Knuckles 5 Peaks Hiking Challenge The Knuckles Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka, in the Districts of Matale and Kandy. The range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resemble the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy. This tour is flexible, depending on participant interests, and I'm able to add some dates if required (please inquire via direct message). Activities: Hiking, Sightseeing and Photography Highlights: Waterfalls, Tea plantations, Tea Villages variety of flora and fauna. Transfer distance: 35km (1h 40min drive, one way) Distance: 12km Elv @ The starting point: 987m Elv @ The highest point: 1865m Total Ascent: 878m in first 6km. Duration of hiking: 6-7hrs

Where you'll be
Knuckles range (Dumbara mountain) range is located off Kandy, in the northern end of Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. To the south and east of the mountain range is Mahaweli river basin while to the west are Matale plains. Knuckles mountain range features 34 peaks ranging in height between 1900 meters and 900 meters. The five high mountain peaks of the range having formed in the shape of a clenched fist, the British in Ceylon named 'Knuckles'

Hotel pick ups and drops free of charge within in City Kandy. We always monitor the weather in Knuckles mountain range before the hike. Depending on the weather we might ask you to bring a rain coat
