Right by public transit, across from HQ of Uber, Square etc. Minutes walk to the chic and vibrant Hayes Valley with a plethora of restaurant and coffee shop options. The location is unbeatable. All major amenities are included as part of the unit (see pics). The apartment unit number was just updated from 1212 to 301, and updated photos have been added.
The apartment unit is a brand-new, furnished 2BR/2Bath. The room is quite spacious and well-lit and can accommodate two single beds. You will be sharing bathroom with me. There is also in-room laundry unit and kitchen that is quite modern, both shared. The 2nd floor of the building complex has 24/7 gym, outdoor fireplace and patio, and private working rooms, TV/game room and social lounge. Amenities in the building is superb. The building is pet friendly and has an in-building dog park and dog wash facility. Please read House Manual carefully especially regarding Quiet Hours before booking. The key will be needed to both unlock the door to the apartment unit as well as locking the door when you leave, as well as needed to access the gym and lounge. You’ll receive Airbnb email instructions on how to pick up the key from a lockbox in the building adjacent to the apartment complex. You’ll be able to pick up the key with your mobile phone or email. Note that key pick up is generally only available before 9pm. IMPORTANT: In order to facilitate key pick up from the lockbox, I’ll need to set you up with it before you check in. So please—in advance—Airbnb message me your mobile phone number (including country code) or personal email I can set it up. You’ll be using either mobile number or email to pick up the key at the lockbox.
Literally everything.
  • Aaron is a great host. I was lucky to find an excellent place to stay at his apartment for my first week moving to the US here. He helped me with advice on where to go and how to settle in the city. The location is also perfect being it is near to many tourists places and my office, which is just a few blocks away on Market Street.

    Brian2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron was great! Very good communicator and fast responses. Only downside was having to go through the master to get to the bathroom, but he did have a room separator. He’s very quite and respectful!

    Lillian2019-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot and in a central location and offers easy convenient access to shops, bars and restaurants on market street and mission street. Great value as well with amenities provided

    Dennis2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron was a great host and went out of his way to help me out! Nice and clean and didn’t have any space issues, easy key pick up and great location

    Dina2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The location of Aaron’s apartment is excellent and allowed me to be within walkable distance from the Moscone centre where my conference was taking place. However, I was a bit disappointed with the place, as it is not a real room but a living room modified. There is no privacy as there are no real doors. The place was not well ventilated. The fridge was very dirty and had no real place to accommodate any further food. Being a host myself, I take special care in these details. Apart from not location, the apartment is overrated in terms of price.

    Maria Cecilia2019-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sharing flat with host, on put up beds with dirty linen. That isn't luxury

    Paul2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fast communication, great location, clean area. Very thin walls inside apartment so need to be mindful of noises, but that is stated up front clearly. Would recommend!

    Alex2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron was very kind and answered any questions we had. Amenities are great, and most tourist attractions are just a short lyft/uber away. Can't wait to visit San Francisco again!

Our studio includes parking for a compact, midsize, or entry-level luxury car. Absolutely no smoking is permitted in our studio. We also appreciate if guests avoid using strong perfumes/colognes while staying at our studio. This modern studio is located in one of SF's newer buildings. It has light brown floors, brand new furniture, and includes wifi and a 39 inch flat screen TV which streams Roku, Amazon Prime, Netflix and over 60 local channels. In addition to the everyday essentials expected in a modern home (heating, oven, fridge, etc), a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, iron, blow dryer and a washer/dryer are included for your convenience. Our unit is extremely quiet; excellent for getting a good night's rest on a cozy queen size bed. The building's common areas are monitored around the clock for your security. The entrance to Highway 101 - southbound (to the Peninsula) and northbound (to the East Bay) - is 4 minutes away. In the event 3 guests want to sleep on separate beds, you can use the daybed sofa which is around the same size as a single bed.
The building is located in the Civic Center area, in the middle of town, and is equal distance to all of the nightlife options and places of interest. Discover the city with close access to the water and the iconic Mission District.
  • I enjoyed my time staying here, and everything was great. There were all the amenities that I needed, the location is perfect, and Carlos and Graciela were very friendly and helpful. I definitely would like to stay here again.

    Igor2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place. Carlos was a phenomenal host.

