What you’ll do

Xochimilco’s canals are more than colorful boats and music, they’re home to chinampas, the ancient cultivated fields that still feed the city today. As biologists & farmers who grew up working this land, we'll show you how our living ecosystem actually works. We’ll sail through quiet canals, step onto a working chinampa, learn about irrigation and harvesting, and get our hands in the soil. Then we’ll enjoy an included lunch made with ingredients fresh from the gardens before returning to shore.
