Of the 6 different places we stayed during our time in Iceland, this was our favorite! A well equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable and just an overall great place to stay.

A lovely cabin in a quiet area. It’s a pretty small space, but it has everything you need or a 1-2 night stay. The hot tub was great to have and enjoy the peacefulness of the area.

Heiðrún’s cabin was absolutely amazing, beautifully located, setup incredibly well and felt very cozy, but the real stand out was Heiðrún herself. We were so incredibly grateful for how lovely, accommodating and sweet she was and it made our very special trip even more special. We will absolutely be back and couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone visiting this beautiful part of the world.

beautiful house in a perfect spot to explore both borgarnes area and snaefellsnes area. big automatic hot pot in the house, nice information from the owner to the surroundings and very clear info about the house itself also. second time we stay with heidrún, and it's been amazing just as the first time. we will come back to one of her houses soon.

A beautiful house with everything you need and wonderful surroundings. Snaefellsnes is the place to live if you want a nature experience and many places to drive to.

We booked the Grund Guesthouse as the first stop upon arrival in Iceland for an 8 day road-trip with a group of 8 friends. We booked the accomodation for two nights and we were very positively surprised; being with a group of 8, we had the whole house to ourselves! What we really enjoyed was the additional huge 'summer room' in the back of the building, which was perfect for breakfast and dinner with our group! Highly recommendable!

Such a beautiful setting, authentic and peaceful. They allowed us to hike the property, up to the waterfall and through the hills. absolutely picturesque. If you are looking for a stay on a farm that allows you to see back in time what Iceland felt and looked like 50 years ago, the peace and tranquility, unplugged from the world, this is it. That is in addition to the amazing view across the valley to the Atlantic Ocean, unlimited hot water from the ground, and delicious fresh water for drinking. Highly recommended.

This place is nestled in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, making it a perfect retreat. The on-site restaurant is open until 10 PM, and the food was fantastic. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also excellent. After a long day of hiking and driving, the outdoor bath and sauna were a big plus. The rooms, kitchen, and bedroom were spotless and clean, contributing to a very comfortable stay