    Jaime Joel2019-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful place in great location and the hosts were incredible

    Alisondra2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • If I had to choose between great hosts and great apartment, I would choose the first. But imagine if you would not have to make compromise and you could have both hosts and a wonderful place to live. Actually, there is no need to imagine this scenario: simply contact Graciela and Carlos. I can only reinforce what is already written in previous reviews: Graciela and Carlos are a wonderful couple who will do everything in their power to make your stay as comfortable as possible in their studio(s). As a matter of fact, my impression is that they will gladly run the extra mile in order to help. The apartment is one of the best ones I have ever lived in (and I have lived in many apartments and houses throughout 10 countries of Europe and Asia). I know where I will want to stay next time I come to San Francisco. To wrap it up, I can wholeheartedly recommend any of their apartments (even though I lived in only one). By having great and caring hosts like Graciela and Carlos, the only thing you need to "worry about" is to enjoy your stay in this wonderful city.

    Ivan2018-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was great staying at your studio for ~3 weeks. It's a great location, close to everything, but still quiet and comfortable indoors.

    M M Tauqir2017-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful hosts, great apartment. Best thing about it is that Carlos and Graciela were very available if I needed anything and very helpful at check-in. The best Air bnb experience I've had so far!

  • We’d never been to San Francisco, and this was a great place to be. Hayes Valley is a great neighborhood - probably would have been our favorite even if we weren’t staying there. Room was smallish but very nice and very clean. Common space was good sized and stylish. We arrived a little bit early, and even though we were communicating by text, we were able to check in early within a few minutes. Communication was excellent from the jump. Our room faced the street, and with no A/C the only way to get air was to open the windows. I was actually expecting it to be louder than it was, but there are definitely city noises (sirens, loud cars, etc.) that will wake a light sleeper occasionally. Overall, a really nice experience.

    Blake2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • great place, we greatly enjoyed our stay and we’d come back again any time. the luggage storage is handy when it comes to early check in and later check out. cool neighborhood.

    Sebastian2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Could not speak more highly of Sonder and staff. My one pain point (lack of coffee) was addressed THE VERY SAME DAY when staff installed state of the art coffee machine just hours later. Beyond thoughtful and highly appreciated by me and fellow guests. The area was also an unexpected bonus! Lots of great food and shopping. I would definitely return to this location :)

My classic Victorian house is perfectly located in SoMa! A central neighborhood where the MOSCONE center, Downtown, Civic Center BART, Breweries, Coffee Roasters, Nightclubs & delicious Restaurants are all just 5 - 15mins walking distance, making it the perfect place for either buisness or adventure travelers! The house was recently remodeled and it has plenty of natural light. This is a calm and quiet place, where you can enjoy my daily aromatherapy which is great for rest and relaxation.
YOUR ROOM: • This beautiful room, has a Queen-size bed, soft cotton bedsheets, a desk, a comfortable reading chair, a closet with hangers and a small dresser, carpet, a heater, a full body mirror behind the door and a Homedics sounds canceling machine. It has been carefully decorated to offer you a space for you to relax and enjoy the sun thanks to its classic bay window, with plenty of natural light throughout the day. • If you are arriving before 3PM, No problem, you may use the garage to drop your belongings until anytime after 3PM check-in. And if you want to leave your luggage after 10AM check-out, feel also free to leave it in the garage for as long as you need as well :) • SELF CHECK-IN after 3pm is absolutely available. You don't need to wait for me to get inside the house. ** Go to Airbnb WEBSITE to find the DOORS CODES. You can also find them on the app under check-in instructions closer to your arrival day (no cell data needed).** Please make yourself comfortable and at home. Ill happily give you a house tour if you want once I see you. • Once you are inside the house, look for the door that has your name on it :) • If you are a light sleeper, I recommend you to bring ear-plugs. The house is old so the insulation isn't the best. • Also, even though the house was recently remodeled, there are a few original parts that were kept, such as the door knobs. This means that the doors only lock from the inside. And even though there will be 3 other guests staying at the house, they will all be highly verified and evaluated by AirBnB registration policies. I have never had any issues with security. • There are 2 WiFi ports so you will have access throughout the house!
    • SoMa's multifaceted character brings together all sorts of people. Tech-savvy entrepreneurs rub elbows with well-read bohemian types, and museum curators share the sidewalks with ill-groomed individuals. • Most of the action can be found at: MOSCONE CENTER, SF MOMA and Yerba Buena gardens, Giants ballpark. SoMa, as it's known, sounds a little like a SoHo wannabe, and it does have a strong downtown vibe. Restaurants, Hip bars, clubs, and specialty coffee cafes are all around. • There is something I will like to bring up before any surprises. San Francisco is sadly recognized by the large amount of homeless on the streets. And even though 95% of them are harmless it is important to consider and acknowledge that this is a major problem all over the city. If you want to get more information regarding this issue there's a lot material on the Internet that you can read about. And if I can give you an advice about this matter, it would be to avoid the tenderloin, 5th, 6th and market streets on late hours (even thought during the 4 years I've been living in the city nothing bad has ever happened to me BUT, it's good to let you know so you don't feel insecure while walking around). The only thing I can promise you is that I'll try my best to keep the house clean and quiet so you can relax, rest and enjoy it.
  • Maria is a great host and keeps her place in perfect condition

