If you, like me, wondered how Kirtan and the Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros could possibly fit together, let me assure you—this pairing is pure magic.
From the moment Angelica welcomed us, her passion for sound as a tool for unity was palpable. Inside the Foro Universal, we were surrounded by David Alfaro Siqueiros’s 360° mural La Marcha de la Humanidad. He envisioned this “total art” environment to dissolve the boundary between spectator and artwork, and that is exactly what happened.
As our voices rose in call-and-response chant, the Polyforum’s unique acoustics amplified every note, wrapping us in resonant waves that felt both grounding and elevating. The circular architecture turned sound into a living, breathing halo—an experience that transcended ordinary listening and moved into genuine sound healing.
Standing beneath Siqueiros’s masterpiece while singing ancient mantras, I felt part of something vast & timeless. It was uplifting, intimate, and profoundly moving. Don't miss this!
