Our home is a 2-story Victorian on 6 country acres shared with our dog Jasmine, and 5 chickens (listen carefully as you may hear the rooster crowing!). We are short drives from Corning, Elmira, Elmira-Corning Regional Airport, & Watkins Glen. River access is just across the road and a community park is nearby. We welcome couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Free off-street parking is provided.
Tucked under the eaves upstairs, this room now features a new comfy Full bed which will sleep 2 average size adults. Guests have said this room is small enough to be cozy but large enough to provide some elbow room. Some have also enjoyed soaking in the large tub found in the adjacent full bath! A private door provides access to the bath while locks provide security as the bath is shared with other guests. As a "thank you" for staying with us we provide free tastings and 10% bottle purchase discount Thursday-Sunday at Four Fights Distilling, Corning's oldest distillery!
Located mid-way between Elmira & Corning we are close to many area attractions but offer a quiet retreat for those looking to unwind and de-stress. Originally a tobacco farm, fields surrounding the property are now mostly planted with corn. Chemung River access is across the road for canoers & kayakers. Gliders take off from the National Soaring Museum right over the property (weather permitting).
  • I was driving from Albany to Bradford PA and wanted to stop somewhere en route; chose this listing kind of at random because it's midway. What good fortune! Alicia and Bob were perfect hosts - welcoming, warm, hospitable. Their beautiful and beautifully decorated historic home, knowledge of local history and materials (photos & print materials) enhanced what would have been a perfect b&b experience in any case. And breakfast was great. Thanks so much! I highly recommend.

    Lorraine 2016-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bob and Alicia are the kindest, most welcoming people and their home is exactly what you hope to find in a bed and breakfast! The home is a beautifully decorated Victorian with vintage decor, views all around of the hills (the home is nestled in a valley), and thoughtful touches for the guests such as board games, books, coffee and tea, local activities information, etc.! There are chickens and a very sweet dog on the property as well. However, the best part of your stay will surely be conversation with Bob and Alicia. They have amazing hospitality; I had just moved from out of state and they made me feel right at home. I stayed here three weeks and it was hands down the best AirBnB I have stayed at. Also...Alicia’s breakfasts are amazing!! Farm fresh, home cooked breakfasts. Overall, they truly go above and beyond for guests and I am glad I stumbled upon their little slice of heaven Red Rooster Farm! ☺️

    Alexandra2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • A very warm welcome from Alicia and a great breakfast to wrap up a super cozy overnight stay. Beautiful house as well as surroundings, and a very attentive host. Would love to come back and experience more of this historical mansion, enjoy the grand breakfast and care of Alicia and spend more time with the chickens and pup! Fascinating area with a rich history as well as natural beauty to explore.

    Jasmine2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, clean place to escape to!! Lovely and delectable breakfast every morning that will make your day!

    Karen2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Close to Watkins Glen. Room was the right size for just myself. I was able to check in after 9pm. Comfy and clean room. Many breakfast options, hosts were fun to chat with.

    Mike2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia and Bob were gracious hosts. The house is spacious and comfortable and breakfast was delicious. I stayed in the larger room due to construction near the room I initially booked. Except for a bit of traffic noise during rush hour, I slept well. Quigley was a fine and very attentive puppy. I wish I could have stayed more than one night. I hope to return in the summer and sip some wine on the back porch.

    Elizabeth2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a charming and comfortable place with very friendly and helpful hosts! I especially enjoyed the soft bed, luxurious bathtub, and delicious breakfast. I only stayed one night to attend an event, but I would also recommend this space to someone who wants a relaxing getaway or to explore the area.

    Sarah2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia & Bob are the nicest hosts to their Red Rooster Farm. I am an animal lover and so must tell you that Quigley is the handsome and charming welcome. He is a delight to lick your face and keep your feet warm at the breakfast table. The breakfasts we had were delicious and savory. I slept well and had good rest after long days at Watkins Glen. The Sahlen's 6h race is what brought me to visit from Boca Raton, Florida as BMW CCA Foundation Ambassador. Not only did I enjoy my stay I learned about the area and had excellent conversations with Alicia and Bob and the other guests staying there also. Beautiful home, beautiful people. I recommend staying at Red Rooster Farm wholeheartedly.

Perfect location near Market Street and CMOG. Cute brewery, Iron Flamingo, a stones throw away from the home, as well! Taco truck available on Fridays at Iron Flamingo. Small, cozy neighborhood perfect for a weekend trip, pit stop, or business travel! Lilah, the house pet, loves new people. However, if you plan on bringing a dog please let me know in advance so everyone can be comfortable during the stay. Please be mindful that there are minor updates being done at times, thank you!
You have access to everything downstairs, upstairs you’ll have your bedroom and the bathroom. You may park in the driveway and the key provided works for the front and back door
Walking distance from Corning Museum of Glass, Iron Flamingo brewery, and Brick House Brewery. Liquor store on Ontario Street delivers, but also walking distance. Market Street has many small eats, cocktail bars and breweries, antique stores, glass shops, and the Rockwell Museum of Art. Watkins Glen is a 20 minute drive from here that also has many local shops, a lake, the racetrack, and the glen.
  • Taylor's place is a comfortable and affordable option when you're seeing sights in Corning. For me that meant a concert held by Valley Folk Music, the Glass Museum, and eateries & antique shops along Market St. All were within 10-20 minutes walk of her home. She was quick to respond to pre-check in communications and was super friendly and helpful in person. Enjoyed my short stay.

