What you’ll do

Growing up, I was entranced by the candy-colored Cadillacs and souped-up hot rods that cruised East Los Angeles. Those shiny paint jobs and proudly Chicano spectacles shape my own art today, shown in museums like Mexic-Arte and the Cheech. Ride down to Band of Vices, one of my favorite LA galleries, for a zine-making workshop with a lowrider theme. Explore vintage magazine scans, play with materials, and learn airbrushing techniques to create your own DIY booklet inspired by the streets.
This experience is hosted in English.

About me

I'm an interdisciplinary Chicana artist from East LA with a BFA from Cal State Long Beach and I’m currently pursuing an MFA at UCLA. My work combines fine art with lowrider aesthetics, highlighting women and queer voices in spaces that have historically excluded them. My exhibitions have gained national attention, featuring at venues like the Cheech Marin Center, Mexic-Arte, and Bakersfield Museum of Art.
