Yoshie was an amazing host and teacher! Our cooking class with Yoshie was the highlight of our trip to Tokyo. From the moment we arrived, she taught us about Japanese homes and traditions. Her home-style recipes were traditional, simple, yet incredibly delicious, and not something you’d find in a restaurant. We made 5 dishes in total - Cucumber salad with kelp, Spinach with ground sesame seeds, Nikujaga, home-style miso soup and even hand-made gyoza! We’re well-traveled and adventurous eaters, but these flavor combinations were nothing we’d ever experienced before. Yoshie is an accomplished cooking teacher and caters the recipes to your skill-level. Then we ate our feast at Yoshie’s dining room table. It was so special to get to meet Yoshie, who is so warm and kind, and experience a real Japanese home-cooked meal in a real Japanese home! We’d recommend this experience to everyone.