    Ellen2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice Victorian house. Friendly host. No complaints. Would stay again

    Colin2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect experience, the room is so cute and clean, and Maria is super nice!

    Aileen2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Maria is so welcoming and well-organized. Her home is cozy and clean and everything is labeled and easy to understand. I felt safe and taken care of. I had flown from Asia so arriving and having people to chat and have beer with was invaluable. Maria did me lots of little favors throughout my stay which I am so grateful for! The only minor annoyance was having to share a bathroom

    Jessica2018-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, the room, the house and all the spaces were perfect. Maria done a great job and I really like the decoration and the -good vibe- of the place.

    Daniel2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I was visiting San Francisco for the first time in about 15 years for work. I came in a day early and stayed with Maria before my work obligations behave so I could goof off and adjust to west coast time. What a treat it was staying at her place! Communication was clear and easy; Maria is a gracious host and her apartment is lovely. She has a super cute dog, too, which made my stay feel like home. The price and the location can’t be beat, and I felt at ease the whole stay. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer!

    Erin2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Maria’s place is an awesome spot. Very accessible, and the check-in system she has is zero friction. Her place is well appointed and super clean. The bed was comfortable and the street is really quiet. The food provided was super high quality and everything is well labeled and clear. She also is really fast to respond to all communications. Strong recommend.

  • Great space and really central in the city!

    David2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Expect to pay extra charge to the hotel about 150 $ in addition to what you would pay to Airbnb. This is my fist time booking a hotel with Airbnb . I should have done more research. the location is great and was easy to explore the city with out hassles. Also, expect to pay for parking and spend anoth (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) if you are renting a car. I am wondering if I could have traveled cheaper if I rented a condo/home with a free parking place and no additional charges from the hotel.

    Rekha2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Your basic standard hotel, The receptionist when I checked in was not very nice or welcoming, the location is also very sketchy and it can be dangerous at night.

    Luis2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Heat did not work the first night, the hotel smells a bit too strongly of cleaning product.

  • Excellent location, excellent amenities, pictures as described, very clean, and amazing host! Very communicative, kind, and hospitable. Aaron's place exceeded my expectations. The place itself was very clean and the layout was great. Super close to restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, etc. Unbeatable location. Aaron's also very communicative and thought of everything. One of the best AirBnB stays, I definitely look forward to coming back here next time I'm in SF!

  • Great place to stay if you are planning to stay out pretty much all day looking around San Francisco. Hotel Parking was a bit tricky but Spot Hero is probably better option. Besides that, our stay was pleasant and the front desk receptionist and the Airbnb customer service personnel for the hotel were very nice. I recommend.

    Helen2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice hotel, front desk staff and bell staff were very helpful and accomadating. The doible room was nice, though the bathroom was very small. I would definitely stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

  • The location of the hotel is good, however it is an old hotel that needs urgent renovation.

Nicely decorated apartment available for a multi-month arrangement (minimum 30 days). 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom, in-unit W/D. Excellent location. Walking distance to public transit, restaurants, and freeway.
The location is probably one of the best assets. It's also a very quiet building, even though it's located on a busy street. Tucked in a corner on the 10th-floor blocks some of the street /traffic noises. A great supermarket and pharmacy are located a short walk away.
Walking distance to the Mission District, the Castro, Hayes Valley, and even downtown. Also, a couple of blocks away are the Davies Symphony Hall and The War Memorial Opera House.

  • Excellent stay!

    Jinnifer2019-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Maari was a gracious host, she had me informed on everything including taxi fares and the code to enter her house days before I arrived. She has an impeccably clean place (there was not a single layer of dust anywhere) and an incredibly friendly cat. All the paintings give the place a unique feel and I enjoyed every bit of my stay there. I had a private bathroom and sink to myself which was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well on both days

    Yamini2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Mari was such a wonderful host. The space was perfect and the location was so close to public transportation. There was a cute breakfast/lunch place, Vive La Tarte, across the street that was so delicious. I definitely recommend staying at Mari's place!

