Billie's room is a very comfortable room in our historic 5 bedroom home in Beacon, NY. Our property is 1.8 acres and includes a large outdoor area with seating, a grill and a sport court. This room is on the 2nd floor and has a full sized bed. There are 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor, both are shared. We have other bedrooms listed on Airbnb as well as our entire home for those that prefer exclusive use. Short walk to train, DIA, Mt. Beacon, Hudson River, Main St (shops/restaurants).
Our house was built in 1794 making it more than 200 years old - second oldest house in Beacon. The house is preserved and cozy. We have nearly 2 acres of property that consists of yard and woods. We have a basketball/pickleball court. Pickleball is a fun easy game that can be played by 2 or 4 players. Outdoor grilling and seating with lights also for chilling.
Our home is a few blocks walk to the train station as well as to Main Street. Great for eating at any of the many delicious restaurants or shopping/browsing the shops and galleries. There are hiking trails along the river starting at the train station or a walk from our end of town to the other will bring you to the foot of Mt. Beacon and awesome trails that lead you to the top.
  • The lovely antique home was comfortable and quiet, our hosts Tricia and Steve were delightful.

  • Patricia and her family are kind, warm and welcoming. They live in the house so there is a homey feel and guests are there in the midst of the family's daily activities, however you have privacy and can come and go as needed. It's a beautiful historic house with original wood floors and vintage features. I stayed in Billie's room which was very cozy and comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous, had an awesome red tiled shower and was clean. I appreciated having use of their kitchen. Cold and hot water was always available for tea, with an assortment of teas. One evening they had a family gathering and offered me food so I didn't have to cook, which was so nice. In general they were friendly and a few times included me in their conversations. I was looking for an apartment and they were very helpful, made suggestions and gave me the number of a local real estate agent. The house is conveniently located very close to I84 and the Beacon train station, also near Main street where there are some great shops and restaurants. I highly recommend staying at Patricia's, you will have an excellent experience.

  • A wonderfully well located, clean and comfortable place, perfect for the solo traveller. Steve and Patricia were perfect hosts who provided great suggestions and were quick to respond to my questions. Highly recommend!

  • Trish was the best host I could have imagined, and my stay at the Rothberg's place absolutely made my trip to Beacon. She had the perfect balance between not bothering the guests at all when they want space and being totally present and friendly whenever I asked a question or needed help. Most of the time I simply came and went as I pleased, and everything was set up for me. But I also really enjoyed a few chats that with her about the history of Beacon, and what life was like there. It was the best of both worlds, with all the independence of staying at a hotel and all the charm of staying with a family. I would definitely go back next time I visit Beacon.

  • Steve and Tricia's place is truly amazing. Their openness is very welcoming and brings a joy to the heart. The home is exactly as detailed in pictures and the stay could not have gone better. Great location, quiet, relaxing, close walk to Main St. and MTA Train Station.

    Kenny2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a great location for the train station, the park by the Hudson River and Beacon town centre. It's also only a couple of miles from the Beacon hills if you want to go hill walking. I was the only guest and I didn't meet the hosts till the morning after I arrived so was a bit lost at first (also street number not visible at night), but they were very friendly and helpful the following day. The house has a large garden, and a big sitting room with guitars, piano and drum available. It would be great for a group - especially if they like to play music together (keep noise down after 10 pm) as there are 4 bedrooms available, but I imagine there would be a queue for the bathroom if more than 2-3 guests were staying.

    Philippa2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts. Very accommodating, excellent communication. Room / place as advertised. Great value, very convenient, great location. Fit my needs perfectly. Thanks Patricia!

  • This is one of the finest examples of Air BnB I've ever experienced. Laid back and open at the same time; beautiful souls in this house absent and present. True sanctuary from normal "hotels" - and truly what makes Air BnB a wonderful option.