    Arvind2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Becky’s place was a restful and practical pitstop for me on my travels through the state. Becky was quick with her responses and flexible when there was a delay in my arrival. I had everything I needed and would stay there again if I were passing through. Next time I hope to check out the museum. :) Thanks again!

  • Great place to stay and get any business done

    Branden2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Just the bare bones. This place is definitely one of the cheaper rates, just be sure to bring your own towel, soap/shampoo, and maybe an extra blanket or two if visiting in the winter. Better location if you have a car, but isn’t too far from Market Street shops/food, and is 30min walk to glass museum.

    Emily2019-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Host was helpful and worked with me while checking in. The room I was directed to stay in was not the one pictured on Airbnb, but it was the same house. Cleanliness was an issue. Location is close to Market Street.

  • You can expect a warm connection with the owners and a unique experience if you choose to spend time on the lake--swimming, kayaking and just being in an amazing spot!

    Joyce2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Basement room with a small, high window and a shared bathroom. Double bed extremely soft. Hosts affable and helpful: found two chairs for the bedroom when asked and also found a space heater for the normally unheated bathroom. Standard of maintenance that of a handyman who has not quite finished his projects. Clean where important with one exception: hot tub’s chemistry is not maintained. Since a hot tub incubates bacteria at body temperature, by normal standards of public health the hot tub is unsafe.

3bdrm located in Village of Horseheads right off I-86 on quiet road with driveway within mile of grocery, restaurants, playgrounds etc in the Finger Lakes region. Great location with plenty to do in every direction, just 13 miles to CORNING, 16 to WATKINS GLEN, 6 to ELMIRA, and 30 miles to ITHACA. There is an area map & info on desk of many restaurants, grocery, gas etc plus backroom pamphlet display of local attractions & other things to do in surrounding areas. Any questions, happy to help!
This is a one story remodeled home that has been staged to be home away from home. There are 4 TV's (one in every bedroom and one in LR) that are connected with cable and living room also has DVD player plus cards, games, books, magazines and puzzles. Place also has a desk/work station, secured wireless internet, washer & dryer, iron & ironing board, hangers, plenty of bathroom supplies (shampoo, cond, soap dispensers, towels, hand towels, wash clothes, hair dryer, lotion, tissue) & kitchen items including service for up to 8, pots, pans, strainer, blender, mixer, rice cooker, serving bowls & trays, griddle, toaster, cork screw, bottle opener, can opener and keurig to help make your stay comfortable as well some kcups, tea bags, and hot cocoa ind servings too! All linens, blankets, pillows and extras are also provided. There is an electric fireplace in the Living room during the winter months (looks pretty and gives off additional heat if desired) and in the summer months there are three window Air Conditioners (Living Room & 2bdrms). If there is anything that I didn't think of please let me know. DRIVEWAY has ample space for few cars if you're in the area to catch up with family and friends and need a place to entertain. No on street parking overnight permitted in village. Whether you're traveling for work or pleasure, and even with children (sorry, no dogs) this is a great place to stay. There are no carpets and all beds and pillow cases have an extra plastic or protective cover. There is extra bedding and pillows in the laundry room if needed, and 2 baby gates, plug covers, and booster seat as well. There is a backdoor that leads to private indoor patio area with wicker seating and small outdoor patio area with additional seating for smoking or peaceful relaxing. Note, there is one 8-inch step at entry but I do have a detachable ramp that is several feet long that can be easily attached or removed. NO KEY needed with keyless electronic doorpad so can “check-in” anytime. Your unique entry code for your stay will be valid at 3pm on check in day until 12pm check out day. It will be messaged to you prior to check in day but not activated until that day. Simply enter one digit at a time on the digit-pad located above the doorknob of front door and the green light will appear and will hear latch open. This allows you to come and go as you please during stay and “check-in” anytime since you won't need any actual key. After each “check-out” that code is deleted and not used again. I like the security of only one code activated at a time so no one else has access during your stay. NO Local guest reservations, not intended as a local rental unit, must reside at least 60 miles out to reserve.
This private house is located in a quiet neighborhood with shopping and restaurants less than a mile away plus two parks within walking distance and another close by. Area map and guide on desk of Grocery, Parks, Coffee, Restaurants, Spas, Liquor/wine store, Brewery's, Gym, Gasoline, Pharmacy, Theater etc. plus pamphlet display in laundry room of local and surrounding areas of things to do.

  • Karen was a joy to communicate with. She responded to my texts promptly. When I asked about places to hike, Karen went out of her way to research this and sent me a list of possibilities. The unit was clean and very comfortable. Karen decorated the house with beautiful pictures and pretty curtains. I highly recommend this Airbnb.

