  • Jessica was a very proactive host. Her response rate to any of my queries was amazing. She does everything she can for you to have a good experience. The apartment is very well located, minutes away from the heart of the city. It is a beautiful place, furnished with taste, albeit a bit smaller than what the photos make it look like. The sky lounge is magnificent!

    Sandra December 2015
  • Jessica was a very kind, attentive and flexible host. The apartment is very light (and brightly lit at night) and immaculately clean. There was lovely linen and towels for us to use. Everything you could need for delicious at home could be found at Victoria Markets, a 3 minute walk away. We were glad it was just the 2 of us we we realised on entering that my partner and I had both somehow morphed some of the photos of apartment block's common areas with what we thought was the actual apartment in our minds and so were very surprised at how small it was.

    Rachel September 2015
  • Good host and good Apartment

    Tony January 2016
  • Jessica was very flexible and understanding that we required a later check in than normal due to our flights. We found Jessica to be warm, friendly and helpful. We were not dissapointed when we arrived the view from the apartment was beautiful and amazing! Although the view from the sky lounge on the 53rd floor was even more amazing and would have to be one of the best in Melbourne! For a family of four we found it ideal for a couple of nights, especially if your kids don't mind sharing a bed. The apartment itself was immaculate, and nicely appointed. It is also in a great location, just a 5 minute walk to Melbourne Central Shopping Centre and CBD.

    Elissa September 2015
  • The appartment was perfect for us for the following reasons: - really central to Melbourne - close to the free trams - great views - clean - comfortable beds - host was responsive to our queries - parking was available in the building

    Stuart October 2015
  • Jessica was a fantastic host. The condo was cozy, clean, and had a great view. The sky deck view was to die for.

    Noah February 2016
  • Jessica is a easy to communicate with and the location was very handy.

    angela October 2015
  • Good location with its proximity to the Queen Victoria Market, CBD and free tram zone. A lot of Asian students stay in this condo as it is located very near to RMIT and you will see a lot of people come in and out at the lobby. Jessica is a good host. Apartment is smaller than expected but clean and good enough for four person. We can see hot air balloon taking off from our window. Slight disappointment as the tv is not working and we have problem connecting to the wifi.

  • Location is really convenient for tourists, just a traffic light away from southern cross station. Grant was not around so we had the whole place to ourselves. He had someone else to handle instead and it was still a smooth experience. A pity that I didn't manage to say hi to Grant personally! Condition of room is sufficient and he has alot of guidebooks available for us. Thanks Grant! My first Airbnb experience has definitely been an awesome one!

    Yvonne December 2014
  • A fantastic airbnb experience. Grant is a lovely and very friendly host, who ensured a smooth arrival process, has great communication and was so kind as to allow me a later check out time. I can't recommend Grant's place enough. It is central, conveniently located, very tidy and clean and the bed is super comfortable! Thanks Grant.

  • It's my first time use Airbnb, and I got a good experience from Grant. The apartment has good location, the room neat and tidy, and Grant is friendly and easygoing.

    yan April 2015
  • We had a wonderful stay at Grant's Southern cross station apt. It was large, comfortable, with a washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, wonderfully comfortable bed and linenes, a huge tub and shower. Grant was away so we had the entire apt to ourselves including 2 bathrooms. The location was perfect, close to the free tram, the light rail an d shuttle bus to and from the airport. We enjoyed working out each day in the gym and swimming in the indoor pool. And at times, we would return to the apt. with groceries from the Victoria Street Market, or change our clothes for dinner our or the afternoon at St Kilda Sea Baths and beach. I would highly recommend this listing and would stay here again!

    Sally January 2015
  • This is my first time using Airbnb. Very good experience. Thanks Grant, he is a very nice, easy going person, and very helpful. Before arrival, he contact us several times to make sure he will be there to greet us. The apartment itself is also good. It is previously old building, currently with modern facilities. I like the staying in Grant's place, will definitely recommend.

