We are far enough outside of the city to enjoy the peace and quiet, but just a short drive to all the action. We are close to Monticello, James Monroe's Highland and 28 minutes away from the city center of historic Charlottesville. There are plenty of vineyards all around us and a couple of orchards, too.

Private Forest Camper Retreat

Enchanted and very private forest retreat with tree swing, loads of amenities, and a comfortable, clean RV with modern conveniences! Large chill groups and families welcome, no loud parties or events. 15 minute walk to camp (mostly flat except beginning of trail) OR *drive directly to camp.* Most vehicles will be fine - ask if unsure! Super low sport cars or luxury vehicles would not be the best, though! It's an adventurous forest drive, so expect mud, bumps, scratches, and tight turns.

Guests staying in the Boxcar have access to the shared amenities of Rassawek Station including the patio “Flat Car” and our Lodge Cabin. Guests also have access to our ponds and 5+ miles of private country roads for hiking, running and biking. The boxcar living area has a sofa and coffee table and small area with table, two chairs and a mini fridge/freezer with a Keurig. The bedroom has a queen bed and dresser and there is a full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.

VERY secluded with PRIVATE River access, STUNNING views, and a Hot Tub! A unique property offers modern amenities with a cabin feel. Granite countertops and upgraded appliances, custom tile showers, high quality mattresses, leather reclining couch. But the best part is the covered porch overlooking the James River! With your own private river access, you can enjoy a cool dip in the water or just the serenity of the peace and quiet. Lots of wildlife and stunning views.

Private entrance. upstairs, Lots of light, Wrap around deck! Full private bath in room. Large room with a small kitchenette. Refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker a kitchen sink and induction burner to cook on. Also washer and dryer in the room. Upon your arrival there will be Banana Nut Bread, fruit & filtered water. All cotton sheets on the queen size bed (plus for the full size air mattress in room.) Cotton towels, shampoo, blow dryer, iron and ironing board.
