I joined this mochi-making experience and overall, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
During the class, we learned how to make several types of mochi, including daifuku, dango, and grilled mochi. It was a fun and hands-on experience, and I appreciated being able to try different techniques rather than focusing on just one type. The instructor was very friendly, informative, and helpful throughout the session, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
I do feel that the experience was worth the price, especially considering the variety of items we made. However, I think the timing could be improved. The class felt a bit rushed, particularly since making mochi can be quite time-consuming. In my opinion, it would be better if the session were extended to about 2.5 hours when there are more participants (around 5–6 people), and kept at 2 hours for smaller groups.
That said, it was still a fun and worthwhile cultural experience, I still recommend it.