    Jenny January 2016
  • Fantastic location for SouthernCross rail and bus stations. Really handy for the skybus to/from the airport, central for city shopping, great tram connections. Grant is truly a very good host, very helpful, responsive, flexible, you could not ask for more. Very clean, tidy, lovely place, comfy bed. What can i say - i cannot fault my stay there in any way. Will definitely try him first on my next Melbourne visit.

    Ingrid December 2015
  • This booking was great! Would recommend to anyone. Location, tick. Cleanliness, tick. Hospitality, triple tick. Grant is a great host who is especially helpful in making your stay more convenient!

    Julia October 2014
  • Grant was very responsive and was waiting for my arrival. It's a super convenient location as main tram and train line leaves from Southern Cross station. Clean room and bathroom and free wifi access as well. Will not hesitate to stay again.

Richmond is one of Melbourne's most popular inner urban suburbs only 2.5km from the city. Everything is right at your doorstep in TennysonSt. You could just about eat at a different restaurant every night of the year without leaving 3121! For breakfast try Friends of Mine at 506 Swan St or Top paddock at 658 Church St. Maybe try Baby for lunch at 631 Church St and then dinner at Fonda at 248 Swan St. Catch the tram along Church St to get to Chapel St & on to St Kilda and shop till you drop in Swan St or Bridge Rd. It is a 15 minute walk to the MCG and 17 minutes to Rod Laver Richmond really does have it all and I am sure you will love it as much as we do This apartment must have the most convenient location in Melbourne as it is surrounded by public transport. The Richmond station is literally a 2 minute walk away.
  • Jo was great to deal with and always available to answer questions if needed. The apartment itself is in a great location, is well appointed and very comfortable. It's the perfect place for people wanting to explore all that Melbourne has to offer.

    Jim January 2016
  • Jo was a great host. Very good communication and responded promptly. Loved the studio apartment unit - was modern and stylish with all the necessities provided. Extremely comfortable Queen size bed provided a great nights sleep. Car spot was good, with train station not more than 150 metres away (no noise though, as it is on a side street). Café on the corner mid-week and a short walk to the main road for more shops, cafes and nearby Supermarket. Great base for a Melbourne stay. Would have no hesitation staying there again or recommending it to others.

    Michael October 2014
  • The place is exactly how it's described in Jo's listing - to a tee! Jo was very responsive and helpful from the time my booking is confirmed. She was at the apartment to receive me as well as to make sure the place is tidy prior to my arrival, just as she has promised. The apartment is clean , tastefully done up and perfect for single / couple. I have stayed in Airbnbs around the world and I have to say this is the BEST experience I've had so far - and it's gonna be pretty hard to beat! Whether you're a first timer in Melbourne or someone visiting again like myself , Jo's place is perfectly located. Dining , shopping , sight seeing - you name it! nothing is more than a short stroll or a train station away! Richmond itself is a real gem - you don't have to go far really :) I am already planning my next trip back and I will definitely stay here again.

    Stephanie August 2015
  • Jo's place is a great place to stay if you are looking for well priced places which have a bright and modern atmosphere. It is literally almost less than a minutes walk to Richmond train station with plenty of food stores and restaurants around the bend. Most of all, Jo provided us with complimentary milk, tea and cookies, as well providing dishwashing liquid, sauces and cooking oil. Jo also has a fast response rate and it was easy to communicate with her, highly recommend this as a place to stay.

    Justin June 2015
  • This cute little apartment was exactly what we wanted and needed for our city stay! So close and convenient to local bars, cafes and public transport yet private and quiet enough for a great nights sleep! Thank you Jo!

    Jodi June 2015
  • Loved Jo's place. So close to everything. And the place was immaculate. Had everything we needed.

    Brent July 2015
  • Jo was very prompt and helpful in emails and the check in instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The place was immaculate, beautifully presented and practical, with everything you could ever need for a business or tourist trip. It was a pleasure to stay here and I hope to visit again.

