What you'll do

We will spend a wonderful day, we will go to the area called "Ring of Cenotes", we will arrive at a special and magical place where we will descend and enjoy the ancient underground waters of Yucatan, in this natural wonder you can swim, snorkel or simply lie down and enjoy a good rest in contact with mother earth, disconnected from the world and its rush. Here we will spend a good time in the womb of mother earth to find ourselves, perhaps facing our fears to overcome them, to become aware of the wonders that surround us and of which we are part.
We will know and enjoy the three types of cenotes, the CLOSED one that with artificial lighting we can safely enjoy, the SEMI-OPEN that with enough sun rays will make the crystal clear blue waters of one of the best cenotes in Yucatan shine, and we will end with the OPEN that will leave you amazed by its landscape.
You can take selfies and photos underwater the place is a paradise.
A life jacket, visor and snorkel will be provided for your safety and enjoyment.
After this recharge of energy and good vibes, we will go to the restaurant of the place to enjoy delicious Yucatecan dishes, such as Poc-chuc, Stuffed cheese, Papadzules, etc. Once satisfied, we will visit and climb the legendary Mayan pyramids of the town of Acanceh.

I love this land full of mysticism and history. I feel proud of my roots and wish to share them with those who visit us.

This was my first time seeing and swimming in Cenotes. I think this was the best way to introduce me to them. Great time and even better food.

Antonio leads a wonderful experience. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that we had the option of riding bicycles from one cenote to the next which was really fun for us. The cenotes were spectacular and Antonio made sure to get us there early so we were by ourselves for most of the experience. I wish we had paid for a guide at the ruins. Definitely bring a little cash to get a tour of the ruins when you get there if you're interested in that because they are fascinating and we had lots of questions.

Reserve this tour NOW. Best choice for a tour in the Merida area for the places offered, such as cenotes or Uxmal. Within 4 days, I did 6 different tours with Antonio, so I know his work better than any other tourist. I did extensive research before coming to Merida for a week, and I looked at many websites and in many guidebooks to do my research. Your other options (Antonio’s competitors) are not even in the same time zone compared to what Antonio offers. - His tours are MUCH CHEAPER than any other tour, - you can be the only customer on the tour for no extra price (just you and the guide, a 1-1 tour!), - His day tours leave very early in the morning so that you arrive at the most famous place for that particular tour before any other tourist does; - His guides are very kind, super polite, well-organized, and very diligent in making sure that you don’t forget a valuable item in a place such as a cenote, etc; - The lunches are at very authentic places, often on the property of a Mayan family’s modest home, perhaps at their own kitchen table that doubles as a restaurant at lunchtime; - The itinerary for the tours are very well-researched, meaning that you go to really beautiful cenotes or haciendas or restaurants that most tourists have never heard of; - The transportation is in a car, not a bus, and you get to travel on back roads in the countryside with no other cars near you; there is no loud music and they drive very safely; - The guides bring water and a modest snack for you along with a life jacket for the cenotes; - Antonio and his guides have very low profit margins. A lot of the tour’s cost goes to gas, admissions, and Airbnb itself. Thus, Antonio is not able to pay the guides a lot. If you can read this in English, you have the money to tip the guides at least 20% of the tour’s cost. Please do so. The tourism industry is being devastated right now by a lack of tourists due to Covid, and Jose and Alex (Antonio’s English-speaking Mexican guides) are extremely kind, hard-working, modest, and diligent about your safety. By the end of each tour, you will grow fond of Jose and Alex, so keeping in mind that their financial realities are much more difficult than yours or mine, please be generous with your gratuity to them. I will really miss Jose and Alex.

This tour will be one of the highlights of your trip! Although there may be many cenotes to visit in the Yucatan, the area you visit for this tour is truly fantastic. And even though the cenotes are all located near one another on a large property, they are all COMPLETLEY different in feel and look. To top it off, the ride to the cenotes on the horse drawn cart was such a fun and unexpected treat! What really made the tour amazing even more so than the cenotes themselves was my tour guide Alex. Alex was had so much knowledge about the area and the Mayan culture. He made sure I felt like a VIP then entire trip. He was extremely attentive to me and was always checking to make sure I was not only enjoying my trip but was getting what I wanted out of the experience. I ended up being the only one on the tour that day and I appreciate all the help, information and kind words he gave me that day. He even took pictures for me because I was traveling solo. I couldn't ask for a better Airbnb experience and the price is unbelievable for what you receive in return.

I wasn’t sure what to expect because I’d only been to one “cenote” on a resort in Playa del Carmen before. Alex was our tour guide and was so incredibly knowledgeable of Mayan and Mexican history. Because of him, the tour was enriching and educational. He also provided information about the geology of the cenotes and wildlife within them. The food was delicious and his familiarity with the staff, in addition to his kindness toward us, made me feel welcomed and added even more to the trip. The cenotes were beautiful, the food was delicious and the pyramid was a great addition. The value of the trip was amazing. These experiences were twice as pricey through other providers.
