Where you'll be

A visit to the site of the ancient fort atop Craig Phadrig, the wooded hill that rises on the west side of Inverness. The short ascent reveals glorious views over the Beauly Firth. It was probably first built in the Iron Age around 300 BC and then, for some reason lost in history, abandoned and burned. Later it was re-occupied as the headquarters of a powerful Pictish king.
