What you'll do

Touch of Class II boat tours will depart daily for a 3 hour tour - a unique opportunity on the Huntsville chain of lakes. Captain Dan will share the rich history of the local lakes and area - the Algonquin Steamship era, the development of tourism and Huntsville’s evolution over the years, as well as numerous tidbits of information and lore that only a local would know. The tour passes through the heart of Huntsville’s waterfront which is home to numerous restaurants and shops where a stop can be made . Guests are also welcome to pack their own food. ( no alcoholic beverages as per Ontario boating regulations) or can stock up on snacks at the marina store before departing. Once a tour is booked, Captain Dan and guests can customize the tour to satisfy guest’s particular interests while out on the water. Life jackets and all safety equipment will provided. Children’s life jackets must be provided by parents to ensure weight requirements are met. Guests are responsible for dressing appropriately for weather conditions and bringing hats and sunscreen. Please note** The boat does not have a washroom. An outdoor facility at the marina is open July and August.

I am a retired teacher/principal with 50 years of boating experience. I have taught the Red Cross, Power Squadron and basic boating courses to hundreds of Muskoka students. As well I previously operated a boat tour business on the Huntsville chain of lakes from 1983-1992. In 1992 , I piloted my 30’ trawler from Ontario to the Bahamas and back. From 2005 - 2008 I sailed our 28’ sailboat on the waters of Georgian Bay.
