booked this surfing experience expecting a fun and professional lesson, but unfortunately it turned into a very disappointing experience. The day before the lesson, the weather conditions in Los Angeles changed significantly and it became clear that the experience would likely not be safe or enjoyable. I completely understand that weather is outside of anyone’s control, which is why I tried to contact the hosts as early as possible to either cancel or simply reschedule the lesson for another day.
What was most frustrating was the complete lack of communication. I reached out multiple times through Airbnb and received no response whatsoever. No attempt was made to accommodate the situation, answer questions, or provide any flexibility despite the circumstances. As a customer, the bare minimum I expect is communication, especially for an outdoor activity so dependent on weather conditions.