This is a 50 acre setting with a frustrating hobby farm that most often benefits the abundant wildlife rather than the owner’s. Feel free to roam the mowed 12 acre lawn with trees and ponds. Beautiful view all day long overlooking the valley. The full apartment is remotely attached to the “barn” which houses the equipment used to maintain the property. Currently there are 3 free range chickens who love human interaction.
This full apartment is air conditioned for warm days and has in-floor heating to take the chill off cooler nights. A relaxing porch has 2 rockers overlooking a beautiful valley carved out by ancient glaciers. The large entry foyer leads into the full kitchen with a gas range and oven as well as full refrigerator and micro wave. The bathroom is large size with an oversized shower. The bedroom has a king size new-generation type foam mattress with his and hers closets as well as a cabinet with drawers.
This location enjoys a remote feel while shopping and world class tourists attractions are within a 20 mile radius to include a NASCAR track, over 200 wineries as well as aviation museums and an active sail plane base for 30 minute rides overlooking the area. Truly a place to use as a base camp or just relax and take in the views.
  • Don’t hesitate to book your stay at Falcon Overlook with Shared Wildlife! The loft itself is as perfect as pictured while Dave and Audrey are lovely hosts; friendly folks happy to make your stay a special one while offering as much privacy as desired. I highly recommend this place for your next NY adventure.

Such as Corning Glass Museum, The Rockwell Museum and all our cute little shops and restaurants on Market Street. The Arnot mall is 20 mins away with many different restaurants to those from.
It is very peaceful with a country feel. I live right next to a pet supply shore if you decide to bring your fur baby you could check it out.

Our home is located on Rte 414 10 miles to Corning or Watkins Glen. The beautiful back yard allows for a campfire (wood supplied), sunbathing and playing games. Explore the creek bed that leads to a well stocked trout stream. Visit the goats at the farm up the road. Two TV's are connected and a private phone is available for your convenience. Parking is off 414 with ample space for 3 cars. This remodeled home has hard wood floors, custom kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops.
Remember that this house is in the country. We have had deer in the yard and an owl in the trees. It is not uncommon to have bunnies in the back yard. So you may run into some wild life. That means that there may be bugs depending on the weather. There are squirrels, chipmunks and possibly a mole or mouse. If you have any concerns about wildlife please contact us.
  • Barb was an amazing host. She was very communicative with us from the moment we booked until we left. If we had any questions she was very quick to respond back. The house was immaculate and very well stocked with extra blankets and items we may have forgotten. Barb was helpful in sending out things to do in the area to ensure that we knew what we could do while we were up there. It was avery nice stay and we will definitely be back again.

    Chris2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Barbs place exceeded our expectations. Our hosts were very friendly, informative, communicative and very inspiring with how much work they put into making their space cozy for guests. Recommend it 100% and can't wait to go back! We met their goats and got a tour of their barn (coming soon!) They recommended local sights and restaurants/shops to check out. It was a little difficult for me to find the driveway, maybe a small sign visible from a few feet away can help. Despite that, our family of (4) enjoyed and ate very greatful for their hospitality. :)

    Maria2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We always love staying at Barb's place every time we visit corning. The house is very warm and inviting and Barb always makes our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

    Aaron2018-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Barb was wonderful. The house had everything we could possibly need. My kids wanted to buy it. Barb was so accommodating, she answered questions quickly and let the kids pet the goats. She brought us fresh eggs continuously. We couldn't have asked for a better time. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting the Finger Lakes.

    Melissa2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Barb’s house is just perfect. Easy to find, gorgeous location, every comfort cared for in a home that is perfectly designed to make you feel at ease. The kitchen was amazing, you can cook with wonderful appliances if that’s your thing, or you can go the short distance to nice restaurants. Personally, we just wanted to stay in and enjoy the house.

    Karen2018-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, great location, we would love to come back one day!

    Michael2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I and 4 children stayed here two nights, and it worked out great. With the big frig and range, and the gas grill on the deck, we did our own cooking. Traveling with 6 people generates loads of laundry, so the washer and dryer were handy. The wifi was a nice amenity too, especially as our Verizon phones had little to no cellular signal. The location is perfect for exploring Corning and Watkins Glen, each only about 15 minutes away. Barb is friendly and responsive. Barb, thank you for your hospitality!

    Alvin2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • This AirBNB is in a great location - very close to hiking trails, waterfalls, town, Corning. As soon as you get out of your car you will be immediately greeted with the clean, fresh smell of nature. The kitchen is terrific; the large window lets in tons of light, and you can enjoy meals while looking out at the beautiful backyard and creek. It’s very roomy, and the beds were super comfortable. It is right off the road, so there was some road noise, but not enough to deter us from staying here again in the future. It was a lovely place that contributed to our fantastic week long trip.

    Peter2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had an amazing time, the location is very spacious and perfect as a base to go out and explore the surrounding or stay in and lounge around.

    Emma2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • I was very happy with Ed's home and it was even better than I expected from the pictures online. The location was perfect to downtown and the hosts provided plenty of tourist information and amenities within the home. It was very clean and spacious and was perfect for my family! Check is went flawlessly! One word of advice for future travelers is that the home is located on a very large hill so it is hard to access for someone who may be handicapped or have mobility issues. The neighbors dog was annoying with his barking but that's not in the owner's control. I love downtown Corning and can't wait to come back! We had a blast at the Sparkle Festival!!!

    Kelly2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • House is convenient to the downtown of Corning. Neighborhood is quiet. Plenty of space for the 3 of us. Ed provided everything we needed for a good stay.

  • I spent four nights in Yannick's home with three friends/colleagues while we were in Corning for a conference. It was perfect for our needs - a clean and comfortable "home away from home." It's very conveniently located - we were able to get to the Museum of Glass/Market St. within just a few minutes. And it's very spacious - we were able to really spread out and relax after our long days at the conference. Would happily stay again!

