Holiday rentals with beach access in Fão

Fabulous views-probably the best the area has to offer! We loved staying on this side of the river-there is still a lot to do/great restaurants, but very easy to walk to the Porto attractions. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and attentive-in fact, they provided us with a whole list of recommendations on check in. This third floor apartment does get rather warm on hot days, despite having strong fans and open windows-it’s something to consider although the lack of AC is well advertised. Amazing place!

Very nice place with perfect location in Gaia . Beautiful apartment with ocean view , kind host , nice people everywhere . The seafood around the river was extremely tasty .

Nice place right at the beach and about 15/20 from Porto City Center - an easy drive or take an Uber. Plenty of parking upfront. Well thought out rooms and all the amenities - very clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Manor House in Porto! The highlight was definitely the terrace — we spent every evening out there enjoying the stunning views across the river. It was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the city. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a scenic and peaceful stay in Porto.

The apartment is just like in the photos, everything is clean, quiet place, next to the promenade and restaurants. We had a great sunny day to walk around and get to know La Guardia a little more.

The apartment and the location or the view and the amenities were great. However, the truth is that a lot of hype is being built up. The host can't do that, but a completely new district is being built and you can hear it from the balcony from Monday to Saturday until 7 pm. You hardly notice it in the apartment. Therefore, 5 stars with a reservation from us.

We loved our stay at Pedro’s apartment- really well located right on the beach, with easy access to amenities and the wider city. It was really fantastic to have somewhere to sit outside and look at the ocean after sightseeing. Pedro was a fantastic host, really friendly and responsive. Would highly recommend this place!

The house of Susana , is charming , super cozy , we feel at home . Pena was the little time we enjoyed it , they were good times in the family and to improve we took our dog , who was also very well received . The only aspect I would say to improve is really the time of check out , it is quite early , I think it does not make much sense especially for those who have not been able to enjoy the house enough, which unfortunately was our case . thank you very much Susana for your sympathy with everything ! We'll be back for sure!

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. Highlight was the unbelievable views from the pool and terrace. The villa and garden with pool & basketball/football court is completely private, perfect for small groups. There are some great local restaurants and river beaches, and Porto centre is only a short drive away. Be warned - there are lots of steep and narrow roads! João was a brilliant host - greeting us on arrival, and easy to reach throughout. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

The small house is a wonderful holiday destination. It is very lovingly and at the same time practically furnished. So you have everything you need. The location directly by the sea is great. It is also good that there is a fireplace, it can be uncomfortably cold in the evening. I found the conservatory very practical, it heats up during the day and you can use the heat for the house. It also serves as the connection between the house and the bathroom - very well solved. We also used the barbecue a lot, especially since there is freshly caught fish in the fish shop around the corner. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

The house is a stand alone accomodation with a lovely front terrace surrounded by fields....if you love nature, this is it...close by is a super restsurant if you don't feel like cooking and about 15 min max a coffee shop...so basically you don't need anything else...

Maria greeted us and had cheese and cold beverages and a few other amenities in the fridge , we were able to get some great information she was very friendly and helpful . The views were fantastic exactly like the photo’s . Went to the Espinho market on Monday it was huge great deals and something for everyone was easy to get there . Plenty of walkways all along the ocean you can walk for miles . The train station is very close that you can take to Porto just FYI if you do take the train to Sao Bento Porto which is the downtown you have to change to Train 2 at the main station. This area is easy to get around and parking was close and free. Would love to come back to this area to explore some more .

Clean and spacious and quiet. The street is bland but the sea is so near with great beach cafes. Pretty walk to the old city, or a nice bus ride. Ruben was super nice and helpful.

Our stay was excellent! Elsa was over the top in every way! We had a gift of wine and custard tarts when we got there, Elsa arranged a reservation at an amazing restaurant and she responded quickly to any inquiry. Would definitely come back to this beautiful sanctuary.

Beautifully located! Wonderful view, excellent bakeries nearby. Good to have a secure, inside place to park our car.

The apartment was really nice and spacious with a big balcony where we enjoyed the sun. The kitchen was also well equipped with the essentials. Also a big plus was a private parking spot in the garage. Paula and her team were very responsive and helpful. We had a great stay!

There were three of us women friends going to start the Camino Walk. It was the best experience. Philip let us check in early as we had a red eye from Toronto. Paula met us early and helped us check in. The condo is gorgeous. Perfect for us. So clean and do equipped. From the beautiful towels to the plates to the beach chairs. Everyone was wonderful. I couldn't recommend it more. ! Location location!

I booked this accommodation because the view of the Douro River was so beautiful, and I was very satisfied! I kept walking because it was downtown just across the bridge, but it was okay. It was nice because the house was spacious for the price and there were all the cooking utensils:)

We spent 4 very pleasant days in the apartment, which is very well located in the center of Matosinhos and has all kinds of businesses nearby (also the beach!). It's great for a couple or a single person. And Fernando, the host, will give you all the information you need to enjoy your stay, and will be on hand to resolve any issues that will make your trip even more enjoyable. In short, a great experience!

The apartment is as described in the application, with spacious, exterior rooms and very well equipped both in the kitchenware, as well as in the bathrooms or rooms. The terrace is excellent and very well equipped for eating or simply relaxing with the views it has. Just one thing, you need a car to go down to the centre or have good legs 🦵as there is a lot of slope. Montse, the owner, extraordinary service.

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!
