This space is a true tiny house, 200 sq ft nestled away from the downtown scene. Has studio bedroom with custom foam mattress 51Wx80L. The bed is high off ground and requires a step stool to get in. Additional single floor mattress, small kitchenette, bathroom with standing shower. this is a true tiny house with small hot water heater that last 5 to 6 minutes of hot water and 45 minutes to refill with hot water. My neighborhood represents the heart of Albuquerque once the main rail yard neighborhood, I am a 3 min Uber ride or 10 min bike ride from the main transportation hub, and the rail runner when I feel like taking a train ride up north to Santa Fe. I am a short Uber/biking distance from some of the best breweries in town. I am also 1 mile from downtown/ Convention Center. Small city and advise people to not walk alone in the evening no matter what area.
  • This is a great and affordable option! This space has all you could possibly need. Drew has some amazing extras that make the space feel like home!

  • If you’ve ever thought about staying in a tiny house, are curious about tiny houses, or are looking for a cozy spot to stay in Albuquerque, STAY HERE. You won’t regret it. The bed was insanely comfortable and the shower was larger than mine in a full size house. Drew was friendly, and the neighborhood is close to everything. You really need to stay here.

    Elise2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • It is a very cool, cute place. Small indeed (for 1 person or a couple sharing a bed), but perfect in its style. The kitchen offers everything needed and all maneuverability necessary. All works well. The bathroom is well equipped and the shower works great. The bed is very comfortable and cozy. It is worth noticing that the place is absolutely quiet at night, a rare find! In the evening and the morning some distant roosters were crowing, which added to the charm of the Zia tiny house.

  • Such a convenient and lovely place to stay— highly recommend.

    Hannah2019-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful. The check in and check out directions were very easy to understand. The tiny house is great.

  • My first Tiny House experience was awesome! Very clean house with every thing you might find in a 4 star hotel! Drew was fabulous host and very accommodating in making me feel welcomed! Although I didn't get a chance to meet him, however he was very punctual via text mess with any questions or concerns I had. His instruction's he gave as far as unlocking the gate or where to find the house key was on point! I would absolutely love to stay here again when I'm back in ABQ!

The South Broadway Neighborhood developed in the 1920s for the railroad workers.
  • Darcy’s place is the best! She and Kate were incredibly welcoming, and the space was wonderful for our large dog. The yard is idyllic and location close to fun ABQ spots. Would definitely recommend!

    Emily2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very clean and quiet. The backyard is a peaceful, well-manicured dessert garden. I wish I had more time to enjoy it. Their breakfast is not meant for hearty eaters but overall it was a lovely place to stop for the night.

    Mary2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed one night as I passed through with my teenage daughter. We were looking at UNM. Darcy and Kate were GREAT hosts. Check-in was flawless; the room and bathroom were very nice, as was the house. I enjoyed the peaceful backyard and the coffee they readied for us! Great people, great place. We felt right at home.

  • Really enjoyed staying at your home. Had a really good time with you and Kate . Wish me and my girlfriend can stay a little longer 😀

  • Darcy’s place is the best AirBnb we have ever stayed in. She was an incredible host - provided so many amenities (nice soap and lotion, extra blankets and pillows, amazing coffee, etc.), gave us very clear directions on how to get in and what to expect, and even provided treats and water for our doggies. It was a peaceful and beautiful escape from our never-ending road trip and we are so grateful to have been welcomed into her lovely home.

Spacious and unique room in my downtown home (READ ENTIRE LISTING PLEASE). Fairly private space to sleep/shower/stopover. Shared bathroom if my other guest room is booked. Walk to popular places in ABQ! Near Old Town/University/Nob Hill/airport/train station/bus terminal. Park free on the streets surrounding complex. Great for cost-savvy travelers. *Only Verified Accounts with positive reviews can book this space. Newbies are welcome to book once they have some experience on the platform*
Located in a prime downtown location. Everything is walking distance! First floor includes the two rooms (two separate listings) I have available for guests and the bathroom. Must be able to climb stairs if accessing the kitchen on the second floor. My space is on the third floor (not open to guests) so guest spaces are fairly private. Note: This room is a garage that has been outfitted into a room space so no natural light (ie no window) and which means it is great for sleeping since it's like having blackout curtains! Also, the room has a sliding door which is a little bit smaller than a regular standard door (see photo). If this is possible issue please check with me...large equipment or extra large suitcases, etc. Please DO NOT book this room if you are not ok with the description. It is a great space, though! People who are adaptable, have experience staying in hostels, or have an adventure streak: you'll enjoy the space. This room has an a/c unit in the summer and a space heater in the winter. -Must have a verified account and a history of positive reviews to InstaBook. Serious and Kind of Silly Note: Adults who want "special time," it's really awkward for everyone in the house when we hear you, and we will, so if you're looking for that time together, please book a more private space. :)
Downtown. Located next to nightlife, theaters, government buildings, incredible breweries, cafes, a grocery store, The University of New Mexico, CNM, Amtrak/Greyhound/Airport, The ABQ Zoo/Botanical Gardens/Aquarium, and Old Town. There is a great gym a couple blocks away if you want to work on your fitness. Most of this is walking distance.
  • Nice, affordable place to stay in a good neighborhood in Albuquerque, it worked out great.

    Jerry2018-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is great, with downtown only 15 minutes walk and old town somewhere around 30 minutes walk. Joe is a great guy to have a conversation with and really friendly! I enjoyed my stay here.

    Matthijs2018-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is a great host. He is personable, and easy going. He was able to show me around and make me feel 'at home'. Very clean spot, comfortable bed, clean and convenient. Great choice for a quick (at least for me) visit to ABQ!