    Brianne2018-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Yannick’s Place was very clean, tidy and spacious... My family was very comfortable there!

    Shelley2018-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and cozy house; well-kept.

    Rhiannon2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house perfectly fit my needs for this trip! I was traveling with a friend and her husband flew in for a couple of nights. The master suite and the second bedroom with an en-suite bath allowed us all plenty of private space while the large living and dining rooms and spacious kitchen gave us plenty of options to hang out together. I wish the weather had allowed us to take advantage of the screened porch but it was a little too cool for that. The house was very clean. The location was perfect for visiting nearby family and all the local tourist sites - wineries, Market Street, Watkins Glen and the Corning Museum. I hope to stay here again on future visits to the area.

  • We had a wonderfull Time in corning with Angela ! One of the best hosts i had experienced through airbnb. Perfect sleep, perfect meal... Everything was just fine.

    Julien2014-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Good hospitality, nice place. Will start here again when I'm in town.

    Brandon2018-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Angela' house is in a nice locality and very close to the Corning museum of glass. It was easy to find the place and she was very sweet to have waited for us till 1 am in the night. We had the privacy we needed. Angela is a nice and friendly host and has a clean place.

    Shyam2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • I was participating in the wineglass half marathon, and all of the nearby hotels were either booked up and/or required a 2 or 3 day minimum stay that weekend. I wanted to come into town Saturday and leave Sunday, so staying 3 days was not really ideal so I turned to airbnb. Because I really was only looking for a bed to sleep in for a few hours, I can't comment too much other than that when I arrived, (approximately 7:30pm) I was warmly greeted and shown my room/bathroom and I mentioned that I would be leaving at around 4:30am. I was told this wouldn't be a problem and then I went to bed to get my rest. The room seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. I didn't have any complaints and I appreciate my hosts accommodating my weird schedule that night. They do have a dog which I can't remember if it was mentioned in the listing or not. It was very sweet and friendly but may be an issue for people with allergies.

    Laurel2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • It is not clean. There is a lot of mold in the bathroom. They have a dog (mentioned in the discription?) and you can smell there is a dog in the house. Angela had to change the sheets after we asked her. Angela and her husband are very friendly.

    Hans2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Angela and John we’re welcoming and warm hosts. It felt like we were visiting family without the drama. We will definitely stay with them again on our next visit to Corning. We were less then 10 minutes to downtown Corning and the glass museum, which are both awesome.

    Sue2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Angela and family are warm and accommodating hosts. You will be staying with them in their home, but they provide you a private bedroom and bath, and let you use other parts of their home as you need.

    Larry2018-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The host was extremely gracious and was interested in where we came from and what we did! We were greeted at the door and were taken care of completely. She offered tips for restaurants and also where to go to sightsee! We were in the area for the sports car race at Watkins Glen which is about a 22 mile ride in the country away from the city of Corning, New York

Corning has won all sorts of awards for being the best small town on the planet! And all these awards are well-deserved. Our home is kitty-corner to a wonderful neighborhood park and is located in an older neighborhood of modest homes. A short stroll downhill brings you to the historic (and still in use) post office, or, in another direction, the community arts center and stately churches. One block later you are on Historic Market Street full of shopping and dining. This city is truly walkable - and the sidewalks also accommodate strollers and wheeled-walkers!
  • My family of 5 really enjoyed the Artful house. Jennifer is a wonderful host -- meeting us at arrival and showing us around. The kitchen is well stocked with food basics, cooking gear, condiments, etc. That made breakfast especially easy. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Washer/dryer is there if you need it. The house has broadband and you can get Netflix on the TV. The house's proximity Market St is as advertised -- 5 min walk. With young kids you still may need to drive to the museum. There is field across the street that is great for throwing a ball or frisbee. I would definitely stay there again!

    Mark2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This historic, artfully decorated home will not disappoint! A quiet, restful place whether enjoying a cup of tea on the porch or watching the birds at the feeder from inside. Beds and pillows are comfy, plenty of lighting and nightlights, and a well stocked kitchen. Plus a strong wifi signal, cable TV and many books to choose from. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

    Catherin2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • The home is perfectly located, beautifully decorated and completely comfortable. There is convenient off-street parking and a quiet sanctuary of a garden to relax in. We are very fortunate to have found it. Jennifer made our visit to Corning a wonderful experience and we look forward to more visits in the future.

    Calvin2018-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay in Corning.

    Louise2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This home really exceeded all of our expectations. Very much a clean, well-kept historic home is a neat neighborhood a few blocks from downtown Corning. House was nicely decorated with antiques and art work. Jennifer was a tremendous host and the house had plenty of breakfast items and other nice touches. We already miss sitting on the front porch and hope to be back someday!

    Jeff2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time here and it was just as homey and comfortable as the time before. Perhaps it was even more so given that we were familiar with everything and were immediately able decompress after a long drive from Miami. Jennifer and Noele are wonderful hosts who get that details matter. Towels? They're abundant. The good toilet paper? Check! Coffee and breakfast foods? Ready for you along with so many other touches that make you feel welcome and at home. The location can't be beat as it's just a short walk to downtown Corning. Our pups love the park nearby and sitting on the front porch watching the squirrels and birds. We do, too.

