We had such a wonderful stay at Meylin and Bernard’s cabin! From the moment we arrived, Meylin was incredibly friendly and responsive. When our car unexpectedly needed a jump, Bernard was at our door within minutes, happy to help — we were so grateful for their kindness and hospitality. The property itself is unbelievable. The cabin is perfectly situated with the raw jungle behind you and a charming farm filled with all kinds of animals in front. If you love nature and animals, this place is a dream. During our stay, we saw so many sloths (including one right outside the bedroom window!) that we felt no need to join any of the sloth tours in town — the wildlife literally came to us! Overall, this was the perfect romantic escape and an ideal base for exploring La Fortuna’s breathtaking sights and hot springs. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and peaceful experience surrounded by nature.

Beautiful place! We could not have been happier with this cabin. Only thing I would say is make sure you turn right leaving here, because the road is difficult going the other way. It was very clean, safe, and a gorgeous location.

We had been traveling around Costa Rica for 3 months and towards the tail end of our trip, we wanted a stay that promised quiet and solitude - Michael’s place definitely delivered! The verdant peaceful surroundings makes it easy to just stay put on the property and enjoy nature. Michael very thoughtfully designed the landscaping to be an extension of its mountain/jungle surroundings. The interior space is cozy and clean with a very well equipped kitchen, which is important to us because we like to cook. Michael was a top notch communicator, always ensuring we were comfortable and had what we needed. All in all, a 5 star stay!

Ok el lugar y el anfitrión son perfectos el problema es que dice San Ramón y tal vez les pase como a mí nos lo imaginamos como cerca de san Ramón centro pero no! Literalmente es peñas blancas está como a 20 o 25 min de la fortuna entonces si piensan en algo como más cerca es complicado porque se dura más de 3 horas desde San José. Entonces para que lo tomen en cuenta pero vale totalmente la pena! La cabaña el río, todo genial la verdad

Hands down the best place to stay in La Fortuna. David was very responsive and got me checked in right when I arrived. The cabin is GORGEOUS. It feels like it’s in the middle of the rain forest. The inside of the cabin was the cleanest Airbnb I may have ever stayed at. Truly spotless and didn’t have bugs which I have found to be impossible in Costa Rica. The bed was so comfortable and the view from the kitchen made me so happy in the morning. It even has a little patio area underneath the cabin. Wish I could have stayed longer!! I’d recommend staying here over staying at a fancy hotel. You feel immersed in Costa Rican nature while still feeling very comfortable. Honestly this place felt like a nice hotel but way better. It’s worth it.

This place is awesome. Secluded yet right by everything. The tree frogs come out at night and sing you to sleep and the tropical birds awake you in the morning. There is a bit of a construction site near by, so a bit of noise if you like to sleep in, but nothing too major. You can walk anywhere in town that is necessary, but we had a car and found parking easy and convenient. Host was responsive the whole time and extremely helpful. The hot tub made this place feel truly amazing. 10/10 recommend

Excelente lugar alejado del ruido de la ciudad y conectado con los sonidos de la naturaleza. Aún así hay comercios muy cerca. Recomendación es llegar en carro. El internet funcionó muy bien para poder trabajar desde la casa. Por dentro la cabaña es muy linda, agua caliente, jacuzzi y todo para poder relajarse. La cocina cuenta con todo para poder cocinar bien. Los anfitriones se comunicaron rápido y eficiente. Sin duda recomendado.

If you are like me, always looking for views and sunsets don’t think twice! This comfortable little mountain home has by far the best views we have found so far in Monteverde. We usually head out at sunset time looking for a good spot but this stay we spent every evening watching the spectacular and ever changing panorama from our own front porch. Super comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Would like to add Waze will get you to the lower gate (search Casa del sol, Unnamed road). Just continue on the unpaved road and you will get there! Village is called Altos de Cebadilla.

Beautiful!! It was exactly what we were looking for and had a view of the volcano too. Description mentions we might see some bugs because it’s in nature but we didn’t see any! Super clean and the bed was so big and comfortable! Also Melania provided great local recommendations and it was very easy to find. We definitely would stay here again and recommend it!

Wonderful Airbnb! Looked exactly like pictures and it was so pretty and peaceful. Was easy to find and felt safe. The only issue was the amount of little bugs everywhere. Everything else was clean. Would be helpful to have more than two towels for guests.

