What you'll do
Oregon's perfect day: tackle the whitewater of the White Salmon River and then relax with amazing, hand-crafted Oregon wines! Heading east from Portland, we'll cross into Washington State to float down the exciting White Salmon River with professional river guides. The White Salmon is a small river that punches well above its weight with dozens of rapids packed into 2.5 hours on the river. Dry off and we'll make our way to Hood River, where we’ll sip like locals at two boutique wineries. In an intimate setting, learn local wine making history and the art of viticulture. After rafting, a casual picnic lunch awaits before we head off into the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. The area’s micro-climates allow for cool-climate white wines and pinot noirs, as well as bold sun-loving reds like cabernet, Malbec, Syrah, and more! As you travel through the Columbia Gorge from the river toward the wineries, you’ll get a scenic overview of the region, possibly including views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Multnomah Falls, Beacon Rock, and other Columbia Gorge landmarks.
