What you'll do
When you arrive, you'll be fitted to your bike & provided with a helmet, a bottle of water & sunscreen. You’ll be shown how to use your bike & ensured you understand the safety expectations. We’ll set off on our journey (13km round trip) along the Bargara coastal bike track towards our 1st stop of 10 coastal destinations. Guests can expect a leisurely pace that is flat all the way being a comfortable ride for all fitness levels. At each destination the interesting stories & facts of the surrounds will be shared with stunning photo opportunities available. We'll spot the native wildlife & flora along the way, including birds, kangaroos & sometimes whales through whale season. We'll : * visit the man-made rock pools located at the iconic ‘basin’; * park the bikes & take a walk out onto the Bargara rock pier where we can look back onto the Bargara Coastal village; * spend time at the Mon Repos conversation park & eat some fresh local fruit to recharge & re-hydrate; * take a walk through the turtle centre at Mon Repos; * rest & take in the views of Neilsons beach; * visit the salt flats where native plants grow in the salt marshes; * rest at my favourite coffee spot where morning tea can be purchased & enjoyed while overlooking the ocean; * stop at the 200yo heritage archway; * stop & rock-hop on the volcanic rocks at South Kellys beach; * take in the views at Archies beach
I have been exploring the beautiful Bargara / South Burnett region for many years on bike. I know every inch of the Bargara to Mon Repos coastline & its gorgeous hot spots. I'm super passionate about sharing the interesting (and sometimes unusual) facts about our history & the glorious surrounds. I also don't mind a good ol' yarn and value making life long connections with new people. I have previously worked in many tourism operations delivering awesome adventures & activities to visitors including kayaking, abseiling, obstacle courses, archery, fishing & mountain biking so I am up to speed on safety standards and ensuring participants are well informed, equipped and meet safety standards. These days for me though, there is nothing better than waking up, jumping on a bike to exploring this beautiful coastline