    Samantha2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Mari's place is in a great location, very close to public transit. The room has a lot of interesting decorations. Mari was very welcoming, and her cat, though shy, was friendly as well. Everything was nice and clean.

    Katie2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Mari is such a great host! She really makes sure you are comfortable and enjoying your stay not just at her home, but in the city as well. Would 10/10 recommend!

    Bryce2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • charming, cozy and comfortable! Mari is very sweet and kind, you'll definitely feel welcome and at home or at least I did.

    Kerim2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • You will get a wonderful, stylishly decorated room with a comfortable bed, closet space, two drawers and a working table and some other little things. The bathroom with a heated floor was a delight as was the very stylish wash basin space. There was more drinking water in the room than I've had in all my Airbnb stays combined! Mari's cat is absolutely adorable and her instructions at the time of check-in are very clear and extremely useful. Her communications are prompt and considerate. As you can guess, I had a great time at her place.

You’ll love my place because of the location, the recent remodel and many more upgrades. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Our hotel consists a mix of rooms with Private Baths and Shared baths. It is what you would consider a European style hotel. We do not have air conditioning or parking. We do however provide a small fan in the room. Also, there is a parking garage at Soma Grand one block down or at Market Square Garage underneath the (Hidden by Airbnb) Building next to us. Both are over night parking and charge roughly $25 per night with no ins and outs.
Just a heads up, we are right in the middle of Civic Center so it does get noisy but if you don't have an issue with that you will be just fine.
  • Its a good place to stay if you dont worry too much about having your own shower. Its easy and fast to get checked in at anytime and there is always someone available for help.

    Diego2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay for a great price on market street.

    Cameron2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • I'd honestly strongly suggest this place if you want to be close to public transit. It's not in a good area, not dangerous but unpleasant to walk outside and see homeless and drug addicts waiting to ask for change. Room was ok, got fresh linen. If you do want heating, they had the building's off so I got a mini portable heater and another blanket, strange but it's ok. The family that owns the building live there and are always accessible, they were helpful. You're in front of a liquor store which is why so many beggars are near, to get alcohol with the change they receive. I got to the hotel early and was allowed to check in because my room was ready, it was great to not have to worry about killing 3 hours until 3pm. I appreciated that. So if you're a brace one who isn't afraid of a little challenge I suggest this place; just bring shower shoes, hand sanitizer, a tough face and strut to walk past the beggars and enjoy being by the civic center metro station.

    Jennifer2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Seems like a repurposed building. Other than shared bathrooms and showers, which are very clean, excellent stay. Staff is great, very affordable place, location is amazing.

    Ariel2017-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Decent spot for the price. Friendly staff. Not my fave bathroom in airbnb history but the room was good.

  • Ram'S Hotel is definitely close to all the action. You're just a bus ride away from SF MoMA and great food spots are within walking distance of the Hotel. If you're planning to be out and about in the city, Ram'S is never too far to return to.

This listing is for 30 day booking or longer. Contact me if you want 3 to 6 months, I could try to accommodate.
Centrally located apt,10min walk to downtown, 12min walk to Union Square, Bart/Muni Metro (subway, underground railway) is just 8min walk away. 2 bus lines stop at the front gate. Within Little Saigon, lots of great award winning Vietnamese/Asian restaurants/takeouts are just downstairs. Front Bedroom with 2 doors and no windows, hence well ventilated but no light and no noise are let in if both doors are closed, ideal for sleeping in. you will be provided with an extra double mattress and comfortable bedding materials. A coin laundry is located just 1/2 min walk away in the same block. Back bedroom has a queen mattress on the floor. Window is soundproof but can't open, it can let in light and you can see the leafy outlook on the street. A lot of parking garages within 1 or 2 blocks away, the closest and might be the cheapest is Cova Hotel, look up their contact number to inquire about the hourly, daily or overnight rates etc.
Right at the center of the city. Walk to downtown and civic center. Right in the middle of little Saigon, the best Vietnamese/Thai/Korean restaurants are just around the corner, the best Chinese and Japanese restaurants are just a short walk away.
  • Perfect apartment. Big enough, clean and stuffed with everything needed. Jerry is a very caring and kind host. Location is central, but you should be prepared for Tenderloin atmosphere. All in all, great choice, totally recommended.

