Although this excursion does offer a stunning view of Lake Geneva, we found the overall experience extremely challenging. Our reservation was on a hot, August, day. When you arrive to check in, you find out that there is no water or restroom available at the capite, your final destination. The hike is very steep--especially at the end. My wife began experiencing heat exhaustion on the climb up. Guests should be given instructions about the heat and told to bring their water as needed--if the hosts can't provide. I would also add that cooking fondue in extreme heat is not as enjoyable as other times of the year.