Our two story Victorian home (1904), is located in East Downtown, within walking distance of The Grove, Farina Pizzeria and many other top restaurants, cafes and breweries. We are also within walking distance of downtown and the Railrunner train, which you can ride to Santa Fe. Share bikes and e scooters are located a few blocks from our house. We are a 7 minute drive to the airport, and even closer to UNM, CNM and Nob Hill. Fun Fact: Our house was Duane Chow's house in Breaking Bad (Season 3).
Featuring high ceilings, large windows and a tranquil blue-green and grey interior design, our house offers a retreat in the heart of Albuquerque. The house has front and back porches with outdoor furniture to enjoy our beautiful New Mexico weather. The front and back yards are tastefully landscaped and available to guests. We have a charcoal grill and a locally hand-forged outdoor table that seats 4. Both bathrooms have showers with glass doors, and the upstairs bathroom has a tub. The towels in the downstairs bathroom are from Restoration Hardware and the ones in the upstairs bathroom are organic. We provide bathroom products, including many items from Los Poblanos, one of Albuquerque's premier organic farms. We are an environmentally conscious household and use mainly eco cleaning products. All of the interior paint is Benjamin Moore Natura, so there are no harmful VOCs, and the upstairs carpet is made from plant fibers. The downstairs bed is a Lifekind organic rubber mattress that provides supreme comfort. The kitchen is outfitted with plenty of modern amenities, including a dishwasher, washer and dryer, microwave, plates, silverware, glassware, wineglasses and All Clad cookware. We have cups and mugs from Hanselman Pottery, a great local business to visit in Corrales. There is a filtered water button on the inside of the fridge, and we regularly replace the filters. We have a small french press and provide coffee ground for it. We also provide organic black and green loose leaf tea. We have high speed wifi and one TV that is connected to an Apple TV. We are signed in to Netflix and Hulu (no commercials), which you are welcome to watch while you are visiting. We also have a Mac Desktop on which you can sign in as a guest. There is a an iron and ironing board in the downstairs bedroom closet. In the upstairs bedroom, there is a mini split for individualized heating and cooling. Please keep the suite door closed for best temperature control. Down the long narrow hallway, there is a closet with hangers and extra blankets and towels. The shades are cordless, and you can gently push them up or down for privacy. If you've forgotten anything, please feel free to use any of the items in the bathrooms, bathroom storage areas or kitchen.
Huning Highlands is located just east of downtown Albuquerque. Most of the houses were built in the late 19th and early 20th century in various styles common to the Victorian era. The neighborhood is in transition with some houses fully renovated and others in desperate need of repairs. There are new, modern style homes where old Victorian houses were removed. The neighborhood is in an urban environment, so there are wonderful restaurants and walking opportunities but also the potential for urban crime.
  • Very clean, accessible places to eat and safe locality. The host responds very quickly.

Close to UNM and downtown and Located about 5-10 minutes away from the Sunport Airport (depending on traffic.) I live in a cute and cozy 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house with my house mate, Jessica. Our one extra room is used for Airbnb. Early check ins or late check outs require a 50% fee of one day price. Pet friendly but please let me know if you are bringing a pet! Late night check-ins are no problem.
I have a cozy house with an extra bedroom for the weekends. I have a small house and our rooms are right next to each other. Depending what I have going it is usually a quiet homes. My roommate Jessica and I like to watch movies in the living room. Keep in mind because of how small it is it can get noisy.
I live in a very Hispanic neighborhood and a church just a couple doors down. I have gotten to know all my neighbors in the past year and they have all been friendly and trustworthy. I have never had a problem with missing or stolen property but still I have cameras set up and bars on the windows, with a safety mechanism from the inside, in case of fire.

Large Victorian style house centrally located within minutes of the Railyard Markets, downtown, the University area, Nob Hill, Old Town, and the Bosque. We're very close to bus routes and are a 5 min drive to the airport. The room has a private secure entrance, shared bathroom directly across the hall, secured parking and yard with common sitting area, and is down the hallway from the kitchen. Small pets are welcome, we own a small friendly dog and a very friendly fat cat.
The guest room has a private entrance accessible from both the front and rear of the house. Guests will have wifi, a smart tv with Netflix access, as well as a coffee station and microwave in their private room. Towels, basic toiletries and an extra warm blanket are also provided. Kitchen and bathroom are shared. There is a laptop in the room as well, it's old but gets the job done if needed. The house is occupied by an artistic family and decorated with a lot of unique artwork and collectibles, including some taxidermy. These are mostly all located in the owner's half of the house, but we mention it out of respect for those who might find such objects questionable or offensive.
We are nestled right in the heart of the city, minutes from several attractions including downtown, the Zoo and Biopark, the Nob Hill shopping area, and many diverse bar and restaurant choices.

  • Chad and Diana are down-to-earth, easy-going people. When I crossed paths with them they were extremely friendly and helpful. My five day stay was largely focused on attending a convention in downtown Albuquerque. As a result, I was out for much of my stay, and I needed to pay attention to some business-related tasks when I was in their home. It was always quiet, and they gave me my space. It was wonderful to park my car in their garage and to walk to the convention center for my conference. I was the perfect exercise to start and end the day that was mostly spent sitting down.

    William2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Chad and Diana were fantastic hosts. I felt very comfortable at their home. It was clean and I had lots of space. They have great recommendations and made the process very easy. I would definitely stay here again.