    Michael2014-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot speak highly enough about the apartment and Jerry. Apartment is centrally located to everything in the city. Public transportation is just a few steps away. Tons of awesome restaurants and bars within 2 block radius. So much to do and so easy to access other parts of the city. Apartment was clean and spacious. Everything you need for a short or long stay. Jerry was very accessible and professional. Whenever we needed anything he was immediately responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here.

    Jordan2014-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is lovely and more spacious than advertised, and San Francisco's best Vietnamese restaurants and cocktail bars are all around the corner! Jerry was super accommodating and made sure the entire process was smooth and welcoming!

    Manuel2014-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is exactly as shown on the pictures. The beds are comfortable enough and the couches are comfortable as well. The area, even being full of homeless, is really well located and we never felt in danger. I didn't meet Jerry, but he was really nice. He called us when we arrived to the apartment just to check if our flight was fine, so nice!

    Paola2013-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this place. Let's start first with how great Jerry is. He was super easy to contact and the communication with him was flawless, plus so very nice. The apartment is awesome. It had everything you could need, very clean, and a lot of room to spread out. I found the notes around the apartment to be very helpful and the building was safe and very quite. I am used to the downtown area where the apartment is located, and I actually love this area of town. There are a bit of homeless and less fortunate folks in the area, but I don't find that to be an issue. It is right near all the best food spots. Right out side of the front door of the building is a spot called Saigon Sandwiches, I could not stop eating the banh mi sandwiches. (There is a long line always, so be prepared to wait, very worth it though) The tenderloin nation forest is just a few steps away also...I will be back. Thank you so much.

  • Jerry is the best ! he was very kind and made sure to make it all very easy while i stayed in his apartment ! He apartment is perfect , clean , cozy , with a oriental touch ! At first i thought the mattress was going be uncomfortable because its very low and on the floor but turn out it is just perfect and comfortable , i loved it ! Its very well located , near downtown SF , all good ! I highly recommend Jerry 's place ! Ricardo

    Ricardo2013-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jerry's apartment was highly comfortable, cosy and clean. The beds provided some good sleep, the common rooms could accommodate many people for a little get together and the kitchen was practical. Really, there is nothing negative to state about the apartment. The only downside I would share is the neighborhood... The flat is located in the heart of Tenderloin, a very poor and dirty area. We never felt in danger and the apartment was very safe, put the incredible amount of homeless around the block was a real turn off. But on the other hand, this neighborhood is also called Little Saigon for its important Asian community, which provided good and cheap asian restaurants. Jerry was helpful to point out the best ones! Also, this neighborhood is very central. We could walk to downtown, Russian hills, and even the Mission. Otherwise everything is a tramway away! I would definitely recommend Jerry's place for travelers on a budget who are not disturbed by homelessness, and who want to be in the very center of the city. My two friends and I had a very good time there!

    Catherine2012-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Jerry's house it was really comfortable. The house is like it appears on the pictures, and Jerry was really nice with us. Going around was easy from the house and you have an easy to use public transportation system. If you need an nice accommodation in the center of SF and you don't want to spend too much I definitely advice Jerry's house.

Roof-top with panoramic views and multiple lounge areas available for guests (HoA rules must be respected). (Hidden by Airbnb) Fiber with 500 Mb up and down speed. IKEA desk and chair available in the living room. Host (me) sleeps in the living room on the couch. The bedroom has a California king sized mattress, built-in closet (that can be emptied upon request) remote controllable shades.
Apartment overlooks the courtyard of the building, very quiet and does not get exposed to street noise when windows are closed.
It is a high risk area. Nothing bad ever happened to me personally. Always happy to provide escorts to BART/Uber/Lyft if a guest feels not comfortable to exit/enter the premises on their own.
  • I enjoyed staying with Peter, the apartment was clean and comfortable, it wasn't an issue at all that he sleeps in the living room. The place is quiet and chill in general, very good if you want to work on your laptop a lot during the day.

In downtown Hayes Valley, right at the intersection of Hayes and Octavia, next to Smitten Ice Cream, Blue Bottle Coffee, delicious food and craft cocktails in all directions, lies our spacious modern pad. Perfect central location from which to launch SF explorations, expansive rooftop with view of city hall and Sutro Tower, great new kitchen with gas stove to cook, then nestle into a movie on the couch. Come savor.
Hayes Valley is a chic and hip neighborhood in the center of San Francisco. The main commercial stretch, Hayes Street, teems with upscale boutiques for designer fashions and home decor, plus dessert shops, chill watering holes and a wide array of on-trend restaurants. The close-knit neighborhood features a community garden, a pocket park with art installations, and access to music and theater near the Civic Center. It is the very center of San Francisco.