A spacious room with calming blue colors in a colonial house built in the late 1800s with a serene backyard. We're a quick walk to Main St. attractions, shops, and restaurants, and a stroll away from hiking trails. Come and unwind in Beacon!
The room is spacious but cozy, with a comfy bed, and desk. It gets lots of sunshine, and has a view of our backyard. The house is on a quiet street, but is smack dab in the middle of all the action Beacon has to offer: shops, hiking, and museums.
Beacon is a perfect blend of small town vibe and the vibrancy of NYC. Main St. is filled with small boutiques, record and book stores, ice cream shops, bars, and more. We live on a quiet street that's perfect for an evening stroll down side streets, and minutes from the hustle and bustle of Main St.
  • I had a great weekend in Beacon. Brendan, Lee and Mazzy (the cat) were great hosts. Their home was clean and comfy in the quiet and neighborhood within a walking distance to Main Street and Beacon train station. Check out Quinn’s - one of the best ramen place in town.

  • Stayed here for a couple of nights during my travels upstate, and really glad I did. The Blue Room is charming and clean and cosy and quiet, Brendan and Lee are really friendly and down to earth, and Beacon is beautiful. I felt really able to relax here, came and went as I pleased, and got some great down time. Thank you Brendan and Lee!

A perfect place for a private individual/couple. Self check-in at your convenience. No interaction with me (the host) if you want to get away from it all. A minimalist space. Three walls of windows allows in plenty of natural light. Wake up to the sound of birds and go to bed to the sound of crickets. Located just 4 blocks north of Main St, you're walking distance to restaurants, shops and galleries. More than happy to provide recommendations upon request.
The room is newly renovated by yours truly, I'm slowly making the updates all around the house. The yard is a challenge for this former city dweller, but I am learning. If you see me it's most likely when I'm weeding. Furniture include a full size, firm bed (in replacement of the former futon bed), two armchairs, a bookcase and a coffee table. A/C and 2 giant ceiling fans to cool off and the house is shaded by 4 towering trees so it's usually 10 degrees cooler inside than the forecast temperature. A microwave, mini fridge, plates and utensils are available for use. Soap and sponge is provided for cleaning any used dishes. One parking space is available on my driveway, but there are plenty of street parking right in front and around my house.
My neighborhood is very suburban, you'll see dogs being walked, elderlies strolling and kids riding bikes on the street, cutting through a little block to get to the Memorial Park nearby (4 blocks away) or the highschool racetrack (2 blocks away). It's quiet at night, you might see some of my neighbors waving to you from their porch.
  • Nice lady! Spacious room with great back yard.

  • We had an excellent time at Vicky's place! The neighborhood was quiet enough to sleep with the windows open one night, we were walking distance from downtown and Vicky provided us with wonderful recommendations for our time in Beacon. We definitely would stay here again!

Steps from Main St, tucked cosily in the back of our home, is our bright and cheery sun room. The room has a private entrance, private bathroom, and a private deck with garden and mountain views.
Although located two blocks from Main St, the room is very quiet and peaceful. At night you can hear crickets chirping and see the stars from the large back window, deck, or yard. The recently renovated room is situated on the first floor and attached to the back of our home. It has its own private entrance, and bathroom with a deep-soaking tub. The giant window in back affords plenty of light and you will wake up to the sun rising. The room has a mini fridge and though there's no kitchen or tv, there are many restaurants and pubs just steps away. **We have three children three and under and you will be able to hear them at times. It borders a thick exterior wall and we have soundproofed the door that leads to the guest room. Guests have told us our place was quiet compared to their apartment but just so you know, if you are opposed to this it may not be the right place for you!
Our place is in the middle of everything: we are just steps from Main Street where there are coffee shops, farm-to-table restaurants, craft beer pubs, and vintage stores. It's a 20-minute walk to the Metro North station with trains leaving nearly every hour for Grand Central Terminal (the trip takes about 90 minutes). Other places of note: 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk to Dia:Beacon museum, Mt Beacon, and the trails along the river. 10-minute drive to Breakneck Ridge. 25-minute drive to Storm King across the Hudson river.
  • We had a lovely time. The room was really nice - just perfect for our needs: simple, sparse and quiet. Her suggestions were very helpful. In fact, we went to several of the cafes she recommended later in our trip.

  • Larysa has created such a cozy and sweet space. Its incredibly clean and welcoming. I can’t say enough good things about it.

    Collin2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa was a great host! The place was small but quiet and comfortable. The back yard was beautiful and my only regret was that I didn't have a chance to use the jacuzzi!

