What you'll do

We’ll stay in family homes in Madmaheswar Valley, a serene Himalayan valley full of exotic nature and wildlife. The people of the valley started this local community tourism project to offer us a look into their culture and traditions.

We’ll hear from a village storyteller, take a guided tour of the village and its landmarks, witness traditional dance, trek to an ancient temple, and learn about the region’s farming techniques. A cook will teach us traditional Garhwali recipes and an artisan will show us how to make Himalayan bamboo handicrafts.