This casita is private and comfortable, just minutes from central Albuquerque and walks along the Rio Grand. In an old New Mexico neighborhood, for a unique experience in small home living with every thing you need and nice hosts to boot.
Our home and casita are located south of Downtown Albuquerque, bordered by the Rio Grande and historic Route 66. Centrally located just 12 minutes from downtown, 14 minutes to the Sunport Airport, 15 minutes to UNM and the Nob Hill districts, 10 minutes to the Rail Runner to Santa Fe and freeway access and 9 minutes to BioPark Aquarium and the Zoo. We built our casita 3 years ago as an experiment in Small Home Living. We lived comfortably here for a year with kitchen, full bath, bedroom, sitting/dining room and a secluded outdoor living space.( and we're still happily married!) The kitchen is set up for light cooking with a refrigerator/freezer, cooktop, microwave and coffee maker. Some necessities are stocked as well, with grocery stores near by. The bedroom has a double bed with feather comforter and blankets, your choice of pillows and crisp new sheets. The bath features shower, toilet and lav sink. Newly installed hot water heater assures guests a generous shower on demand. Remember tho that Albuquerque is experiencing a prolonged drought so conservation is always important. There is secure off street parking in a fenced yard for your privacy and your pets pleasure. Of course, pets should be contained if left unattended. There are several bikes available for access to nearby River paths just blocks away. Albuquerque is a great bike town with miles of dedicated bike paths and lanes (maps available). There Is TV with local reception, DVD and DSL wifi provided as well as a great music system, iPhone/iPod compatible. We can help you discover and enjoy the area or leave you comfortably alone to explore on your own.
All the map apps will get you right to our neighborhood. If you have turned on to our road and are unsure of the next step, the house is the 3rd house on the right. Pull into the parking area through the gate, the casita is located at the back of the property through the blue gate.
  • Saba was out of town when my sister and I stayed at the Casita, so we did not get to meet her. However, she made our check in process extremely easy. The place was a wonderful retreat for our cross country drive- the fenced in backyard was great to relax in after being in a car driving all day. The only thing to be wary of is finding a place to eat later in the evening. We did not pull into town until 8 pm on a Monday and had a hard time finding something open past 9pm, but other than that, the place was great!

    Mary2015-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first airbnb experience snd Saba was absolutely great! Very warm and welcoming, and her daughter was just extremely cute as well. She kept in contact with us as we were driving down about our ETA and greeted us when we arrived. While it isn't a huge place it was great for 2 people. Perfect for staying a night while driving through Albuquerque. She has all the essentials there that you may need including Wifi, tea and coffee and an iPod with some great music on it. We were just there for the night and left in the morning to continue on our road trip so we didn't get to check out the town or neighborhood at all. But you do get to park behind a gate on their property which was great for us because we left some stuff inside the car. I would for sure stay there again if I'm in Albuquerque!

    Kristi2014-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Saba was able to provide extreme last minute accommodations. The unit was clean and comfortable. The parking was not as secure as I had hoped but it worked out fine. Would probably stay here again if I were traveling through Albuquerque.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the South Valley Casita. It was really inspirational to us to see how all of the things necessary for a place to live for a few days were present - the shelving, small stove, and kitchen cabinets were perfectly designed for the space. The neighborhood was quiet, Saba was accommodating and helpful, and it was a great place to launch from to see all the great things in Albuquerque.

    Andrew2014-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I loved our stay at the South valley casita! We had a comfy bed to sleep in, a nice sitting area to drink coffee in the morning, and two bikes to ride around town! The casita was also very clean and had good information on things to see and do in Albuquerque. If we had a question or a need, Saba was quick to respond. We really appreciated her telling us about the market that took place at the nearby railyards. If your looking for a place to stay in Albuquerque, we definitely recommend this casita.

Our place is a 5-10 minute walk from downtown and one block from the zoo. (Hint: Use the Albuquerque Zoo as a way to search if our place is close to what you want) Easy access to restaurants, nightlife, activities, and Old Town. You’ll love the place because of the neighborhood, the light, the comfortable bed, the kitchen, and the coziness. It is a great space for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The room is located in the upstairs portion of the house with a private bathroom.
The space is upstairs in our house, quite separate from our main living space. 3/4 of the way up the stairs is a private bathroom that has a shower, sink and toilet. You will have a sense of privacy as we do not use the upstairs when guests are staying here. The bedroom is on the East side of the house and furnished simply with a bed, dresser, bookshelf, writing desk, office chair and cushioned chair. If you have more than 2 people in your party, you have the option of using an air mattress on the floor in the room across the hall. This would be ideal for children or someone traveling with you who would like their own space. Please write me to request this option so that I can make sure the extra room is set up for guests (It is usually my study and can get quite messy).
Our neighborhood is nestled between downtown, Barelas (one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city) and the Country Club. It has a lot of character and is a good place to stay if you want access to Old Town or Downtown but want to be in a residential neighborhood. For those of you who are Breaking Bad fans there are lots of iconic spots within walking distance.
  • Great place to stay after a long journey and within walking distance of downtown so we could get some food and a few drinks

    Laura2019-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place and nice people! Enjoyed our stay!

    Jamy2018-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • A basic room removed from the hosts' living area. I walked from house to Convention Center eight times--took about 20 minutes on residential streets. the #66 bus was about a 11 min walk. Cab to airport cost $18.

    Cheryl2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great for the price. Great location. Never met Jessie, but her husband was very accommodating and nice. Although the room was inside the house, it still felt very private. Had a great stay.

    Jennifer2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jessie's place was very welcoming. The directions she gave for check in were very easy to follow and she was very gracious and understanding when we checked in later than anticipated. Everything was very comfy and clean. There's a little closet with hangers which was nice to have. Her place is about less than a 10 min drive to Old Town and about 20-30 min from the Tramway. Her dogs were never an issue and both her and her husband were very nice and accommodating and gave us some good pointers/recommendations. We had absolutely no issues with our stay and would definitely recommend staying here!

