About me

Former publisher of a nationally distributed coffee lifestyle magazine, I began my journey roasting coffee back in 2006. I first branded my small-batch roasted coffee as Catalina Island Roast Coffee during a 3 year stint living at sea level on an island off Southern CA. Then, my coffee journey took a huge turn when I relocated to the Southwest town of Pagosa Springs, CO where I discovered that the coffee roasted at high altitude had many benefits. The High Altitude Coffee Roaster brand was born.