    Jeff2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa's place was a beautiful little spot that we throughly enjoyed for the night. Would recommend and would certainly stay again!

    Desmond2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa was very responsive and met us upon our arrival. They offer a nice binder of information, highlighting what the town of Beacon has to offer. The apartment is steps away from the town, and very accessible to get to. The room itself was very clean and simple- just what we needed to relax after a long day of exploring! We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend!

    Katie2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa's place is affordable, well located, and full of lovely amenities (an amazing bathtub with bubble bath soap, a local guide book, and a white noise machine perfect for sleeping). She was incredibly communicative and full of great advice on places to go and visit. The only suggestion I have is to maybe have a TV in the room, but overall it was a wonderful escape from the city for the weekend! Thank you, Larysa! The next time we head up to Beacon, we will keep your place in mind!

    Katherine2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Larysa and William were wonderful attentive hosts. Answered questions quickly and checked in with me from time to time. I was looking for a quiet respite from NYC for a couple days and I got it! Beacon is a very accessible town and they live very close to Main St which is a great hub of shops and restaurants. I would absolutely want to book with them in the future.

    Mae2019-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • As an AirBnB newbie, I wasn't sure what to expect coming to Larysa's this past week, but what a wonderful intro to the experience. The room was beautiful, clean, with nearly everything you could need inside, well-placed, and Larysa a most attentive host. The deck and garden were lovely for relaxing, and the conveniences and charms of Main Street right around the corner. This was the perfect refuge in Beacon, especially for someone seeking quiet and accessibility as I was – almost a destination in itself!

    Julia2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Located right off the highway near 9D, it was perfect- especially when you’re tired from driving. Upon entering for the first time Tito and Theresa welcomed us warmly and helped explain the keyless lock entry (which was great because we didn’t have to worry about keys!). The place had everything you could image from an iron to bandaids to fresh towels. Shout out for having a Keurig with caffeinated and decaf coffee! The bedroom was dark which was great for a weekend getaway and sleeping in some. The town of Beacon was cute and creative with a lot of great places to eat and shop small. We went to Kitchen Sink for brunch and Brothers for dinner - both were great. Would definitely recommended this Air B&B for its location and hospitality.

    Samantha2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely enjoyed my extremely short stay, will consider staying longer next time. Central and close to everything, literally 5 minutes from Main Street. The space is quaint and chill, and the amenities are beyond belief. Great with communication, I have nothing bad to say other than I wish I stayed more than 1 night in Beacon.

    Karen2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tito's place served as a great place to get cleaned up and get some sleep after a wedding before heading home the next day. Great ease and hospitality! Thank you for a great stress free stay!

  • I had a great stay at Patricia's house. I got in a bit late and they were still up and gave me instructions for use of the room and house. The room itself was spacious and clean.

  • Staying with Patricia was extremely pleasant. My girlfriend and I could not possibly express how much of a delight it was to stay with Patricia and her family. Patricia and her family, who you will likely meet are pleasant, caring, and helpful. We wanted to go hiking up Mount Beacon and she not only drove us to the not so touristy trail on the backside of the mountain but supplied us with hiking boots without batting an eye. She gave us full recommendations on all of the dining establishments but also on all of the things to be seen. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and I will certainly be planning my next trip up around being able to stay with her again. THANKS PATRICIA!

Panoramic Hudson River views; steps from DIA, the train, and a few blocks from Main St. Beacon. An elegant quiet Queen bedroom with 5 Wedding Dresses canopy, Shared pink marble bath and Shared kitchenette. Relax and dine on the deck, with nothing but Long Dock Park between you and the Hudson River and miles of hills. Recently renovated with creative touches of local artist host.
This second floor has fabulous views, and is usually a shared space. The second floor has a separate entrance up the riverside deck stairs.
Very residential neighborhood, a walk down the street is plenty of views. It's quiet, although you can hear the trains pass. It is not suitable for loud parties, but nice civilized dinners or drinks are a great pleasure here.
  • Dev’s a wonderful host! The house was well appointed with all the comforts you need, plus helpful tips about the area.