  • Reid and Ramin's place is basically in the perfect location in San Fran. It's clean, modern, and central to just about everything. They are helpful if you need recommendations, and they were very accommodating. There were a couple of lulls in communication at times, but that's life. This place is a serious no-brainer: I think the location and value are hard to beat. I hope to stay here again in future visits!

  • The Airbnb is a private room with shared shower space, the room was clean but the bathroom could use a bit of work. The Airbnb was updated and the hosts were both really friendly. I misunderstood the description of the Airbnb, so it was a little below my expectations. The location was perfectly located to trendy restaurants and bars, which was a major plus.

  • Our stay here was phenomenal!! We booked this last minute on our trip to San Fran and could not have had a better experience. The space was beautiful clean and stylish and the location was amazing! I would stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone! As long as you’re fine not having a kitchen and being in a smaller space then it’s perfect! There are great restaurants around the area and transit was easy to use to get to everywhere we wanted to go! Check in and check out were easy!! Overall fantastic experience

    Emily2019-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Stylish and welcoming space! Only complaint is the room we got(#6) had little to no air circulation which made for hot/restless sleep this time of year due to high outside temps. Realizing now we could have asked for a different room, but at least now you know you can!

    Charlie And Sarah2019-09-24T00:00:00Z

  • I wouldn’t recommend.

    Leah2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very good location and easy to find, however the listing says free street parking which is not correct as it’s limited to certain times. The room size looked bigger in the photos, however just fit the double bed in with very limited space to move around. The private bathroom however was very nice and more spacious. The room was very expensive for the size, it is at best somewhere to sleep, not recommended if you plan to spend much time in the room. There was a nice shared social area, and very close to tram/trolley station.

That being said, there are also many famous tourist attractions close by such as the cable cars and Ferry Building. There is a great mall nearby called the West Field Shopping Center. Some of our favorite restaurants and bars within walking distance include Brenda's French Soul Food, Borobudur (Indonesian) and Bourbon and Branch (an original speakeasy).
  • Central, close to CBD, spacious, accessible and clean apartment. Rather sparsely furnished but adequate. Rough neighbourhood, and very noisy especially at night. The questions were answered promptly and efficiently.

  • This place is situated in a fantastic spot only minutes from tons of great restaurants and shops and the Van Ness Train stop. You should not plan on getting any cleaning during your stay. They is no fridge or any cooking amenities, though there is a nice room in which you can check e-mail or have a cup of tea. It is a quiet area that is safe which is very nice for a place near market street.

  • Originally had booked a Sonder in New Orleans, but had to change my trip due to a hurricane. Sonder was extremely helpful in moving my reservation to another city with available suites that mat hed my preferences. They were quick to respond to concerns throughout- truly 24/7. Room was cute and had a beautiful bathroom, really close to Hayes street which had a park and great restaurants. Would stay here again!

  • If you're looking for an affordable stay in a good location, this is a good find. Pros: Location is great, and room was clean with some nice amenities like bottled water and USB chargers. Cons: Room is tiny. Is missing some basic amenities like a hook to hang up a wet jacket, or a place to hang anything at all. Room shares a wall with the communal living room, and you can hear folks making tea, going into the fridge, etc. all all times of day & night. Room is also across the hall from the shared bathroom, where sound and smell travel very well into the room.

My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Luz Hotel is located in the neighborhood that borders Tenderloin and Knob Hill. The terms "Tenderloin Heights" and "The Tendernob" refer to the area around the indefinite boundary between the Upper Tenderloin and Lower Nob Hill. You'll be at Geary St that's fine. The Tenderloin is more Ellis, Eddy, Golden Gate and Turk streets. Don't worry about it, and really, Geary all the way in both directions isn't bad
This space is good for single people. We have 3 basic single rooms. They are all priced the same and are all same sizes although decorated differently. So, when you book a basic single room, you can be in one of the 3 rooms featured in this listing. The room has a sink, a hair dryer, a robe and a closet/dresser. All toiletries included and a complementary bottled water. These rooms are with-in steps to the Restrooms and Shower Room.
  • Easy place to come in and out of SF. Really appreciate Ver sending over an item I left behind that means a lot to me. Definitely coming back if I’m back in the Bay.

