Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Faial Island

We loved our time at the Captain Retreat. The view to Pico is impeccable and the cottage has such a good vibe with cosy furniture and everything you need to feel at home. The willow tree in the spacious garden was beautiful! Perfect for everyone looking for a quiet place in nature.

No words can describe our experience at this amazing vila. It was absolutely amazing: the house itself is very well located, the views are stunning. Marcos and Diana were very helpful in everything we needed. Pico island is an amazing place on earth and to get to know the island like we did was only possible with this 5 star accommodation. We chilled, we had swims in the infinity pool, had great barbecues…I will be back for sure. Thanks to all the staff and especially to Marcos for all the hospitality and kindness.

Top accommodation, very clean and tidy as well as super practical. Everything available, kitchen very well equipped. Parking right outside the front door. Quiet location, good starting point to explore the island by car. Paulo was always very easy to reach - check-in went smoothly. Clear recommendation from us.

We absolutely adored the house and were sad to leave. The views are amazing. And the house is really homey. Big kitchen nice and bright bedroom and big living. It is in the middle of the vineyards, great for beautiful walks. We hope to be back next year!

We enjoyed staying in Joao's beautiful house, which looked better than in the pictures! The property is well-appointed with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The outdoor area is gorgeous, with different levels and plenty of green to please the eye. Lovely to sit out with a glass of wine or a good book and, if weather permits, BBQ. We wholeheartedly recommend Joao's place and would definitely come back.

The house is amazing! 😍 The view is absolutely stunning – you can relax while looking out over the ocean, and if the clouds clear, you’ll see the majestic Pico volcano right in front of you. It’s a super chill spot, just a 2-minute walk from the beach and close to the town center. Waking up to the sound and sight of the ocean was unforgettable. We loved every moment!”

We recommend the nice house and garden! We enjoyed the remote location a lot. Loved the outdoor shower, air conditioning (the weather was very humid) and the terraces for breakfast and dinner. Plenty of space for 4 people. There is a bike, but you need a car to visit most of the places. There are two walks you can start right from the house (Capelinhos, Capeço Verde).

We spent five wonderful days at Casa da Esquila, Very well located accommodation, 5 minutes walk from the Sea. Its central location on the Island facilitates those who want to visit the different points of Pico. The house is very well equipped and decorated, just like the photographs, having provided a very comfortable stay. Communication with Regina was very easy and fast. We traveled with a baby and had to request a cot and a papyrus seat, both of which were arranged without any kind of problem.

We absolutely loved staying at Margit’s home. It was so beautiful and we felt so at home there. Nestled between the mountain and the ocean, we could not have asked for a more perfect place to call home during our stay on the beautiful island of Pico! There is a short walk to a natural (slightly man made) pool next to the ocean where you can also jump into the ocean and there are stairs to climb out. there are no sand beaches on Pico so this is how you swim safely! It's great!

This place had everything we could ask for. Beautiful clean interior with amazing views from both decks. A very short drive to the supermarket and anything else you could need. Hosts were responsive and willing help us with anything we needed.

THE HOUSE IS AMAZING! Every part is perfect! It’s the only house that we stayed during our holidays that is decorated for Christmas, and you can feel the thoughtfulness from the host. Indeed the house is well maintained and you have everything needed for living here. Many check-in gifts. Amazing view of the sea and the volcano. Taisa is very kind and helpful. I really hope to visit again.

Great house, amazing view and also great restaurant nearby. The hosts were very responsive and always happy to help. The WIFI was a bit temperamental but overall we had an amazing stay.

Palmira and Mario were amazing hosts. They attended all our needs and then some! They provided valuable information about Pico and Portugal. They were always fun and full of laughter. We loved sharing stories with them. Their life stories were incredible for sure! Their breakfasts were terrific, so much food, all local and organic. Their home is very clean and the views there, unsurpassed. Best part-we are thrilled to be able to count them as friends now! Of course, we can’t wait to return...❤️

It was the best Airbnb experience we have ever had! Palmira and Mario are one of a kind. We have never met hosts being that friendly, welcoming and heartwarming like them before. We regretted that we only stayed for three days and can’t wait to come back. Only after this short period of time it felt like family we left behind when we had to leave again. Besides that they also own a fantastic house with a terrace (and room) that offers the best view over Lajes and the ocean. If you decide to stay with Palmira and Mario you will have an unforgettable holiday for sure. We want to thank them again and will always keep in mind - LIFE IS GREAT!

We loved The house and it’s terrace. It comes with with local cheese, honey, wine and bread - all very ver tasty! A natural swimming pool is closed by. And Jose even provided us with a car when we could not find one because all car rental services were booked out. We defenitely recommend!!

Beautiful, minimalist design house, in which we felt very comfortable. The colours and furniture are coordinated and create a very pleasant atmosphere. Everything you need is available in the house, including a washing machine / dryer and yoga mats. The location is very private and has a beautiful view of the sea and the countryside. The terrace is very spacious and private. Communication with Jules was straightforward and helpful. We enjoyed the days very much despite the rain and will be happy to come back. Thank you, Jsabelle