    Dana2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Dev is kind, accommodating and flexible. During our stay, she provided great tips for places to go, made freshly-baked breakfast, and was perfectly respectful of our privacy while being very welcoming. Her home is unique and thoughtfully decorated, has a beautiful view of the river and is a roughly 5-minute walk from the Dia:beacon and train station, 10 minutes from Main Street. I would gladly stay here again.

    Nina2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent view! Dev has great local recommendations, and her dog was super cute.

    Monica2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • The room is really beautiful and artfully decorated, with a breathtaking view across the Hudson. Dev keeps her place sparkling clean, and she greeted us with freshly baked banana bread! The bathroom and kitchen are shared, but Dev is very respectful of guests’ privacy. We had a lovely visit and hope to come back again in the future.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Dev’s over 4th ofJuly and had a wonderful time. Dev was an incredibly hospitable and accommodating host - her home was conscious and she had food for us in her pantry. Her home was absolutely stunning with a beautiful view overlooking the Hudson. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Beacon !

This is an early 1900's workers' house with charming original pine floors and lots of light. We are prepping for renovation so house is super clean and *very minimally* furnished. Lots of space to spread out free of clutter. You can eat tomatoes and beans from back garden and eat in the back yard with fireflies.
This house is small and humble with a big heart. It has original pine floors that have mellowed to a honey brown and show every ding and scratch from 100 years. (So please tread lightly.) There are two small bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a living room and open, loftlike kitchen. There is a backyard with garden and places to sit. In the front is another overgrown garden. The back porch is just for passing through and front porch is a good place to leave boots, etc.
Main St. has bars of all kinds, cafes, galleries and all necessities. The house is walking distance from the train and river if you are in reasonably good shape. There is a farmers market and Flea Market on Sunday mornings a block and a half away. Just go out the back fence and turn left on Dewindt.
  • Elise’s house is a perfect spot to stay. It is very clean and comfortable. Further, it is very close to many stores and restaurants. We very much enjoyed our stay and felt safe! The price was reasonable as well. I would 100% recommend staying here.

    Amanda2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little house with character. Pretty much as described. Central location. Bus stop to train station about 4 blocks away.

    Gladys2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Overall decent. Upstairs is very comfortable. Downstairs was spacious. I didn’t spend much time in the house, so if looking for a solid place to sleep comfortably, this is it.

    Naquore2019-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Elise's cozy home was very clean and it was great, because I was able to bring my air beds and make it my own. The kitchen was perfect for icing, decorating and storing the wedding cake I need to put together for my nephew. The counter space was clean and huge along with the fridge. The rooms were a good size and clean and comfortably cool. The location was amazing walking distance to Main St. Dining, café, bakeries and more! Great quiet neighborhood.

    Brenda2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute little house, with a little coffee table to eat at and most things you need in a kitchen. Nice garden space in the backyard too!

    Wendy2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Good, good, very good!

    Jack2018-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it! We are authors and we were in town on a Research Trip, so we were really only at the house sleeping and showering; but it is a lovely home with great back garden! Elise was great about staying touch as well. Highly Recommend! Note: The house is very minimally furnished; but, as previously stayed, we were gone most of the time, so that didn’t bother us at all.

    Lynn2018-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Elise's house is cozy and very clean! We loved it so much. Everything you need nearby, grocery, restaurants and nice shops. Quite at night. Highly recommended!

