Holiday rentals with a kayak in Fightingtown Creek

What a great little place! The beds and linens were especially clean and very comfy. Climbing into the loft to sleep each night was so fun. Would love to stay again.

We visited Phillip’s lake house for a long weekend to celebrate our daughter’s upcoming 17th birthday, along with a few of her friends and our family. Within 20 minutes of being there, our daughter asked us if we could rent again this summer! The house is beautifully appointed (the girls loved the leopard stair runners!), and the home was absolutely pristine. The owners have left no stone unturned when it comes to detail, instruction and comfort, and there was plenty to entertain our crew inside and out! The surroundings are somewhat ethereal, not to mention peaceful, even with 6 teen girls, a ten year old boy, and our pup! We all loved that he got to join us, and being the water dog he is, he was in heaven! Our favorites were exploring the lake in the canoe and other water toys, so generously provided, and star gazing on the dock! We can’t wait to visit again! This home may have become our new Highlands tradition!

The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. We were in town for our daughters wedding and the game room, mini golf course and fire pit area kept the wedding party entertained in our downtime. The location is beautiful and private! The host is very responsive and we had no issues. We are already talking about returning for a summer trip next year!

An amazing place with an amazing view. Tim communicated from day 1 and was there if needed. Home had plenty of amenities that made you feel at home. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great place to stay! Would definitely stay again if possible.

I can't say enough about Lisa's home! It had everything listed and more. The thoughtfulness in the little details made this the best experience we have had with an Airbnb. This home is beautiful and the amenities at the lake were perfect. Our family had a wonderful week and hope to do it again in the future.

Beautiful place to stay in the woods. The kids had plenty of places to run outside and they really enjoyed the kayaks and playing in the pond.

The cottage was very clean and in a great location. It is close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge while still being in a secluded location. The hosts were very quick and helpful with messages. We took them up on a few of their recommendations and were not disappointed! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a Smoky Mountain getaway!

This is a great little house close to the lake for a getaway. The beach area was really quiet during our stay and is a short walk from the house. Just be warned, it is down a path with a section that is fairly steep, so may be difficult to carry all your lake gear to. The house was very clean and well stocked including a range of toys for multiple age groups which was a huge amenity. My only critique is the upstairs air conditioner (located in the master bedroom for the whole upstairs) did struggle a bit to keep up with it being hot and humid. The second bedroom was a little warm even with the box fan provided. Overall though, this was a great vacation getaway rental.

This home is in a gorgeous location right on the lake. There is opportunity to hang out outside or inside, depending upon weather. It was in the 30’s and rainy when we were there, the home was very cozy. It was too wet for the fire pit. The dock would be great for spring and summer hangouts. We fished by the lakeside on the last afternoon when the sun came out. Saw a couple of deer every evening and morning. Lots of restaurants, shopping, grocery nearby. The beds were comfy, linens clean, house was clean, heater worked. I would stay here again.

The home was very clean, and our gracious host went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. The surrounding nature was breathtaking, and the sauna was pure bliss—cozy, therapeutic, and the perfect way to unwind. One of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had—can’t wait to return! We are renting their other property next week! Truly the best experience!

My family and I loved the house. It was as described and had everything we needed as far as linens, paper products, coffee, and the piece de resistance, a basket of fresh eggs in the refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and not overly full of throw pillows! The very best part was our tour of the animals, and getting to interact with them. There is a small chicken coop nearby and we were allowed to have the eggs from it. What a treat during this time when eggs are so expensive. We were in town for a family reunion and we had such a better experience and stay than our family members who stayed in hotels! The house was very close to The Spires, where my aunt lives, and we will stay here every time we visit in the future.

This beautiful cabin was perfect for a large family! The view was incredible and the environment was welcoming and very clean! We especially loved the thoughtfulness of the s’mores kit for the kids! Russell was very prompt in responding and making sure we had all the details for our stay! The local grocery mart is about an hour away, so it was helpful he noted that in the description so we could stop and get all of our groceries before heading to the cabin. There were plenty of kitchen supplies, a clean hot tub, board games and a large dining table that the entire family could enjoy. The dock and kayaks were in great shape, great fun to fish! We look forward to visiting this home again. Highly recommend!!

This was a great place to spend my child’s birthday weekend. He caught fish all day and kayaked and they went out on the paddle boat. We made s’mores over the campfire and there were a bunch of indoor games we played when it was raining outside. The hosts made everything easy for check in and check out and communicated with us quickly when we asked questions. There are fishing poles at the cabin! I’m not sure if that’s mentioned in the description, but everything you need is there already, including life vests!

We had a wonderful time at Mary’s cabin! This was our third visit with our children, and this time, my parents joined as well. We all enjoyed having space to spread out and loved spending time outdoors on the beautiful deck and the dock at the lake. The cabin is comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked for enjoying meals in, and the close proximity to town allows for dining out easily. Mary is kind and responsive and we highly recommend staying here!

Roger is an exceptional host, he went above and beyond to assist us when there was an issue with our online booking. Cabin was very clean and had great views. Definitely plan on visiting again!!

I wish I could give this home 6 out of 5 stars! If you are looking for a peaceful cabin to have your morning coffee with a beautiful view, located on water with a hot tub and kayaking, BOOK THIS ONE! The location and the home itself are even more beautiful than the pictures. I was in awe at how beyond clean the entire property was especially for being in the woods! We had the most perfect weekend full of relaxing near the lake, kayaking, hiking, checking out blue ridge, & the mercier orchard. Excited to stay here again!

Beautiful and cozy little place right on the river!! It was exactly what I was looking for in a weekend getaway. My husband and I enjoyed it very much!! The nice little patch of “green grass” and the levelness out front was perfect for our little Yorkie. I absolutely loved the decorating and how every inch of space was utilized so well! My husband enjoyed a moment of fishing off the deck and we thoroughly enjoyed the s’mores that were left for us! Sounds of the river were amazing; I really can’t say enough good things about this place. The location was perfect and 3 miles to get to everything in Ellijay! The extra special touches really added up and we would love to come back again sometime!

We had an amazing stay at Corey’s cabin! Corey was very polite and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. The cabin itself was peaceful and perfectly situated right in front of the lake, offering stunning sunrises and sunsets. We also appreciated that he had everything you could possibly need to enjoy the place, including kayaks and a canoe with all the necessary safety equipment for a tranquil ride on the lake. It was the ideal spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature. The surrounding areas were fantastic for walking, with plenty of breathtaking scenery, all without needing to drive for more than 30 minutes. We left feeling refreshed and would absolutely recommend this getaway to anyone looking for a serene escape. Can’t wait to return! 🌿🏞️
