Waterfront holiday rentals in Far North District

Michaela and Dan’s beautiful house was great for our three day stay (family group of four couples and two young children). Conveniently close to Paihia and also fully equipped with everything we needed plus extra touches to make us feel at home.

We had a fantastic stay at Swiss Chalet. Great location close to all amenities yet in a peaceful spot. Very responsive hosts who went out of their way to help with all our questions. Flexible check in and check out. High quality fixtures and fittings and very comfy bed and pillows. Thoroughly recommend

One of the things that’s hard about finding a place in a new place is the sense of relative distances. We were further outside of town than we had expected, but man was it worth it. The views down to the bay were spectacular. And being from the northern hemisphere, the night sky is of particular interest. We were lucky with high pressure, so being just far enough outside of town gave us breathtaking star gazing. Jo was so helpful in making suggestions for places to see, quickly able to help us prioritize based on the way we roll, a good mix of walking and driving, a wonderful resource and real hospitality pro. Already looking forward to our next visit.

The Loft is a remarkable place! If you are thinking about staying here, don’t delay and book. The Loft delivered, and exceeded, all our expectations! It is immaculate, well equipped and has every amenity you could want for your stay. We used it as our base to explore the Bay of Islands and it was perfectly situated. Evenings spent enjoying the bay view from the balcony and eating yummy food at nearby dinning options. Anita Jane is a fantastic host. Super responsive, helpful and guided us well. One of our best AirBnb experiences!

An absolute dream house! Stunning apartment with a gorgeous view. You definitely feel like spending a holiday with style :) Breakfast at Seaside restaurant are mind blowing! Best coffee in town. Lovely spotlessly clean, modern rental unit with pretty sea views. Perfect for a couple of nights stay in Paihia. Only 15 mins walk into town. Nice quiet location with path 2 minutes walk down to the beach. Jane was a very friendly, helpful host.

John’s place was absolutely fantastic—exactly what we were looking for! The location, right next to the ferry in Opua, couldn’t have been more convenient, giving us easy access to explore the area, whether by ferry, boat, or car. The boathouse is a truly unique experience, built right on the water, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our stay. It was such a treat to wake up and hear the gentle sounds of the water just below us. The accommodation was spotless, with the kitchen and bathrooms immaculately clean, which made us feel right at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and every detail of the space was thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. We appreciated how well-stocked and organized everything was, from the kitchen essentials to the fresh linens. John was an excellent host, always responsive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!!

Beautiful home with gorgeous viees of the sea on both sides. Plenty of shared space for games and meals and the bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. The BBQ was easy to use and clean, and the kitchen worked well.for cooking for a big group. The location is great, just a short drive from Kerikeri and there were plenty of birds in the tranquil evenings.

Words cannot even describe this gem of a home Beautiful and well functioning layout with all rooms facing the ocean, open floor planning and top notch equipment everywhere. Furniture is modern, clean and feels like a hotel. The view over Bay of Islands is nothing short of breathtaking. Kip and Lynn and their sweet dog Rosie were amazing hosts and had purchased cheese, crackers and champagne for our arrival. They went out of their way to make us feel at home - which we most certainly did. An amazing place which we will forever be greatfull to have experienced.

Perfect location, and enough things to do in the area to keep you occupied for days and days, found it hard to leave Northland! Hoping to come back here for a longer visit. Friendly neighbours and a gorgeous view

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Kerikeri! Mark and Sally were fantastic hosts—always quick to respond and genuinely committed to ensuring we had everything we needed. The house was impeccably clean and stocked with every amenity we could ask for, making our stay truly hassle-free. What really stood out, though, was the stunning view from the property. Waking up to that breathtaking landscape each morning was a highlight of our trip and made the experience even more memorable. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in a gorgeous part of New Zealand, this is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to return, and we highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Kerikeri!

Fantastic place! We thoroughly enjoyed the location with the beach right by its doorstep and enjoyed the walks to Opua township on one side and Paihia the other. The house is clean and the view from both the deck and living area is amazing. Jane and Tony were welcoming and we especially loved the freshly baked homemade sourdough bread.
