What you'll do
Escape the noisy city life and avoid the busy weekend crowds around the scenic hot spots of the Blue Mountains to follow us to a very peaceful and idyllic part of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, the Wollemi National Park with its tranquil Glow Worm Tunnel Track and an historic, 400 meter long railway tunnel lit by thousands of glow worms. This track is a not difficult (Grade 3) round walk of 6.6 miles (10.7km) which takes 4 hours whereby the 320m elevation gain is a good exercise for those who love hiking. Our interpretive guided tour is specifically designed for very small groups of maximum three participants to get a most personal experience on the walking track as well as during the journey of 50 miles (80km) from Katoomba to the west in our well equipped Landcruiser. Enjoy unspoiled nature and learn about the history, geology, flora and fauna of this gorgeous part of the World Heritage Area. There will also be plenty of opportunities for great photo shots including wild kangaroos and wombats. Bring your own food or let us stop for a coffee/lunch break in one of the iconic mountain communities or in Hartley Historic Village which we will also visit on our way. Please videos of our tours in our Tube channel 'WolfgangHediBlueMountains' We meet in front of BLUE MOUNTAINS VISITOR INFORMATION opposite of Katoomba train station or can pick you up locally.
Hello from your personal guides Wolfgang and Hedi, the only local tour guide couple (why settling for one guide if you can get two) in the Blue Mountains, who love showing you the magnificent sights and sounds of this UNESCO World Heritage Area. We are passionate local hiking enthusiasts with a National Park & Wildlife Service issued Parks Eco Pass license for guided walking tours who want to share with you our experience of many hundreds of mountains hikes, showing and explaining to you - Hedi has a master in mineralogy - the natural wonders of our Blue Mountains. Please also check our other experience 'Blue Mountains Amazing Hiking Tracks' for guest reviews of our tours. As active supporters of the Australian Conservation Foundation, we are making a donation for every single hiking tour that we conduct.