  • Great location! Very clean, as advertised. Small place, but had everything I need in the room: Bed Towel Soap Tv Sink Hair dryer Communal bathroom and shower made it feel a bit more like a hostel, but both were clean and Since the place is so small, I never really ran into anyone. Great value for the low maintenance traveler

  • Virgilio´s Place is a great option for those travelers seeking to stay near Union Square. The Staff is super friendly and the hotel is located in a safe area very near to the centre of the city. All the facilities worked as expected.

YOUR ROOM: • This beautiful room, has a Queen-size bed, soft cotton bedsheets, a desk, a comfortable reading chair a closet with hangers and a small dresser, a heater, a full body mirror behind the door and a Homedics sounds canceling machine. Your room has been carefully decorated to offer you an "energized" feeling with its different blue tones and earthy decor.
  • Maria’s place was very clean and she was super friendly.

    Riley2018-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and clean place to stay. The check out time is a bit early though, a little bit rush in the morning.

    Zhao2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • I could not have asked for a better place to stay in San Francisco!

    Lia2017-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Maria's place is super convenient if you want to travel by public transportation (that said in SF, express Uber pool is even cheaper than BART if you are travelling with another person). The house is super clean and tidy, perfect for short-term stay in a central area. There are plenty of food and drink options nearby. It is also close to SFMOMA, which is a huge plus for me. However, if you had a nice impression of SF like me from years ago, just be aware that there are a lot of homeless people in the street nowadays and the streets are very dirty and smelly in this area, which I dislike a lot. I think the city has some serious problems to deal with.

    Ella2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Maria's place was really great. It was a nice get away at the end of the day and extremely peaceful. I enjoyed the terrace, drinking tea in the evening and falling asleep to the sound of rain due to the noise machine that was provided. After a day of adventuring it was the perfect place to go and decompress. Maria is sweet as can be and I'd definitely stay with her again if I traveled to San Francisco. Oh and best part is being able to leave my baggage in the garage before check in and after check out. That saved me from walking around with a suitcase in the city!

    Regina2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a very comfortable stay. Thanks Maria!

    Omar2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • I am a pretty private person, so I was deeply appreciative of the privacy and tranquility during my stay. Everything was neat and organized. The location was incredible - Moscone Center was about a 20 minute (or less) walk, and whenever it was too late to walk alone, I could typically snatch a cab ride for about $4 with pool. This proximity allowed me to go back and forth - unlike other further away places where I felt it would have been too time-consuming and costly to drop off my heavier items. I hope to be able to have such a warm and welcoming place again when I return to San Francisco.

    Vanessa2018-03-29T00:00:00Z

Relax with an evening drink on the rooftop terrace of this quiet apartment with majestic skyline views. Let the light in from two bay windows, admire monochrome art, and savor the modern charm of mirrors and metallic accents throughout.
Our studio includes parking for a compact, midsize, or entry-level luxury car. If your car doesn't fit (SUVs won't fit) you'll need to use street parking, which is metered, or pay for parking at a nearby garage. Check-in time depends on the day of the week.
The apartment is in the Civic Center area, close to all of the city's nightlife and sights, and just two blocks away from the SF Opera. City Hall and the SF Federal Building are only two blocks away. Three bus routes stop 200m from the front door.

    Rachel2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time, the space was clean and stylish, it had all the essentials, Carlos and Graciela, were always available, at one time I needed a key for the garage and their response was timely, the place is small but cozy and comfortable.

    Alex2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in Carlos & Graciela's place for one month with my wife and son. This place has really good location to travel in San Francisco and the Bay Area. First, I had some concerns because it is located near Tenderloin. But it is adjacent to Van Ness Avenue, one of main roads in SF. If you choose this place, you do not need to worry about the safety. The symphony tower, the name of the building, has very strong safety devices. Most of all, if you have a compact car, you do not need to pay extra money for parking a car. I really enjoyed my family trip at Carlos & Graciela's place. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an experience in San Francisco. Thank you!

    Sean2019-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very comfortable hotel. There are some streets where you have to worry about security, but access to all kinds of places is convenient. Also, the lady at the front desk who speaks Japanese was excellent and I wanted to stay again. Thank you for giving me a comfortable time.

  • Classy place with cute rooms. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. It had a really great, old school vibe!

    Ethan2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Hotel Whitcomb is an interesting and historic hotel listed on Airbnb.com. Unfortunately the reservation systems between Airbnb and Hotel Whitcomb seem to be inadequate in sharing reservation details, so when I showed up there was no record of my reservation. Also, there was no record either on Airbnb or in the Hotel's system regarding how much I paid for the reservation. This caused a delay of nearly an hour while we worked it out with the front desk. The front desk staff did there best and were the best part of this interaction in that they were providing good customer service through the reservation challenges. In the end I was upgraded to a suite for my trouble which was a nice touch, but the long delay, coupled with the excessive street noise, made the entire experience less than optimal. Until the reservation systems can communicate more effectively between Airbnb and Hotel Whitcomb, I would seek a different place to stay on a future trip to San Francisco.