    Ken2019-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to feel at home away from home, I can't imagine a more charming place and more gracious hosts. This is a creative, quirky, warm and inviting place in a wonderful location near Corning's downtown. My family settled right in and quickly became temporary locals with the help of Jennifer and Noel. They gave us every bit of clarity we could need, thought of every detail from large to small and once we sat on the front porch we were home. I will look forward to staying there again when I'm in Corning next. While I used to dread the thought of staying at the Radisson on my business trips, now...all dread is gone.

    Ken2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very nice. The home is beautiful. The nice touches around the home (like the motion sensor lights down the back walkway) are a very thoughtful. Everything in the town is in walking distance from the house. I would recommend anybody to stay here.

Recently remodeled bi-level home with lodge decor on a 9.5 acre wooded lot with beautiful 3/4 acre pond gives peaceful privacy and relaxation. While having an isolated feel, it has a/c, WiFi, dvd and firestick tv. Five miles from Corning's attractions, 20 min. to Elmira, and 35 min. from Watkins Glen and Finger Lakes. Spacious living/dining/kitchen area opens to a 12x28 deck overlooking the pond. Peaceful beauty, water, tall pines, maple trees and wildlife sightings make it hard to leave!
Three memory foam mattresses. Extensive library of wildlife and local picture books and literature for rainy days. Gas fireplace in living room adds ambiance. Kitchen has up to date stainless steel appliances. Both full baths were recently remodeled. Enjoy smores by the fire ring at pond's edge while listening to the frogs, and watch for deer in early mornings.
The closest neighbors are a few hundred yards away down and across the road. Their houses cannot be seen through the entirely wooded lot with a small stream (Whiskey Creek) running through. There is a small 12-15 foot stair step waterfall on Whiskey Creek which can be seen from the road just below our downstream next neighbor's house on the same side of the road (towards Corning).
  • This retreat is EXCEPTIONAL. The location is very private yet very close to town with many things to see and do. It is wonderfully decorated and had everything to relax and be comfortable. Communication was excellent with owner. You won’t want to leave!

    Robert2018-11-25T00:00:00Z

  • This was a fabulous house, area and stay. Very quiet, great deck to just relax and big kitchen. Had everything we needed. Water pressure was very low. Couldn’t use both showers at once but once we knew that we planned better. Would definitely use again. Lightening bugs were a nice touch

    Vicki2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place.. .amazing location.. perfect privacy... and lots to do at this private property! House is loaded with almost everything and amenities are updated. Me, my friends had a great time over weekend. Would highly recommend and surely will visit again....

    Prasad2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time, the house felt like more of a cabin get away in the woods and was off the beaten path and tucked back in the woods. This is a wonderful place to stay, has great amenities, if your worried about spending a little extra money don’t. This place is well worth it for the outdoor enthusiast or just to get away. Ross was very accommodating, we woke up in the morning and went out to the deck and had our coffee, watched the fish jump in the pond and watched the wildlife in the trees. We got to feed the fish and that was super fun because we were able to see the fish. We were also able to fish and had a blast doing so. We had a camp fire in the outside fire pit one night and the fire place inside kept us warm as we read our books in the lazy boy and watched tv. The whole cabin was very nice and we had tons of space and plenty off sleeping areas. If we ever are in town again this is the place we will stay for years to come!! Well worth every penny, you will not regret a single moment. Also for your kids they have WiFi in case you have teenagers that don’t want to do anything but look at a phone.

    Justin2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Close to town, but secluded and private. We saw a heron, deer and a bear! on different mornings. Ross was very helpful. Plan to return next year.

  • We stayed at Kitty & John's new place "The Castle" on Glen Avenue in Elmira to run the Wineglass Half Marathon. It was a lovely home with tons of charm. Kitty was a gracious hostess who left fresh flowers & a basket of goodies to welcome us. The beds were so comfortable and we enjoyed sitting out on the large porch as well. Elmira is a very cute town, only about 20 minutes from the Corning Museum of Glass. Thank you Kitty for a great stay!

    Kimberly2014-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space and location. Kitty was accommodating and helpful. We were in town for a family wedding. We had the room to visit with visiting family in a comfortable convenient setting. The rooms were good sized. Parking was easy. The house was clean and everything worked. The neighborhood is quite residential and quiet. This is a great family location. An Airbnb that is a whole house is a great find as we could spend time together in the various common areas. With all the electronics that drain our attention, it is terrific to find a spot to relax and enjoy someone's company. We would hope to stay again.

    Michael2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kitty’s place is wonderful. So lovely and comfortable with lots of beautiful little touches. My family and I had to make a last minute trip to attend a memorial service and Kitty’s fast and accurate communication made our booking and check in so easy. The home is wonderful with tons of space, plenty of privacy, and a great little kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Our family absolutely adored our stay at this BEAUTIFULLY restored farmhouse! Between the lavender fields right outside our windows, the quiet space in the back for cozy fires and late night conversation, the GORGEOUS barn across the road (also restored by the owners), and the incredible detail of the interior, we could not have been more in awe! Our two children loved the family-friendly, special touches left by our hosts and had a blast exploring the fields that surround this property. My husband and I enjoyed sipping coffee in the peace and quiet of the living room, and got some much needed rest during our stay. My in-laws also stayed with us and could not stop complementing the decor as they own a successful home staging company in a different part of the country. They took many ideas home with them inspired by the creative designs of this place! Everything about our stay was amazing - the beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms are gorgeous with amazing details that you can tell were crafted by hand, the appliances are all great and the kitchen was well stocked for our stay! I have stayed at far too many locations where finding glasses or plates, spices or even just salt was a headache. Nothing was lacking in that kitchen, which made our stay so much easier! Thank you, Christianna and Susan for such a blessed stay at your farmhouse! We will most definitely be back!!