  • Thanks Jo. The accommodation at Richmond was great. The description of the property was accurate, it was clean and welcoming and proved everything that we needed. The location is ideal to explore Richmond and the city and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We recommend it to visitors going to Melbourne and we will be happy to book again for future trips.

Gorgeous room with private bathroom and courtyard in a contemporary, three-level house, less than 2km from the CBD. You'll have the whole ground floor to yourself. The perfect base for enjoying the very best Melbourne has to offer.
A clean, quiet and classy room on the ground floor of an architect-designed, three-level house in the popular suburb of Richmond. Private bathroom and entire ground floor to yourself. On the middle level, is a huge living area, a fully-equipped kitchen and a spacious terrace to enjoy the afternoon/evening sun. Your room is bright and airy, with a very comfortable single bed, warm doona, selection of pillows, desk and wardrobe. It's at the rear of the building and is very quiet. Make yourself at home in the lounge, kitchen and terrace areas. Muesli, milk, toast and tea are provided and if you need something a little stronger, there's a coffee shop 43 steps from my front door. There's plenty of shelf space for you in the kitchen and fridge. Quynh and I live in the house and I work from home, meaning that I'm often around to help you, and can probably be flexible with check-in/check-out times. We love to make suggestions on what to see and where to go, and assist with any info you might need. Our bedroom + my office are on the third floor and your privacy will be respected.
Brilliant location at the CBD-end of Richmond, less than 2km from the CBD. All the cafes, bars and shopping that Richmond is famous for are just nearby. The MCG, Melbourne Park, Rod Laver Arena, AAMI Stadium, Olympic Park & Hisense Arena are all within a 10 minute walk. Richmond is a diverse suburb that has been the subject of gentrification since the early 1990s and now contains an eclectic mix of expensively converted warehous, public housing and terrace houses from the Victorian-era. It's a fascinating suburb to explore on foot. Richmond has a lively retail sector and amazing collection of cafes, bars and restaurants. Our neighbourhood has arguably the best public transport options outside of the CBD. It's a three minute walk to Richmond station from where it's one stop to the CBD. In the other direction, it's one stop to South Yarra and two to Hawthorn. The 48, 70, 75 and 78 trams to the City and South Yarra are all within 5 minutes walk, as is the bus to St Kilda. Fancy a walk? It's 4 minutes to Coles supermarket and there are at least 20 cafes/restaurants/bars within a 3-10 minute walk. Rod Laver Arena/the MCG/AAMI stadium are 10 minutes away and the Botanical Gardens/the Yarra River about the same. Most guests catch the Skybus from the airport to Southern Cross station then change to one of the seven train lines that pass through Richmond station. Important. We favour inquiries from people with established Airbnb profiles and from those who provide a some information on their interests and what brings them to Melbourne. As I work from home, flexible check-in & check-out times can generally be arranged. Please ask in advance. As well as a fully made bed with three pillows, towels are provided.
  • Andrew's beautiful Richmond 3 storey home was extremely convenient for my stay. The tasteful interior touches and guest bathroom were suggestive of an art-series hotel! The downstairs privacy and access was exceptional too - I felt quite at home having a much needed sleep in. It was easy to think it wasn't someone's home - but just somewhere we were all lucky to be hanging out. Lovely to meet the other residents too. Thanks for your help and for a great stay in Richmond.

    Natalie February 2015
  • Location was good, the room was clean and I felt very comfortable. l would like to come back again when I visit Melbourne next time! Thank you very much!

