Shadi is a fun and open minded guy who will change your perception and the myths you read about Jordan. My tour didn’t go 100% as planned but sometimes things don’t go to plan when you’re running a demanding hospitality business.
The good:
I felt 100% safe with Shadi as a solo female traveler. Shadi has travelled the world, understands other cultures and is very open minded. I recommend booking the cooking class Shadi offers, great way to connect with other travellers and experience a Jordanian home.
The one place we went to, C*ling was pretty cool. Such a fun club where everyone is welcome and just there to have fun.
Improvements:
Shadi double booked a cooking class over my nightlife tour. Better organisation is needed to avoid disappointment. As compensation, I was invited to the cooking class for free. The cooking class finished late so there wasn’t much time left to actually do the nightlife tour and Shadi admitted he was exhausted so we went to one club - C*ling.
I was disappointed that I didn’t get to experience the bars as promised but overall it was actually a good night.
Best to make sure you that when you book the tour, you confirm with Shadi that you will experience everything promised by the tour. If it’s not possible, better to reschedule for a better day. Top tip - Thursdays and Fridays are the best days of you want to experience the party scene!
Shadi also has a great Arabic party music playlist! I’ve saved a lot of songs from it and will play these when I’m back home and missing my time in Jordan!