    Rachael2017-11-24T00:00:00Z

  • Thank you Christianna for being a great host. The place is cozy and inviting, completed with beautiful details and style. We gathered for a quiet family reunion, coming from Canada, US and Europe, and everyone was in love with the cottage at instance. We lit candles at nights and had great talks and laughter, those memories will be in our hearts. We had plenty of everything to feel like home. The place has fantastic taste, very clean, plenty of towels and utensils. Clear instructions were provided how to find the cottage. All questions answered immediately by email. Thank you!

  • I had a great stay at JoAnn’s place and definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Corning. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood that’s a short walk into town, and the room itself was incredibly clean and a great place to unwind. JoAnn was very responsive and easy to communicate with as well!

  • Nice, cozy house and an excellent location for a week at CMOG and the Rakow Library. It was great to have a microwave and cutlery in the room so I didn't have to eat out every night. JoAnn is very welcoming!

    Samantha2016-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I stayed at Joann's lovely home during our weekend trip to visit the CMOG and loved it. Her home is very well maintained with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. Great location! Convenient to CMOG and Rockwell Museum. Joann's restaurant recommendations were perfect. She was a warm and welcoming host!

  • Great location. Friendly host. The home owner or another guest must be a smoker. There was a very strong smoke smell.

Tucked under the eaves at the back of the house, this light & airy room features a Queen bed and is decorated in a nautical theme. The 100+ year old yellow pine floors were uncovered during remodeling & are original to the house. Plenty of natural light comes in through east- and northwest-facing windows. If you're looking for a quiet, private space to unwind, this room is for you.
Located mid-way between Elmira & Corning we are close to many area attractions but offer a quite retreat for those looking to unwind and de-stress. Originally a tobacco farm, fields surrounding the property are now mostly planted with corn. Chemung River access is across the road for canoers & kayakers. Gliders take off from the National Soaring Museum right over the property (weather permitting).
  • Alicia and Bob were amazing hosts! Kind, helpful, and just great all round. Beautiful house and location! We highly recommend stay at the Red Rooster Farm!!!

    Cheyenne2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia and Bob are the most heart-warming and good people I have had as Airbnb host. They accepted my late arrival and we had a nice chat. The bed was very comfy and the room and bathroom perfectly nice and clean. Then in the morning they re-scheduled breakfast earlier just for me and it was delicious. Will go back everytime I am in the area, if not to stay just to say hi to my new friends! Many thanks!

    Patrick2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia and Bob's place was a delight amidst beautiful nature. Their hospitality touched my heart and I had an enjoyable/comfortable stay at theirs over the weekend. Alicia made sure of providing delicious breakfast every morning and their super friendly dog Jasmine was very fun to play with. I would highly recommend red rooster farm to anybody visiting finger lake region!

    Kankana2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best place we have ever stayed at using Airbnb. We were caught in the winter storm madness in the winter of 2017-early 2018 and had to switch flights from Rochester airport to Elmira airport. It is about a 1.5 hours drive. We inquired while about to leave the Rochester airport and got an immediate response. Place is booked and ready to go. They even agree to clean a little extra because we have dog allergies. Also they have a friendly dog. We arrive and our hosts help bring our bags in and offer to take us to get food and offer us milk and cookies! Keeping in mind this is about 8-9pm. We decide to stay in and get sleep since we have a 6 am flight the next morning. The rooms have basic toiletries provided, very comfy beds, bottled water (unlimited) and decorated very nicely. The hall has a guest refrigerator with more bottled water. The bathroom has a tub and shower with towels for everyone and a dirty towel hamper. His and her shower products provided as well as bubble bath products for use! It had everything a hotel would have plus some and they were just so nice. They even got up with us in the morning and showed us out at 4am. This will definitely be a return visit if we ever get the chance to come back.

    Tyler2018-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Red Rooster Farm made me want to book with them every time I come into town. Alicia and Bob are incredibly welcoming, friendly, accommodating hosts. They really go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Their dog Quigley is an incredibly sweet doggo who just wants love, love, love. I stayed at the Red Rooster Farm for two evenings while I was in town. I opted in to have breakfast with the family both mornings I was there. My God. If nothing else book this place for the breakfast. Alicia and Bob are great conversationalists! It was frigid, as Upstate New York winters are, and upon my return one evening, Bob prepared some hot tea before I turned in for the night. Also of note, there is a jet stream tub. Which is awesome for old beat up bodies like mine.

    Eli2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia and Bob were AMAZING hosts. They were so kind and incredibly welcoming. Everything was generously provided for us, and Alicia made us a delicious breakfast in the morning. The place itself was charming, beautiful, and full of rich history. As for location, the place might seem isolated, but in reality it's only about a 10 minute drive to restaurants and other local sights and attractions in nearby Corning. Right down the road is a drive-in movie theater and access to the river with a gorgeous view. Overall, we could not have picked a better place to stay for the night. Thank you so much for having us! :)

    Sheena2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia and her husband Bob are wonderful people with a beautiful home. They were very accommodating throughout our entire visit and offered great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Their home is very accessible to downtown Corning, and they are just a short drive from the highway, which is great for guests who are looking to venture out to the wineries or state parks. The warm hospitality (and delicious breakfast) left quite an impression! I'd definitely stay here again for future trips up to Finger Lakes region.