    Cecilia2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place very close to zoo. Room has excellent climate control tech to get the exact temp you want. Private bath with shower. Access to kitchen, and owners are super helpful and nice. Not a problem for me, but keep in mind the room is on second level —steep staircase.

    Aaron2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Jessie and Michael's home was exactly what I needed, a comfy bed and pleasant hosts. A great value in ABQ!

    Anna2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for a few nights. Jesse and Mike were very chill, and their house was our comfy home during our time in ABQ. Quiet but central neighborhood, easy walk to downtown and only a short drive anywhere else. The granola and coffee was well appreciated. Highly recommend!

Spacious, bright and fun spot 10 mins away from the airport. Short walk to Downtown,Old town,River Trails and the Zoo. The outdoor living area, filled with fruit trees, fresh herbs and flowers, is an amazingly quiet and relaxing place to be . Recently remodeled everything is brand new including the most amazing bed ever!! The decor is a collection of local artists work as well as my own surrounded by comfortable fabrics, fluffy pillows, comfortable furniture and a great book and dvd collection.
Eclectic bohemian vibe, filled with lots of art and natural light. Very comfortable space with a most amazing bed and shower !
    Safe Quite Urban Neighborhood
  • Zackerys place was great. Artistic, roomie, and clean. my fiancée and I loved it easy to get around from the apt to bars, restaurants, and Sandia. I’d stay here again.

  • Zackery’s place was stylish and full of artful touches. He really created a very cool spot with eclectic art and a great outdoor space. We had a bit of a noise issue with the neighbor in the main house late in the night but Zack dealt with it as quickly as he could. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Private entrance, kitchenette, private bathroom, queen memory foam bed, living room, eco friendly products, and off street parking. We have 1 minute freeway access and 5 minute airport access. Walking distance to main transportation hub including the Rail Runner. 3 minute drive for river access to trails. Jog or ride your bike to the zoo. Close to several restaurants. 2 miles from Old Town, 2 miles from Nob Hill. Uber Friendly Area. Many coffee shops & breweries. 1 mile from convention center.
This space is a true adobe house nestled away from the busy street. The casita has a comfy queen memory foam bed, small kitchenette, private bathroom and living room. The kitchenette contains a hotplate, microwave, toaster, hot water kettle and coffee maker and there is tea and coffee for you. The bathroom has a curtain for a door (i.e. there is no bathroom door so please note this). The living room is cozy and has a TV set up with a Roku box so you are free to stream Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. The space sleeps 2 comfortably. Best suited for one person or couple. We are walking distance to many downtown attractions. There are 2 different growers markets close by on weekend mornings during the warmer months (Kara makes and sells Kombucha at both. Come try some!). Central Ave hosts a lot of delish food (Standard Diner for dinner, Farina for pizza, and The Grove for breakfast are our faves) and there’s a theater down the street if you want to catch a flick. There are several breweries in the area and we are a couple miles from the Abq Zoo and Botanical Gardens. We are also just minutes from the airport making this space perfect for when you have an early flight in the morning or arrive late at night.
  • A great place exactly as described!

one bedroom in East of Downtown/Huning Highlands neighborhood--1985 Victorian-inspired townhome in a historic neighborhood, walking distance of restaurants, movie theater and much much more. Close to UNM, Presbyterian Hospital
My neighborhood is Albuquerque's first subdivision, platted in 1885 to provide housing for people flocking to work in "New Town", as that section of town created by the railroad was then called. Many National Register and State Register historic homes, walking distance to restaurants, downtown, Convention Center and downtown hotels, restaurants. Airport is about a 20 minute drive, and my home is 5 blocks away from the primary central city bus station, light rail and rail station. Convenient access to major interstate highways I40 and I25.
  • Excellent stay. Good price. Trundle beds were comfortable. Gordon was a swift and clear communicator and flexible with our check-in needs.

    Anna2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon is a fantasy caring host, very knowledgeable and passionate about Albuquerque and the local indigenous people's. He is a great person to have a conversation with and will make your stay in Albuquerque much richer with his input

    Irvin2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon is a nice person, but the swamp cooler was out of order and not fixed the first two nights I was there and it was too hot to sleep until late at night. Bed was comfortable. Room was reasonably clean except the bathroom sink looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month or two. Kitchen was reasonably clean unless you don't like crumbs in the microwave, etc. Gordon is a coffee drinker but also has caffeinated tea. Only two types of non-caffeinated tea so bring your own if you want that.

    Marsha2013-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect night in Gordon's home. His home feels like a curated museum of Navajo and native culture and Judaica. I wish I had more time to talk to him about his work. The room was a perfect little space for a one night stop. I also enjoyed the library in the room.

    Joellen2018-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon's home is convneniently located and the room was as advertised. He was kind and made up the trundle bed for my partner not knowing whether or not he was coming with me.

    Kassandra2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon is a great host, he really put himself out to accomodate my vague and changing schedule. He is a native of New Mexico and knows the state really well, so he is a mine of information about places to see and scenic routes through the "high lonesome country". The room is a bit unconventional as it doubles as Gordon's office (but he doesn't use it when he has a guest staying!). The location is ideal, on a quiet street just off Central Avenue (Route 66), close to downtown and the university.

    Chris2012-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gordon is a super friendly host and is very much concerned with making sure all your needs are met while you stay at his place. He is quick to answer your questions and have great suggestions about places to visit, restaurants, etc... his place is within walking distance (10 to 15 min) from downtown, very well located. It is my pleasure to recommend Gordon's place too all travelers in the ABQ area!