    Yumi February 2015
  • Andrew and Quynh are wonderful hosts. Andrew was in touch via text and met me at the train station - he even lugged my bag home for me! Their house is seriously beautiful. I loved all the personal touches, especially Andrew's photographs, and the super-cool bookcase! I felt at ease and at home. I was out late each night, so having the lower floor pretty much to myself (bedroom and bathroom) meant I didn't disturb Andrew and Quynh in the wee small hours. The bedroom is lovely, and the bed is super comfy. I loved the private courtyard too, and enjoyed my afternoons reading in my room with the sun streaming in. All throughout my stay, Andrew would check in and make sure I was comfortable. I'm sorry I didn't get to spend more time chatting with them both! I'd definitely recommend Andrew and Quynh's place to any fellow AirBnBer needing a super convenient, friendly and comfortable home away from home!

    Ashleigh December 2015
  • I'm very happy meet Andrew , he is sweet person , he put chocolate on the table for me , and prepare nice bread for my breakfast , And help me bring luggage and take me to train station , and we share each other photos , and talk more about travel , home look very beautiful and art , have many Andrew collection photos , bathroom offer nice shampoo and body shower , I just want say here make me more passion about my dreams , so recommend here .

  • I had a great stay at Andrew´s place. He is very welcoming and it was easy to make myself comfortable. His house is awesome, huge and stylish and I loved hanging out on his terrace. The room is small, but well furnished and has an extra comfy bed. The location is great: train station a couple of minutes away (5 minutes to the CBD...Andrew suggested walking, but I didn't try it) and Swan street with loads of cafes, bars and restaurants, and a supermarket, very close by. I walked to AAMI stadium in under 10 minutes. Richmond is perfect for a stay in Melbourne: a lovely suburb with a good mix of old and new, just near the city. Highly recommended

    Phong January 2015
  • Andrew was a great host. Made me feel really welcome with a glass of red wine and a chat on arrival. Apartment was really clean, modern and quiet & suited me perfectly as was just staying 1 night for training course in richmond.

    Amanda January 2015
  • I had a great stay and a great AirBnB experience at Andrew's place. Located in trendy Richmond, it is not only in an excellent location but also is a lovely place - very nicely furnished and everything is well kept and looked after. Both Andrew and his housemate Raine were super friendly and very welcoming. Andrew was a great host and shared not only interesting chats but also some local knowledge on where to find the best food. I stayed for 3 nights and would definitely stay again.

    Silvia January 2015
  • If you are used to 5 star hotels, this is the place for you. Stones throw to the city. Impeccably decorated, clean, and inviting. Andrew is a charming host who sees that your stay is the best it can be. Definitely returning, but I fear once word gets out he maybe constantly booked ;-)

This sunny, comfy & stylishly appointed studio is situated in the best part of Melbs... Fitzroy! It's in the epicentre of the best fashion, street art, restaurants, bars, parks & museums on offer, and is only a 10 minute stroll to Melbourne CBD.
The Studio is a beautiful, sunny and bright retreat from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne CBD and Fitzroy. It contains everything you could need for your funky weekend trip to Fitzroy or the perfect alternative to staying in the CBD on your Melbourne business trip or adventurous world travels. The Studio has a super comfy Queen Size bed with 1000 thread count sheets, a bright northern/Western facing aspect, wireless internet, Nespresso coffee machine and pods, kitchen, neat bathroom and a heater to keep you warm. The apartment block has a secure intercom entry and is located off the hustling and bustling Gertrude St. As our guest you will have access to * Full kitchen with stove, coffee machine and kitchen essentials such as salt, oil and pepper etc *Queen size bed with good pillows and mattress and warm doona for those chilly melbourne nights *Bathroom with toilet, shower, hairdryer, fresh towels, shampoo & conditioner *Communal laundry facilities We live close by in Fitzroy only a stones throw away from the Studio. We don't tend to see you during your stay however If you have any questions we are only a phone call away :)
The Studio is smack bang in the middle of Fitzroy with 2 minute walking access to some of the best restaurants in Melbourne like the two hatted Cutler and Co and two bars nominated in the top 10 of Australia, the Everleigh and Gertrude St Enoteca. If its high fashion you are after then just head 100m down the road to Gertrude St where you can find all the fashion and design stores your wallet can handle. If that does not satisfy you, then the Studio is located just a short stroll from Melbourne CBD, and if you are after other adventures Carlton Gardens is 300m down the road and hosts the State Museum (featuring a giant aviary) and the IMAX theatre. Just across the gardens is Carlton or... little Italy, you can grab a tasty bite of pasta and an aperativ and towards the east is the hipster happening Collingwood (bring your own beard and skinny leg jeans). Want to go for a run? head off around Fitzroy Gardens to the south and then loop back around to the west to Carlton Gardens to see some of the most beautiful historical parks of Melbourne. The most reliable and frequent public transport is the 86 Tram, it a famous tram line in Melbourne for its eclectic vibe (trust me just ride it and smile at all the interesting people that live in Fitzroy). The 86 stop is located on Getrude st just 100m from the front door of the apartment block. There are also several other trams located 100m the other way on Victoria Parade towards the city. Walking and cycling is alway a great alternatives however we recommend using Uber taxis when you here. Taxis can be pretty unreliable in my experience however Uber has always been a great and cheap way to get around (I swear I'm not sponsored ;) just think its a great service)
  • A fantastic location and great set up for a quick stay. I organised this stay for my parents (their first air BnB experience) and they loved it! Thanks for thinking of lots of little touches and for making them feel so welcome. They wished they had more time for a longer stay! Thank you :)

