What you'll do
You’ll be welcomed into our kitchen to master the fine art of cooking, following my mom's recipes. Using only the freshest ingredients I'll show how I prepare and make our traditional food. We’ll enjoy Indian drinks, some starters and a delicious meal together whilst I give you insight into some of the oldest recipes in the world. We’ll welcome you to our home and serve you one of our traditional Indian drinks (chai, lassi, lemon soda, fresh seasonal juice, etc.). The class will begin with an introduction to the spices, herbs and ingredients that we will be using in the recipes. We’ll focus in more details on the North Indian cuisine which includes dishes like chapati, paratha (Indian breads), seasonal vegetable curries (garlic bhindi, aloo gobhi, dal, pumpkin curry, carrot curry, paneer masala, tinda curry, eggplant masala, baigan bharta, and gutaa curry). My wife Harshita and I will start with a demonstration and then you will have a chance to make round chapatis breads and a vegetable curry by yourself. We’ll also serve an Indian dessert to accompany our meal. There will be typical traditional Indian food and drinks, a good conversation and an informal and intimate atmosphere that makes feel at home surrounded by friends. We will be happy to provide gluten-free and vegan food on request. We will also provide e- recipes of all the dishes we cook together.

Monty & Harshita
My name is Monty, I was born and brought up in India and I have been working in the travel industry for almost 14 years now. I am a people person, I like travelling, love food and enjoy meeting likeminded travellers. My wife Harshita and I love to cook so we decided to provide cooking lessons for our international guests travelling through India. During this class, we'll walk you through the culture and history of Indian cooking and we'll eat what we cook together. It's a hands-on immersive experience, and always a lot of fun! Note: Please reach out to us directly if you would like to suggest a different time/date for the class to meet, or if you are interested in a custom menu/private classes! My co-host is my wife Harshita for this experience and we both are here to give you the best culinary experience possible in India.
