What you'll do

Craving Italy?

Treat yourself, friends, and family to a culinary journey through Florence, Italy. Prepare your taste buds for a fun, delicious adventure with one of Florence's top culinary guides.

Feast your eyes as we Zoom around Florence together on a culinary tour. Visit hidden gems and discover their local specialties through the magic of the internet.

First, the Mercato Centrale, Florence’s famous fresh market. We’ll gander at street food, produce, fresh pasta, and more.

Next, the San Lorenzo area, where I first lived in Florence. I’ll show you historic bakeries, where you’ll meet the owners and snag a Tuscan pastry recipe. Then a tiny, historic wine shop, where I'll point out food & wine highlights and share a quick antipasto recipe that you'll love to make and share for years to come.

Finally, we visit a chocolatier who produces his own cacao in Santo Domingo. And of course, we’ll visit a gelato shop and I’ll teach you about how gelato and sorbetto are made.

After our Florence tour, we’ll focus on olive oil & balsamic vinegar tastings: How they are produced, how to use them, what to taste and smell, and more. Did you know true balsamic vinegar is a family tradition going back over 1000 years?

I look forward to connecting with you as we visit the faces and flavors of Florence together online.

Great option for private parties or team building activities.

Originally a food and locations photographer, my journey to Italy began in 1997 when I found my long-lost family in Sicily.
I came to find my roots and then stayed for my love of food and wine.
After working for a wine tour, taking Sommelier courses, and living in a Chianti winery, I started giving food tours in Florence 12 years ago. I've been offering my tours and hosting guests from around the world ever since.
My top-rated tours have been featured in several publications and shows, including the Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Fodor's, and Deutsche Welle.
Since we're currently unable to travel internationally, I want to bring Italy to your home with my interactive, online food tour. I look forward to meeting you, teaching you, and learning about your roots. The best way to connect is by sharing our culinary heritage through food.

We booked the tour as a family event and had a really good time together! Antoinette was a very patient and professional host who quickly immersed us in her neighborhood and made us feel as if knowing the people we encountered. Her passion for food was infectious and at least I couldn't stop eating during the tour and moved Florence up my destination list. I highly recommend her tour!

Absolutely lovely experience. We weren't sure what to expect from a culinary tour via Zoom, but it exceeded all expectations. Antoinette had a beautiful way of guiding us through Florence with very nice and personal stories about all the places we "visited" which made it feel as if were physically on the streets of Florence. Can't wait to visit in person all the places she helped us discover! And we learned quite a bit. Would also definitely consider booking another Zoom experience with her or an in-person tour when that's available.

This virtual experience took me out of my quarantined mindset and allowed me to travel to Florence while never leaving the house. Antionette explains the food and culture so well I could almost taste it!

We had such an amazing culinary experience with Antoinette. Antoinette was an amazing host, she created a friendly and fun atmosphere, shared loads of great stories and brought us on an amazing trip to top tasting establishments in Florence (although all virtual of course!). We also learnt the best places to go in Florence for bread, meat, wine, chocolate and ice cream, learnt how to buy good balsamic and olive oil and even had a go making our own anti-pasti and enjoying it together. Antoinette was also very generous with her time and food tips. Super enjoyable evening with loads of laughs. We all really enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone. 5 stars!

A wonderful tour and insights into the language and locals you truly could not find anywhere else. Toni made it feel very personalized and her passion for the city and of course its food were second to none.