    Nicholas2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Red Rooster Farm is a wonderful place to catch your breath when traveling and you need some down time! Alicia and Bob are the most welcoming folks as well as Quigley their dog and Theodore the rooster and girls (chickens). The beds are comfortable and rooms clean, as the full breakfast is always delicious! We love visiting the Red Rooster Farm!

  • This is by far one of the best Airbnb's we've ever stayed in. Alicia was very prompt in communicating check-in times, and was in touch up until we drove up to the farm. She and her husband Bob were so kind and friendly, and made us feel at ease almost immediately! And their dog Quigley is basically a huge hug in dog form. They gave us dinner suggestions and also a free flight tasting and 10% off coupon at her son's distillery (Four Fights Distilling) - HIGHLY recommend this, my boyfriend and I came back with 3 bottles and 2 lipbalms (very necessary, of course!). The room was well-sized and extremely cozy - even had an electric fireplace. The bathroom was so thoughtfully stocked, in case you missed any of your toiletries! We were able to come in and out through a side door as well. The highlight of the whole trip was the delicious breakfast we had with them on the day of check-out. A great conversation and an adorable chocolate lab lying under our feet made for the perfect end to a perfect trip! Would absolutely recommend for anyone to stay here!

  • Lovely, lovely, lovely. Super hosts, beautiful home, king bed comfy with silky soft linens. Breakfast was delicious! Orange bourbon french toast with fresh fruit and keurig coffee amazing! Highly recommend! Wish we had more time there. Home was decorated impeccably. Such a nice surprise👍❤️

  • The Red Rooster Farm was a wonderful first experience with Airbnb. Alicia and Bob greeted us with smiles and a beautiful room to rest in after a long ride. The house is exceptionally clean and decorated with all the farmhouse charm you could want. A relaxing covered porch to sit, beautiful scenery, and hosts knowledgeable of the history of the house and location. Alicia has put a lot of thought into what a person may need while traveling, from amenities in your room to inquiring about allergies before cooking your breakfast. Our stay at the Red Rooster Farm was a highlight of our trip and I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone traveling in the Corning / Watkins Glen area. Thanks, Alicia and Bob!! Cindy & Ken

  • Wow, where do I start. Loved the Red Rooster Farm, the hospitality, the dogs, the chickens, the breakfast, the water for the race, the recommendations and the directions, and Bob and Alicia for being great hosts. We loved this beautiful place and we’ll probably be back to stay for another NASCAR race!

    Wendy2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Alicia is a warm and welcoming host and her home is beautiful. The grounds are interesting and I would have loved to stay longer to explore them.

  • Alicia and her husband were wonderful hosts. We had issues leaving on Friday after work, and between traffic and everything, we arrived very late, some two hours after my initial estimate. I am fairly sure we kept them up, yet they were extremely gracious and understanding. Their house is very beautiful and beautifully decorated, and everything was wonderful. Next morning, Alicia cooked one of the best breakfasts I have had - delicious, fresh, and absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back when in the area!

  • We were here for 9 days in the hottest part of the summer. The house is fine, with nice furniture and a fairly comfortable bed. All bedding was provided, as well as towels. The neighborhood is quiet, and there was a spacious back yard. We would recommend you follow the parking requirements to the letter, as we did get a parking ticket. The master bedroom has sheer curtains, so don't expect privacy from the rest of the house. The house is very old, as most are in the area, but most of the windows do not open. There is no A/C and the host does not provide fans. We had to buy a turbo fan just to get through the hotter nights and couldn't be in the house much during the day on the hotter days. The bathroom could do with improvement. The toilet requires you to hold the handle for 40 seconds to fully flush; the shower is very small and has such low water pressure it was difficult to rinse shampoo out of longer hair. The kitchen was fairly well stocked for cooking, but the microwave is very old and the door wouldn't always close well enough to allow the microwave to start. The location of the home is great, near Market Street, CMOG, and only 20 minutes or so from Harris Hill. There was supposed to be cable, but it wasn't hooked up, so there was no TV at all, even though that was supposed to be part of the package. It gave us what we needed (we had to be there for an ill family member) but not likely a location we'd choose again.

This is a complete 800 sq ft apartment that is part of a newly built barn. Although the original design was not for a living space, a returning adult child made the transformation into what it is today. We are delighted to share this area with visitors who want to enjoy the flexibility of seclusion on the 50 acre hobby farm and use this as a base camp to enjoy the surrounding sites. This is wine country for sure! Within 20 miles is the Glider Capital of the world as well as historic Corning city
Enjoy the seclusion of the country while overlooking the beautiful valley carved out by ancient glaciers. This 50 acre hobby farm offers strolls down to the bench near the pond on the edge of a mowed 12 acre front lawn. There are logging trails throughout the adjoining 28 acres of mature woods.
This cozy apartment is offset from a neighborhood on 50 acres overlooking a beautiful valley. A great base camp to explore renowned wine country, a NASCAR race track, the summer home of author Mark Twain as well as his final resting place. Glider rides are available at Harris Hill which is dubbed the Soaring Capital of the World. The newly restored Civil War prison camp site offers many chances to discover facts and details of the many Confederate solders who were prisoners in one of the largest camps in that war. The city of Corning is nearby with many attractions as well as the famous Market street which is 5 blocks long and can consume a whole day with shopping and eating. Likewise from your front porch you can scan across the airport valley and see millions of awesome sq ft of shopping at the Arnot Mall as well as the Consumer Square.

