Nearby: lake, beach, shopping center, inn, beer garden, beautiful bike paths. From the train station (2 km): Train to Munich; Train for mountain hiking and skiing to Garmisch, Mittenwald, Oberammergau.

From here you can easily reach Munich city center for sightseeing, exhibitions, as well as Oktoberfest by S-Bahn, train or car in about 30 minutes. For further excursions, we recommend the largest thermal spa world in Europe in Erding, Poing amusement park and the exploration of many swimming lakes. The house on the lake belongs to my wife and me. My son and his wife coordinate the rental for us (co-hosts). The lower apartment in the house is rented, the upper one we use occasionally. The farmhouse is located almost in a secluded location (a direct neighbor), surrounded by meadows and forests in the beautiful East Allgäu.

Kneissl vacation home on Lake Starnberg

The Kneissl vacation home is located on the high bank of Lake Starnberg in Allmannshausen, a rural village, about 30 km from Munich and about 50 km from the mountains. Walk to the natural swimming coves on the lake in 10 minutes, for sure-footed walkers, a path through the adjacent forest. Cycling tours, hikes in the area and the mountains about 25 km away are possible.