    Jean-Marc2019-06-18T00:00:00Z

88/100 Walkscore! This apartment is located downtown and is within walking distance of coffee shops, dining, bars, nightlife, convenience stores, a laundromat, etc. There is also a bicycle rental station located just down the block. Catch a show at Albuquerque’s historic El Rey Theater, only two blocks to the east! Old Town is just a short drive away! There is quick freeway access to easily get around the city. On Saturdays (May-November) the park across the street comes to life. The Downtown Grower's Market is a local gem filled with fresh fruits/vegetables, tasty treats, and local artisan crafts. Just as with the downtown area of most major cities, Albuquerque's Downtown has a large population of eccentric, transient, and homeless people. This is something for you to be aware of but not alarmed by. I live in this neighborhood and feel comfortable walking alone or with my young children, though I do pay careful attention to my surroundings just as I would anywhere.

This was a model home for a developer of Albuquerque Contemporary Living. Every detail was thought out to give the experience of living in the city the maximum amount of pleasure. The kitchen is wide and open to the living space so no one misses out on the conversation. The bathroom is bright with natural light and has plenty of counter and storage space. A unique spa like design and feel. The location is ideal to take advantage of walking to the fun of Downtown or Old Town, yet the advantage of sleeping in a residential neighborhood.
Reynolds Neighborhood is one of the oldest in the City of Albuquerque. It has enjoyed a renaissance of building activity with young city dwellers finding it to be their place to call home.

Tortuga's Art House is near Albuquerque's art district and is right next door to Tortuga Gallery. While the gallery does not have regular hours, it is open during events and by request. This cozy house is convenient to downtown, the Hispanic Cultural Center, South Broadway Cultural Center, UNM and CNM. The backyard features a pond, herb garden and shady path.
This one bedroom house is in the South Broadway neighborhood, one of Albuquerque's oldest areas. It has rustic charm and may be a little rough around the edges. The art gallery next door hosts monthly events including poetry open mic and game night. There are often concerts, poetry readings and art events. Guests are welcome to attend events that coincide with their stay. Feel free to request a viewing if there are no open times. The neighborhood began when the railroad came through Albuquerque in the 1880's. It is a multi- generational neighborhood with a diverse population. The building that houses Tortuga Art Gallery, was built in 1886 and was a General Store. It is now an art gallery and community space and a vibrant part of the neighborhood. In 2018, it was part of Albuquerque's Mural Fest and received a beautiful mural depicting the bosque of the Rio Grande.
  • Near downtown Albuquerque this is a value, comfortable space that goes for far less than nearby hotels.

    Chuck2019-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Tortuga House was a great stay over as we were moving through NM. Giant and super comfortable bed which was nice after an exhausting day of traveling.

    Tara2019-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Logan and Pax were great hosts, and Tortuga's art house was perfectly spacious enough to relax in after a long drive and a few small airbnb's. The back patio is great as well, but we were unfortunately too early to fully reap the benefits of the apricot tree. Next time for sure!

    Jason2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • e recently spent one month in Logan's and Pax's Tortuga Art House. The high point of our stay was meeting Logan and Pax who were very generous, attentive, creative and interesting hosts and we wish we could have spent more time visiting with them. As far as Tortuga Art House itself it is a charming and eclectic decorated house, but it is a work in progress with great potential, and as their first month-long guests we did leave some suggestions about things people may enjoy having and believe they will act on many of those suggestions. Pros: Large bathroom; comfortable bed; good size kitchen and cozy living area. There is a wonderful sculpted garden/yard to enjoy in the back; the gallery is a wonderful space and we were generously invited to the events; we also had good parking right in front of the house; 5-star hosts. Things to note (not pros or cons): Air conditioning is a Swamp cooler so may not be as effective when it's very hot; TV is not cable or satellite just Netflix, Hulu, Amazon etc... but no local or national stations; the neighborhood is very mixed, if you travel a lot it may not be an issue; guests are requested to leave the place clean and tidy, but aren't required to do the laundry meaning if guests before you leave it very clean you'll be happy but if they don't you may have a bit of cleaning to do as we did. The washer works great but the dryer is not vented to the outside, so you may want to hang your clothes on the clothes line outside so as not to have lint and heat blowing into the house. Cons: Poor lighting in the bedroom; due to age of the house and yard you may have some bug issues - Pax did some work on this during our stay but it did persist; the little courtyard entry was a bit disheveled (as it was Pax's next project it should be great for future guests); refrigerator was a problem but it is being replaced; back door could use a screen as to allow for better cross ventilation. As mentioned, we left a list of things for consideration to add and fix and when done this will be a very comfortable place to stay.

  • The Tortuga Art House was a wonderful place to stay in ABQ. I was very impressed with the house’s privacy. It is a quiet, clean and spacious space with a great coffee shop and art gallery next door. Close to downtown in a great neighborhood. The owners were very responsive to any problem and were creative in solving any issue I had. Thanks for the awesome stay!

    Dillon2019-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is the cutest home, cozy and comfortable without being cramped. Staying next to the gallery makes it extra special and cool, and we were lucky enough to be there a weekend it was open for a show. It's an awesome location, just 2 FWY exits from the airport but still very much in the city. 15 minute walks from Nob Hill, Downtown, and the National Hispanic Cultural Center. 15 minute drive to Petroglyph hikes, 5 minute drive to University of New Mexico, and an easy day trip to Santa Fe. We were talking about just moving into our AirBnb the whole time we liked it so much!

    Kate2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I loved our stay here! The owners were so kind and welcoming upon meeting us, and they gave great suggestions on where to go while in Albuquerque. The home itself was nice and cozy, and it felt like home! The location is close to downtown, great places to eat, and cool places to shop. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Albuquerque!