Nos gustó mucho. Está en un lugar privado y rodeado de naturaleza, perfecto para descansar. La cabaña es cómoda, acogedora y bastante espaciosa. Todo estaba limpio y bien cuidado. En general, fue una buena experiencia y si volvería a ir.

Magnifique petite maison tranquille. Le chemin en arrière de la maison est également magnifique et c’est parfait pour une petite marche pour apprécier la nature. Je reviendrai certainement ici !

Gerardo y su esposa son muy amables, siempre atentos y muy serviciales. El lugar es hermoso, transmite paz y tranquilidad, la ubicación es perfecta si se desea descansar y desconectar de la rutina diaria. Recomendamos este hospedaje y esperamos volver pronto!!

Where to begin...a beautiful location outside of the thick tourist zone of La Fortuna. The views and surroundings were breathtaking. Only about a 10-minute drive into the center of La Fortuna with great dining options. The house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Agustin was responsive and very friendly. Highly recommend this stay for you and your family! Would also be very private and romantic for a couple.

La maisonnette est très mignonne et rustique. L’emplacement est tranquille et le ruisseau qui mène à une petite cascade est charmant. La cuisine manque de quelques commodités. Il devrait être indiqué que le côté rustique prédomine (murs non étanches, toit de tôle avec trous, cuisine et salon sont des aires extérieures, peu d’intimité entre la salle de bain et les chambres). En fait, si on s’attend à du Glamping, on est choyés!

Una cabaña hermosa con una vista espectacular al río. Es de fácil acceso y tiene muchos espacios abiertos como ranchos y jardines que hacen que tu estadía sea muy agradable. Si bien la cabaña es pequeña, dormimos fantásticamente. Muchas gracias al anfitrión por ser tan atento y servicial. Esperamos volver pronto.

Es un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo excepcional. Desde el momento de la reserva, la comunicación fue rápida y clara. El alojamiento era impecable y la ubicación perfecta. ¡Muy recomendable!".

El lugar tiene una excelente ubicación. Supermercados, Farmacia y abarrotes estan a 10 minutos. Los senderos son un gran plus del lugar. Llevamos nuestra mascota y el lugar simplemente es perfecto para caminatas y disfrutar el amplio campo verde. Un gran acierto!

Alojamiento hermoso, con vistas increíbles. Desde que llegas rodeado de hortensias. Tiene unos jardines maravillosos.Todo en excelente estado. La cabaña es hermosa, bien diseñada. Tiene un enorme ventanal que te permite ver desde tu cama todos los jardines. Es muy segura, tienes mucha privacidad. Camas y almohadas súper cómodas. Muy bien ubicada cerca de gasolinera y tienda de conveniencia, parque del Volcán Poás y a 40 minutos del aeropuerto. Es una joya. Lo recomiendo mucho. Y a propósito tienen perritos muy amigables en la propiedad son hermosos y de repente te van saludar

This Airbnb is absolutely beautiful. The view from the cabin is stunning and we saw so many birds including toucans right from the deck!! It’s absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. About a 7 minute drive is Rancho Alegre San Vicente restaurant and we had most of our meals or afternoon coffee there. We hiked to waterfalls right from the restaurant and the staff there was so friendly. The owner of the Airbnb was incredible and left us little treats in the cabin like crackers and cookies and even came by with his daughter to meet us and make sure we were finding everything ok. If we make our way back to the area next time in Costa Rica we will definitely be staying here. I wish I could give it 10 stars!!

Stunning place where your only regret is that you didn’t book it for longer! Fernando was incredibly responsive with questions and requests and met us at the top of the road to greet us and show us in. The hot tub was a real treat after a 7 hour hike and we even had 2 frog visitors while we soaked our muscles - just be sure to ask Fernando to turn on the tub about 45 minutes before you arrive home so the water is comfortably toasty. Highly recommend ordering the breakfast, with coffee, local tropical fruit juice, and the fruit bowl. It’s delivered to your door with a smile at the time of your choosing and you can enjoy it on the porch while sighting many birds and butterflies. The metal roof was lovely during the rain and quick 10 minute drive into town was perfect for a coffee run, souvenir shopping, and nice dinner. I can’t recommend this place enough! You will be satisfied from check-in to check-out.
