What you'll do
This will be a fun, hands-on, and different food experience in the home of a French food buff. We'll start by raiding the local farmers’ market together, and I'll guide you through the sights and smells as we shop for seasonal produce. We'll then return to my home, and I'll teach you how to cook fun and simple recipes and turn the produce you like into superb dishes your friends will love you for. When we're done cooking, we'll begin to devour all of our food—and all of a sudden, it will turn into a party where we celebrate the joy of eating. Far from the over-polished spoons at stuffy star-studded restaurants, this is a cooking class that opens its doors to all, for one of the most unique dining experiences you’ll find in Paris. Unlike other French cooking lessons, this culinary class will treat you more like a fellow food-lover, rather than just another student with an apron and a chopping board.

I got my cooking secrets and traditional French recipes from my grandmother, a genuine “cordon bleu” chef. As a student, I worked in several famous French and Italian restaurants in Los Angeles to share my passion of food over the ocean. But I quickly came back and now, to continue imparting my love and knowledge of French cuisine, I invite you and other guests to my place for a fun cooking class.

Where you'll be
I will greet at 10:00am you outside Metro Saint Mandé on line 1 EXIT 1 and take you shopping to the Saint-Mandé farmers' market, one of the largest outdoor food markets in Paris offering the most spectacular range of fresh produce. It is across from our meeting point and steps away from the apartment where we will cook together and share our meal. By the way my apartment has A/C! The experience is lasting in and about 4 hours.

Paris street markets are opening in different locations every day. My local framers markets is only opened on Thursday and Sunday, in the morning from 8am to 1pm. We need to be started at 10 am to avoid crowds and have a time to enjoy before it gets overcrowded. This is why being on time is needed.