I lived in this neighborhood for about a year and a half. What I love most about this area is it's close proximity to restaurants and local breweries in the downtown area. At the same time I love how peaceful it is and how many friendly people you see out walking at various times in the day.
  • Beautiful apartment and so well decorated. The host was great and very responsive. The instructions were clear and very helpful. My favorite part of the apartment was the bed and the backyard. Very cute place to stay!

  • Loved this place. Great location. Jason and Mandy were awesome. And the little book thing to write in was super cool.

    Guisseppi2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jason and Mandy's place was the perfect place for our stay! Their unit is close to everything we wanted to do. It was clean, easy to access, and they even have Netflix! Jason and Mandy were also very quick to respond to our questions and an overall delight to interact with. Thank you both!

  • We had a great stay at Jason and Mandy’s Place in Albuquerque! Everything was just as promised, great space, nicely decorated, clean and well stocked! Location was convenient to airport and attractions. Easy in and out with no trouble parking.

    Amy2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • What an adorable and stylish place! We didn’t get to spend much time in the space but look forward to returning. It was immaculately clean with many thoughtful and artistic touches. There is an impressive guide book with pictures to make it a breeze to be acquainted with the ins and outs of the apartment. Great recommendations for the area also. Very affordable also.

    Melody2018-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • As I declared to Mandy and Jason, I was absolutely smitten by the place and with the city. My final destination was/is San Diego, and it is a lovely place...but all I can think about is the energy, beauty and character of Albuquerque - which I think in many ways was emblematized by this property. Not to mention all the rental space details and amenities that made this already beautiful space downright luxurious in a very casual and easy way.

  • Lacy’s house is a unique and modern sanctuary with a location that is central to local attractions and to the airport. My husband and I had a wonderful rest there before reluctantly departing the beautiful Southwest. Spotless, great kitchen, lots of well-designed space, and comfortable. No doubt that if we are fortunate enough to return, we will pick Lacy’s place again.

    Su2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this home was great! Very clean and love the decor. Lacy was very quick to respond when we had a question regarding the home. Stayed here twice and our experience was great both nights. Would love to stay here again if ever in Albuquerque again.

The casita is literally blocks away from the Rio Grande River and the Bosque. The University of New Mexico campus, the UNM Lobos Football Stadium, UNM Pit, the Isotopes Baseball Stadium, Old Town, Downtown Albuquerque are all within a few mile from the casita. The Albuquerque Zoo, Botanical Garden, Art Museum and Hispanic Cultural center are also close by and accessible by bike trail from the casita. It is close to just about every major attraction in Albuquerque.
We call our home Casa Namaste, which translates from Sanskrit to “I honor the place in you of love, light, truth, and peace, that reflects that place in me.” We designed our home and it’s grounds to be an oasis, a retreat where our guests can feel a sense of sanctuary from the world, and commune with nature. We invite guests to enjoy the privacy of a walled, gated compound, complete with bamboo groves, flower beds, an orchard, fountains, and a waterfall.
Casa Namaste is a traditional adobe Southwest style home located in an older, south valley neighborhood. Most families in the area have lived here for at least a few generations, coming originally from Mexico. As newcomers to the area, we enjoy the quiet almost rural feel, while at the same time being in close proximity to downtown, Old Town, and Nob Hill... all fun places to hangout, and find good eats...We also love that in the valley we have a green oasis in the desert with lots of giant cottonwood trees, and many varieties of fruit trees. Being only three blocks from the Rio Grande River is also a plus, as we enjoy biking and walking and running and checking out the wild life...All in all we feel our neighborhood offers an eclectic diversity, coupled with a closeness to nature and easy access to the amenities of Albuquerque.
  • Wonderful casita with everything you need! Beautifully decorated inside and gorgeous outdoor landscape and inviting patio. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to I-40 and I-25 so that you are able to get around Albuquerque quickly. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy! I highly recommend this place and will return the next time I’m in Albuquerque!

  • The location is amazing, both Wayland and Elizabeth are great, and the casita is lovely. I highly recommend staying here if your visiting.

    Emily2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The casita was an absolute oasis. Both the garden and the casita were beautiful. Very quiet and we felt super safe. The location was great with easy access to downtown and old town locations! The restaurant nearby el Paisa is one of our favorites. It was also so wonderful to have a full kitchen if we wanted to stay in to eat. I wish we could have stayed longer! I would highly suggest staying with Elizabeth and Wayland if you are in albuquerque!

    Margaret2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at La Casita for 10 days with my daughter! Everything was as expected, even better. I was a little worried about cockroaches and insects but I didn't see any inside the house! We had everything we could need for a long stay. Wayland and Elizabeth were helpful in everything I asked them. La Casita is cozy, comfortable and quiet . We also enjoyed the yard, specially for breakfast in the morning. The only thing is that wifi didn't worked at all inside the house, but they told me they were going to fix it. If I return to Albuquerque, this is my choice for sure!

    Ariadna2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were only in town for one day and had a wonderful dinner and night out with the help of Elizabeath and Waylon. The place had all the amenities that you could ever need. My girlfriend and I would definitely stay again, but next time longer. Jonathan & Mia