    Jess April 2016
  • Great location and cosy bed - ideal for what we were after. Unfortunately our stay was tarnished as the shower was not working (only produced scolding hot or freezing water) and after long days in the Melbourne winter we struggled to stay warm (and clean).

    Olivia June 2016
  • B's place was amazing and perfect for our weekend getaway! Convenient location, located so close to many of the highly reviewed restaurant bars cafes etc, and extremely close to the tram lines! It was a pleasure staying here and look forward to coming back!

  • Fantastic stay here! Ideal location and great apartment. Bree was brilliant at replying to our many questions and providing useful info.

    Daniel January 2016
  • We had a lovely stay in Bree's studio. It was very clean and exactly as depicted, bright and cosy. The bed is very comfy, and linen and towels were very good. It is great value for money with it's excellent location - Brunswick, Gertrude and Smith Streets just a walk away, as were the Fitzroy and Carlton Gardens, the Museum and much more. Will definitely stay again and recommend to family/friends.

    Lyn September 2015
  • Bree was an excellent host and responded/answered any questions i had very quickly. The place itself was perfect for what we needed during our short stay in Melbourne. The kitchen had basic essentials such as oil salt, pepper, tea etc which was convenient for our home cooked breakfasts and dinners. the bed was super comfortable which was an added bonus after 3 long days of walking and the heater made it even more comfortable. The apartment is very close to the city and the tram was basically outside our door making travel convenient without a car and it was a short walk to lots of shops and restaurants. definitely recommend and will stay next time i visit melbourne

    Mireille July 2016
  • Andrew was a wonderful host for our weekend trip to Melbourne. He remained in contact with me as we were approaching Melbourne, and was able to check us in early when we arrived prior to expected. He showed us around and was incredibly welcoming, but also allowed us to have our own space and do as we wished without intruding. The apartment is right across from the Queen Victoria Markets (you can see it out the windows!) and is within the free tram zone, and only a few stops from the city circle trams, which made it really easy to get around. We had a car with us, which we parked in the alley behind the apartment. It was a metered space but reasonably priced. The apartment was clean and tidy, and the cats were gorgeous, as mischievous as they were! If you're lucky you might get to hear some of Andrew's brilliant opera voice too!

    Kate June 2016
  • The location of the apartment was wonderful: only a few minutes walk from Melbourne Central and the Queen Victoria Market was just across the street. The room was tidy and cozy. Andrew was a great host, always there for help. And he has got two of the most adorable cats which kept us company.