Private and cozy 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath ranch home just 2 miles outside the City of Corning. Large deck with outdoor furniture and gas grill, fire pit in large yard backed up to a creek and small, covered front porch. Living room and bedrooms all have ceiling fans. Central air is out of commission for now. Ping pong table, darts and Tiki Toss hook & ring game in the unfinished basement. 30 minute drive to Watkins Glen; 1 hour to Ithaca.
Small family home (1700 square feet) just outside the Corning city limits. My home is mostly finished but there are a few projects in process. The second bathroom needs to be updated. Though it's clean and functional I'm listing it as a half bath because the shower isn't the nicest. Please note that I don't have cable service, however, I do have a Roku which essentially turns my TV into a smart one. There are major network streaming apps, Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, etc.
A couple of miles outside the city of Corning, yet still have the convenience of Chinese food delivery as well as delivery from multiple pizzerias. Very quiet country setting with only two occupied houses nearby, both quite and friendly. Large yard and creek on property, woods to one side and behind.
  • The location is perfect if you enjoy the outdoors. We had the best time and Corning is such a cute little town. Within an hour there are so many parks and beautiful waterfalls to hike and swim at. Romeo is a fun bonus :)

  • There aren't enough superlatives to describe our stay at Villa Bernese the highlight being our hosts, Marianne and Tony, who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked into their beautiful home. Every morning Marianne served us an amazing breakfast which was really like a Sunday brunch. Next year we have plans to visit Switzerland, and Marianne and Tony being from Bern, were a font of information. We have been staying in B&Bs for over forty years, and Villa Bernese was truly one of our most enjoyable and memorable. They deserve a rating of 5 Stars Plus! Jan and Gene Madigan Amherst, NH

My place is close to restaurants and dining and family-friendly activities. My place is good for solo adventurers and business travelers.
  • Actually I did end up not staying at Beckys place. My request in the morning to arrive at 8:30 p.m. was not answered before 10 pm and I was just to tired to get out of bed and on the road. Request to change to another date was not answered from the host before I said I was still considering to drive down

  • I’ve stayed here multiple times. It’s my favorite spot in Corning!

  • I needed place to stay for winter time to minimize travel and the room was clean no bed bugs, clean bedding. I would definitely stay again for the money it was offered for. Area was quiet and safe street parking.

  • Becky's place was just what I needed after a long day in Watkins Glen and Corning. The room and neighborhood met my expectations and Becky was very easy to communicate with.

  • place was good value for money, however, there was no air conditioning and the bathtub drain didn't work.

  • It's a great deal for its price.

  • The Fire alarm was beeping every 30 seconds all night long. Place was filthy. No towels. You get what you pay for

  • Great value for the price. I travel for work and this has worked well as an inexpensive option to sleep and cook. The space is clean and the bedroom was cozy, great communication from Becky.

  • Good value for what you pay for. Walls are thin so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

  • Becky's place is inexpensive. It is a good value, as long as you are not too fussy. I stayed in the bedroom on the first floor facing the street for two weeks. This place seems to have four or five bedrooms for rent. I met several other short term renters and one long term renter during my two week stay. Becky's place is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The 14 or 15 stairs to the second floor, where the coin-operated washer and dryer and the nicer, larger bathroom are located, are steep and narrow. They are carpeted in a way that feels slippery. My advice to you is to hold onto the handrail! The coin-operated washer and dryer were excellent. They seemed new and did a great job. Becky's place is also not recommended for anyone with mold allergies. My room did not smell moldy at all, but both bathrooms had moldy smells. The downstairs bathroom was particularly moldy during my stay, and the smell permeated most of the first floor. This issue may get addressed over time. My impression is that this place is undergoing ongoing repairs and improvements, so someone who stays six months after my visit might have a completely different experience. The kitchen was rather beat up, with cabinet doors missing and an old refrigerator that did not keep food cold enough. When I mentioned this to Becky, she said that they had already purchased a new refrigerator, and just needed to arrange delivery. Luckily, I was not counting on using the refrigerator during my stay. For all this, I was reasonably comfortable staying at this place. My bedroom seemed clean, although the bedside table was dusty. The bed was comfortable. The furniture was heavily used, but functional. The carpeting was clean and the paint was relatively fresh. The AC window unit in my room was not super powerful, but it was enough to take the edge off 80 degree, humid summer days. It was also useful for masking noises elsewhere in the building. The room was bright and sunny, with blinds on two windows and a shade covering the third. The location was very convenient. I rarely had trouble finding parking. The street was relatively quiet. The biggest excitement was a black bear eating trash in the driveway across the street when I checked in. According to the neighbors, this was NOT a common occurrence in the neighborhood. The trash was thoroughly cleaned up after the bear left, and I did not see the bear again for the remainder of my visit.