Ruthie's Place is a charming, well lit casita in a perfectly walkable neighborhood. The space features natural brick, meticulous design, and amenities to make your stay very comfortable. Staying in East Downtown (EDO) means surrounding yourself with the best dining Albuquerque has to offer, easy walkability, and simple access to Downtown, the University of New Mexico (UNM), Old Town, and Nob Hill. Whether you're in Albuquerque for work or pleasure, you'll find yourself comfortable here.
A little about the house: Ruthie's House is a 100+ year old casita (literally translated to "Tiny House"), and was a tiny house before the Tiny House movement was cool! For more than five years, the space has welcomed 400+ guests from 20+ countries, under a prior name (Casa Yucca), and remains in operation today with a breath of new life. What's with the name: Ruthie's House is named after my pet pygmy goat. She's a bundle of love, and came from a petting zoo in Roswell (long story there - you can read about it in the welcome folder when you arrive). You'll also see a couple photos of her around. The amount of joy she brings the world inspired this place, and I hope it brings you the joy she brings me. About the kitchen: It is fully equipped for light cooking, but if you're planning to bake, this might not be the best place. There is a countertop convection oven, microwave, electric stovetop, coffee pot, tea kettle, and pots and pans, utensils, an assortment of tea, and a local medium roast blend of coffee. Some of the best restaurants in town are less than a block away, so it is very tempting to not cook when given those dining options. About the bedroom / living room space: There is a 43in flat screen Smart TV, featuring access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBO Now. Those are the ones I have subscriptions to, and are provided free of charge. There are other "channels" on the Roku-powered TV to access local news in your desired areas, and a few other networks like ABC News. If you're into music, there's a vinyl record player with mostly new albums to choose from, paired with a couple classics. If you don't see an album you'd like to listen to (Don't skip Dessa), you can pair your phone or computer to the player via Bluetooth. For working, there's an adequate desk, complete with basic supplies like some paper and pens. The wireless internet is amazing in the unit (I think up to 80 mbps). The bed is a Full/Double, sleeping two, and is described as "medium firm" memory foam with a pillowtop mattress cover and fresh, clean bedding every stay. The couch can sleep one person adequately - length-wise, don't plan on sleeping on it if you're more than 6' tall. Laundry machines and detergent are provided for your use. You'll find the dryer with clean sheets/blankets/towels due to time-saving measures, but you are more than welcome to utilize the machines during your stay. I just ask that you place the clean dryer linens in the laundry basket in the closet :) The bathroom is a 3/4 bath with clean towels, washcloths, hand towels, and all amenities you'd expect. There is a hairdryer under the sink, too. Outside amenities: There's a front and back patio - the front patio has a tiny patio dining set underneath a shade and near a budding wisteria plant. The back patio features one of the most relaxing swings I've ever sat in. A few Albuquerque-specific disclaimers: - This house is located in a very walkable area across from a school, and down the street from several local restaurants and shops. It's also down the street from a food pantry. I would call this one of the best locations in Albuquerque, and the foot traffic is as diverse as you could expect in any city. - on-street parking is generally plentiful. Occasionally, film crews shoot some footage of one of the shows Albuquerque creates, like "Better Call Saul," right next to or in front of the casita. In these rare instances, you may need to park a block away and walk, but generally, that's not the case. - As in any city, don't leave valuables in your car. - While I do my absolute best to ensure there are no bugs in the space, you still may see the occasional one. I regularly schedule pest control, but bugs, unfortunately, are part of the desert city life. That being said, we rigorously clean between every stay, and ask for your understanding if you do see the occasional bug. - There's been tons of thought, planning, and neuroticism to ensure your stay will be as pleasant as possible. If you need anything at all during your stay, you are more than welcome to contact me.
East Downtown is situated between Downtown and the University of New Mexico area. This neighborhood has some amazing restaurants like: Farina (amazing pizza), Artichoke Cafe (High End Dining), G's Lunch Spot (casual, but still very good), Standard Diner (hearty meals for good prices), and the list continues east and west. The Apothecary Lounge is one of the most gorgeous bars in Albuquerque, featuring sweeping views of the mountains and the downtown cityscape - it's especially epic at sunset. The neighborhood is also considered "Historic Huning Highlands," featuring some of the most gorgeous residences in Albuquerque.

The Casita is an early 1900's adobe structure that is located in the heart of downtown Albuquerque. The guesthouse and main house were completely rebuilt and renovated in early 2018. Off street parking is available at the Casita and the adobe construction provides a very quiet environment. There is a firepit and propane grill available at the main house for guests upon request. Full kitchen. There are always plenty of activities close by with this downtown location.

Comfortable and bright one bedroom townhouse with two sleeping areas, awesome backyard with deck and ping pong table, ample parking, private garage, and interesting collection of art, in the heart of Downtown Albuquerque. Private backyard with trees, pingpong table and ample seating . Two cable TVs and internet. Fully stocked kitchen with all the tools to cook and entertain. Bluetooth speaker, two full baths. PRIVATE GARAGE
This little spot is a few blocks from Central Avenue restaurants and nightlife, close to the river, zoo, airport and highway. High fences make the green backyard very private. I am an art collector, and have stuffed the place with art. The sleeper sofa downstairs is very comfortable an easy to set up, with all bedding inside.
This is the urban core. I am a block from two courthouses, and two blocks to the fabulously hip coffee shop Zendo and the brewery Sidetrack. One block to family restaurant La Mexicana. ten minutes to the airport, four minutes to I-25 and I-40.
  • Quiet but walking distance from downtown. Lovely very open space. Love the little modern touches.

    Lucrece2018-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place. The location was perfect for what I had planned. I will book this place again!!!

  • An absolutely amazing place to stay, close to many interesting spots, (restaurants, breweries, coffee shops) The town home was spotless, has all amenities you could need, and has its own style, which is great, it has its own character. I cannot recommend this place enough. John, the host, was quick to responses. I didn’t need much from him, because I had absolutely no problems. 10/10 would come back to this location.

  • If you want an immaculate place close to all the amenities of downtown (breweries, restaurants, concert venues), that is within walking distance of it all, John’s place is it. John was an excellent host and was very communicative throughout. All the art in the home is also a plus!

