Where can I begin with describing how much I loved this experience. I was over 2 hours late and Manami could not have been more accommodating and caring. I’m vegan and she had lots of vegan options and ways to make the sushi beautiful. We had wonderful conversations and I got to learn so much about the Japanese culture through our conversations. She dressed me beautifully in the kimono and adorned me with flowers in my hair. This was my favorite part of my trip in Japan and beyond grateful to have had this experience. Manami and her husband now feel like family in Japan.

Manami is a warm and kind soul. She has this motherly aura that made us feel welcomed and loved. She was so eager to dress Iris up beautifully and comfortably like she was her own daughter, and took some great photos that would last a lifetime. We wore beautiful kimonos and I even had a samurai katana to pose and play with.
Manami was very patient in guiding us making our very own temarizushi. There were lots of laugh and fun in the classroom!

This was such a fun experience! One of our absolute favorite parts of our trip. Manami is so kind and welcoming we really enjoyed our time with her. When we arrived, she had samurai robes for the kids and my husband ready and then let me pick from several beautiful kimono. After we were dressed, she took lots of really nice photos of us. Then she taught us about the different kinds of sushi and was so patient with the kids as she taught them how to make miso soup, sushi rice and Japanese omelet. She taught us how to make several different types of sushi. At the end we had a really wonderful dinner of the soup and sushi we made. I cannot recommend her experience highly enough. Thank you!
