Where you'll be

Surry Hills is one of Sydney's oldest neighbourhoods. Its streets are lined with beautiful Victorian-era terraces, old mansions. It is notorious for its winding laneways and many narrow dark alleyways.

Today Surry Hills is a very trendy suburb with uber-cool cafes, restaurants, 19th-century corner pubs, gin distilleries, micro breweries and sourdough bakeries. But it has a dark and disturbing past and parts are said to be haunted.

Elliott is a great guide and the best story teller I’ve come across recently. The tour was a brilliant way of understanding Sydney history for non-locals as well.

Elliot is a fantastic storyteller who brings the grisly tales of Surry Hills alive. The case notes and clippings were a great souvenir.

This was a great tour! I'm a local and learning about the history of areas I frequent was so great. There's so many stories and things you just don't realise. Importantly to me, it was CovidSafe being outdoors the entire time. It was great value and a great experience, and I would definitely recommend to locals and tourists alike.

Elliot is an amazing storyteller and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of murder cases that took place in Surry Hills. He is also very considerate - he moved us to shaded areas to minimise the chance of us being sunburnt (especially when he needed to explain the case in detail). I highly recommend this tour to all true crime fanatics 😃