  • This place is so cute and colorful. It’s a great place to stay if you need to recharge. We were traveling cross country and needed a place to sleep for the night. We also have a dog 🐕 and staying here was comfortable for him. I am so glad we found a place that was pet friendly. Zachary was also very hospitable and easy to communicate with. He made sure that we were comfortable and checked in with us to make sure we had a good night’s rest. Also, it’s in a cute and safe neighborhood.

    Joy2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Zack’s place was amazing. We were super surprised by the inside, it’s super cozy and comfortable. So many little/big trinkets everywhere. I love the style. It was also great that we got to bring our pup. Super good host, we loved staying here.

Just off Route 66, Barelas Railyard, close to art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, shopping and airport. You’ll love my place, fun & sunny with a modern twist rustic adobe casita in the heart of the SW. Couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. We prefer guests with previous reviews, sometimes we allow it with additional verification. Decorated with authentic work from fine artists of New Mexico & around the country, including sketches by Frank McCulloch, Alice Garver and others.
Cozy & private adobe features converted attic, sleeping loft, (low ceiling) with pressed red-wood steps, newly upgraded, for comfort and ease of access. Pull your car up in between the fence along the casita, along the wooden fence for off-street parking.
Welcome to the historic Barelas neighborhood. My favorite authentic mexican food nearby at EL Modelo, 1715 2nd St SW, Albuquerque NM 87102 Green chile cheese enchiladas. (huge portion - take out only) El Paisa, Tacos Pastor & Gorditas Desebrada en rojo, 820 Bridge Blvd SW (Tacos Pastor still $1.25 each) Kathy's 823 Isleta Blvd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105, Stuffed sopapillas and Adovada breakfast Enchilada basket red chili (carne adovada filled) (my personal favorite $6)
  • Antons casita was perfect for a weekend get away in Albuquerque, he is close to Central and some amazing hole in the wall restaurants. He was prompt at returning calls, and met me with the keys as soon as I arrived. I would recommend this casita, and would stay again.

    Anna2016-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at Anoton's casita. The place was well decorated. Since it is walking distance from the zoo, I enjoyed walking to the zoo and back on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Anton is a very accommodating and attentive host. I highly recommend his place to others looking for a private place to stay in ABQ.

    Alexandra2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • the casita is in a great spot! there are so many good restaurants, breweries, and fun things to do within a ten minute drive. it’s adorable inside and fully equipped with everything we needed. the ac works really well and i love how it’s decorated. i would totally stay here again :) however if you’re a very tall person or have trouble going up/down stairs i wouldn’t recommend it😅

    Kaitlyn2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This casita is best described as a charming getaway, at a good price and located in an interesting quiet residential area of Albuquerque. Anton is in the film business and is a fun person to talk to. He knows the area quite well. The house is suitable for single persons, couples and possible also a third person, but the bathroom is quite small so that might get cramped for multiple days. The bed is in the attic, unsuitable for people with mobility issues. I’m 6’6’ and had a bit of an issue not bumping my head, but overall I managed. The kitchen is well equipped and clean, the bathroom could use a touch-up. I recommend this for a two-day visit to ABQ, and it’s certainly a much more interesting alternative to a dull Hyatt. Enjoy!

    Alexander2019-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place. I really don't understand some of the other reviews. Highly recommended!

    Stuart2018-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Anton's place was the perfect stay. I took a class in Albuquerque and stayed at his casita for two weeks. It is comfortable, quiet and close to downtown shops and restaurants. I went to zendo, a cute coffee shop nearby multiple mornings. He is clear, communicative and responsive. He supplied me with everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again. It feels like my Albuquerque home!

    Emily2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cassita is a lovely place for 2 or a small family. It's cosy, very warm and Anton makes it very comfortable by providing basic needs. It has a Netflix account to enjoy multiple movies. The kitchen also makes it very much like a home. For its price it's definately the best in downtown Albuquerque. I'll definately be back anytime I'm in town. Wonderful place!!

    Farid2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great little space to stay in! Very accurately described. It was easy to communicate with Anton, and everything I needed was available. I highly recommend this place.

This gorgeous loft makes for the ultimate urban stay in the city. With a 92/100 walkscore, you can quickly explore the downtown area. Old Town is just a few minutes by car and there is quick freeway access. You will enter the loft from the secure, gated parking area and walk upstairs to the living area which boasts a wall of windows overlooking downtown and the Sandia mountains. We have put a lot of thought into this space, from the eclectic decor to the fully stocked kitchen!

On Sunday's (May-October) the nearby railyard comes to life. The Railyards Market is a local gem filled with local artisan crafts, fresh fruits/vegetables, and tasty treats. Just as with the downtown area of most major cities, Albuquerque's Downtown has a large population of eccentric, transient, and homeless people. This is something for you to be aware of but not alarmed by. I have lived in this neighborhood and feel comfortable walking, though I do pay careful attention to my surroundings just as I would anywhere. The condo is located around the corner from a shelter but our property is securely fenced and gated ensuring there is never an issue. • I walked to my convention each morning at the Hyatt while my boyfriend worked from the desk overlooking the city and Sandia mountains. It was just what we both needed. You're close to Central street downtown where things are really hopping. Easy access to highway, and everything you may need (including a washer and dryer) in the unit. It easily felt like home.

    Lorraine2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Third stay at one of Lacy's places and as expected it didn't disappoint. Clean and beautiful loft feel with high ceilings and open floor plan. Would stay again! Can't wait to explore another of Lacy's properties.

  • We really enjoyed staying at Lacy's loft. It's a nice space and very comfortable. Walking distance to all the things we wanted to do in the 1 day we were in ABQ. The loft is just as the photos show. Kitchen was well equipped and this would be a nice place to stay for longer time.

    Jason2018-11-17T00:00:00Z
