with items you’ll need - including (nice) toilet paper, laundry detergent (free & clear!) and, and all sorts of spices and cooking essentials. The backyard is gorgeous and such a nice place to wind down after a long day. We ate many meals outside & enjoyed the birds and beautiful wildflowers. Our kids also had a great time exploring the creek. We stayed here for over a month during a PCS, and it made life so much easier having this home in between homes. I’ve already recommended the Retreat to several other military families I know.

Without a doubt a great place to stay! The host was fantastic! They went above and beyond to help us meet a special need. The whole place was so clean and every thoughtful detail was well appreciated. The location is a huge plus. We were just a couple of blocks away from UMHB which made it easy to attend events. Not only that, but the backyard was perfect for our pet. Completely fenced in, large concrete patio, and plenty of space to run and play. Bathroom spotless, beds super comfortable, kitchen spacious and easy to use. All and all, you won't find a better deal! This will be our spot to be as our student attends UMHB!

Perfect location for our weekend with family. We truly appreciated the exceptional cleanliness of the house. Older home was nicely updated and had all necessary amenities. Easy in and out! Jeff has a lovely home and is an outstanding host! We made a military move from Virginia to Texas, and he accommodated our family so well with early check-in. He also was so kind when we forgot a couple bottles and had to run back and grab them. We will be sending all of our family members who visit to stay here!

We had an emergency and were unable to stay at this AirBnB. James was very responsive and available through it all. The house was pristine and beautiful, just like the pictures portrayed. I would recommend this property to anyone!

This was a lovely home to stay in. The home was just as described. The rooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable. Communication was great! William and Tracy were very accommodating. As a family we made wonderful memories with our Waco family. We had a lovely time but it went by too fast.this is definitely a great home to stay in, very relaxing, and the pool was extra special.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was great! We loved everything about it! The photos perfectly represented the house. Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable and bathrooms were stocked with lots of plush towels. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware and serving pieces. We loved the Nespresso and ice machine. The view over the lake was beautiful and a perfect spot to watch the sunset! The concierge was always quick to respond to any questions we had. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay here again!!

We only stayed one night, but I absolutely loved this property! Easy to get to and to check in. The host was super responsive and helpful as well! All the animals are also a huge bonus!

We had such a wonderful stay! The host made us feel incredibly comfortable and was very responsive throughout our time there. They went above and beyond by accommodating us with tables and chairs, which made it easy to host a small family gathering. We had no issues at all getting in and out of the property — everything was smooth and simple. On top of that, the place was beautiful, and the views were absolutely stunning. We truly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to book again for future stays!

Perfect for what we needed. Very clean. Great location.

This is a great place for adventure and had everything we needed. The lay out of the house is very nice with a lot of natural light and view of the lake and includes a few impressive animal mounts. One recommendation, read through the owner provided book thoroughly upon arrival. There is very interesting information regarding the property, it's history and some key points of interest including maps and marked trails. Really a great place to go wander and we're already recommending to friends.

The location was perfect as we were closet Stillhouse Hollow Lake and conveniently close to our kids/grandkids. It was ideal for us to use as home base for all of our activities. Clean, quiet, and exactly as described was worth every penny!

We had an amazing stay at The Elm- the pictures really don't do the view justice! Michelle was a phenomenal host- letting us park a camper there, as part of the family was continuing on another adventure, and even let us check in a bit early when we had a break between wedding events. The house had extremely comfortable beds, plenty of seating, lots of space for the kids to play, there was a well stocked kitchen, and lots of games! The family was already talking about when we could do another family getaway there. Everything worked perfectly and it was a 5 star stay all around.

What a fabulous lakefront property! This home had everything we needed for a family weekend away, including a large kitchen stocked with more kitchenware for cooking and baking than we could have hoped for. The living room is large, bright, and airy -- with plenty of comfortable seating -- and the view of the lake is truly stellar. Watching the sun set in the evenings was a highlight, for sure. The main bedroom (with windows galore and an equally stunning view of Lake Belton) is also a calming and private space for those seeking more privacy away from the main living areas and upstairs bedrooms. Amenities galore (golf cart, ping-pong table, kayaks, multiple levels of decks), it was a shame we were only there for a short weekend and couldn't spend more time enjoying them. We hope to be back! Finally, Skip is an uber-responsive and kind host; you'll be in great hands with him if you stay at this property.