    Darin2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and comfortable rooms. .

    Qingshuo2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: The hotel was great, our room was beautiful, and they even gave us a welcome bag with a bottle of wine and some snacks! We don't usually stay in hotels, but this was quite nice. The lobby of the hotel has some beautiful architecture as well. Cons: The neighborhood is central but also one of the sketchier parts of San Francisco, with people with mental illnesses or drug addiction on the streets at all hours of the day, screaming obscenities. It isn't a great place if you want to hide away from the economic disparity of San Francisco during your stay. Also, they mentioned a "Required Urban Bundle" fee that is only required by them, it isn't a government fee or tax. It's a dishonest practice in order to hide their true price during your search even if they mention it lower down in their listing, BUT we didn't need to pay this while we stayed, so maybe they've stopped charging that. Ask about it.

Come enjoy a night of wonder at this magical Harry Potter getaway! Enjoy the amenities of a brand new apartment building just steps away from Civic Center while nerding out in this muggle friendly Hogwarts set up. The private room sleeps up to 5 people (2 on the bottom full sized bunk, 1 on the top twin bunk, 2 on the air mattress + couch) and has its own dedicated bathroom, shower, and dressing area. You are also welcome to enjoy the gym, business center, and terrace located on the 2nd floor.
The apartment is on the top floor of the Ava building right off of Civic Center near 9th and Market. If you can't tell, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan but don't let that intimidate you if you just need a place to stay. In keeping with Airbnb's #weaccept campaign, I welcome all muggles, squibs, wizards, witches, warlocks, elves, goblins, centaurs, mermaids, and even the occasional werewolf. I do not however accommodate trolls of any kind, so be sure and register all of our guests through the platform so they are included in the review process. THE MUGGLES AT THE OFFICE OF SHORT TERM RENTAL REQUIRE I POST THE MESSAGE BELOW (and I may have been forced/hexed/jinxed/confunded into posting it as well): "Possession of a San Francisco Short-Term Residential Registration Certificate certifies that the registration certificate holder has agreed to comply with the term of the San Francisco Short-Term Residential Rental Ordinance (San Francisco Administrative Code Section 41A). This ordinance does not require an inspection of the unit by the City for potential building, housing, fire, or other code violations."
I'm just a block from Civic Center, only steps away from City Hall, the UN building, the Orpheum Theatre, the Bill Graham Center, and all of the shops, stores, and restaurants on Market Street.

  • Not a lot of space (only one closet per room with no dressers) and only one fridge for 11 people. Everyone was very friendly and the location is good though. Good way to meet people but not terrific living conditions.

  • Great location, great staff, breakfast was excellent and was quaint and very clean and comfortable.

  • This was our second stay, one week after our first, and the hotel room was very suitable for a tourist stay. The location is excellent very close to may restaurants and bars and the free breakfast is definitely an added bonus. The room was kept clean and tidy by the daily service, and the staff were all very good. The restaurant in the hotel was also very good. Jeff’s communications were excellent at all times. We were allocated a different room for our second week than the one we had for the first, and for the same cost, the second room was notably smaller and not quite as well equipped. This did not affect our enjoyment in any way but is worth noting. In summary therefore, very good value for money (as SF is an expensive city) and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

  • I stayed there for 1 month. The apt is awesome. First, the neighborhood around Van Ness is safe (most important). The furniture are nice, and everywhere is clean. The space is very large. The location is also very convenient. 5 mins walk to BART/MUNI, and walgreen, market are just near the building.

  • Place was great! Check-in/out was a breeze. Rebecca always responded to my questions promptly and Paul (the doorman) was very friendly and helpful!

  • We stayed here for 2 months and absolutely loved it. Great location and walking distance to Hayes Valley and the MUNI. The building is very secure and we felt very safe. The apartment is very comfortable and well stocked with all kitchen essentials. Enjoyed the large soaking tub and rooftop deck & bbq.

  • I had a medium-term business trip in SF, and this place was so much better than staying at a hotel. A fully-equipped kitchen so I was never hostage to restaurant food, on-site laundry, and everything else was perfect. The view south is great, especially if you catch one of those foggy nights where the lights work hard to break through.