The Brown room is located in Beacon Bamboo Forest (BBF), a colonial house built in the 1900s. It is situated in the City of Beacon, Dutchess County, New York, and in the heart of up and coming Beacon. The upper story of BBF, with new hardwood floors, has charming 3 bedrooms with a common bath. PLEASE NOTE that only two out of the three rooms are rented out and that I live in the third room. The Brown Room has a queen size real bed with an awesome mattress. The main floor features a kitchen, dining room, living room and an enchanting rustic yard with bamboo growing tall, beautiful and magnificent. The house has an old world charm to it. Walk to galleries, antique stores, restaurants, bars and cafes along Main Street, the amazing waterfall in the east and the Hudson on the west. Easy access to the Metro North Train Station that takes you into Manhattan, NYC. Bring your novel, laptop or newspaper and lounge in cafes, or just walk around in the fresh mountain air. There are great hiking trails all around including one leading to Mount Beacon. Visit charming nearby Cold Spring, Garrison and other waterfront cities/towns a few miles from Beacon, and accessible by car and the Metro north. Minimum stay of two nights at the weekend For single or double occupancy of each room: $75 per night on week nights (Monday-Thursday) $85 per night at the weekends (Friday-Sunday) Check in: 2 pm Check out: 12 pm
  • The room was perfect for a weekend 'getaway' to Beacon. The room is the perfect size for two people, Jessica's home is warm and inviting, and Jessica herself is incredibly sweet and easy to communicate with. I would happily stay here again. She was extremely accommodating and house rules are clear and simple to follow. House is very clean! I'm a bit bummed I didn't hang out in the backyard with the bamboo, but there's a great view of the stalks from the west-facing window. Located right off of a very nice stretch of Main St with plenty of food, shopping and gallery options around, the locations is easy to get to from the train (a 15-20 min walk, or a quick taxi ride). I highly recommend Poppy's Burgers for lunch or dinner, Homespun for breakfast and the flea market on S Chestnut on Sunday. The walk to Dia:Beacon is scenic (about 20-30 min walk) and the falls over by the Roundhouse and The Hop on the east end of Main St are worth visiting.

    Asha2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Right off Main street about a 20 minute walk from Dia. Very pleasant and welcoming host. Small but comfortable place. Had a very nice stay and enjoyed Jessica's suggestions.

    Daniel2014-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica is a very accommodating host, who makes you feel at home and makes sure you're comfortable. The house is in excellent location in Beacon for anyone who wants to explore the town, DIA, or surrounding areas. I stayed for over a month while I was searching for my own place, and Jessica was most helpful, and very easy to communicate with.

    Natalia2016-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great!

    Charles2018-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica was great. She did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. It was my girlfriend and my anniversary and she got us a present and let us check out late if we wanted. Jessica is a top notch host.

    Austin2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I visited Beacon, NY over the weekend for her birthday. Jessica made us feel very welcome and we absolutely loved our stay. She even made my girlfriend and I a birthday breakfast, complete with an amazing homemade dessert. We were really impressed with our stay here and will definitely try to stay with Jessica when we eventually return. The town is perfect for a weekend getaway from NYC - it's right off metro north. Jessica's home is about a 15-20 minute walk. It's in a really great location. There are some great coffee and brunch spots as well as boutiques, wine shops, and a distillery that's worth checking out. Beacon also has a good arts scene with Dia and other galleries. We hiked up Mt. Beacon and recommend that as well. If you're headed to Beacon, you should definitely stay with Jessica.

    Michael2015-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed 5 weeks in this room and it was great. Jessica is a really great host and over the 5 weeks we had some really good conversations. The room itself is great to and the decoration is nice. The neighborhood might look kind of shady at first sight, but it is a really good neighborhood. Also the location is great, because you are so close to Main Street and you can walk to the train, which takes you to NYC, in about 15-20 minutes. I would totally recommend staying in this room with Jessica.

    Andreas2015-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Stay at Jessica's! She was waiting for us when we arrived to give us a tour of her beautiful space. Her style is incredible, and she periodically checked in just to make sure we were having a good time. The location itself really can't be beat - we biked from the train station to her place in a matter of minutes. Definitely the place for pedestrians to stay!

Super sunny 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment near Main St in Beacon. This is a full, proper 1 bedroom apartment with a separate eat-in kitchen, living room and full bathroom. The bed is a queen and the sofa in the living room can sleep an additional person. The house is a 6 minute walk to Main St, a 16 minute walk to the Mt Beacon trailhead and a 24 min walk to the train station. It's a perfect spot to explore Beacon!
I bought this house fairly recently (February 2018). There are 4 units in the building. 2 of them have regular monthly tenants and 2 units are on Airbnb. The building is a short walk to Main St, where all the shops & restaurants are. It's also quite close to Mt Beacon, which has excellent hiking and views. The house is also directly on the new Beacon Loop Bus route, which takes you from the Beacon train station, up Main St, to Mt Beacon, and to Dia. You can ask the driver to drop you off right in front of the house (and you can also flag it down from the front sidewalk as well)
This house is just three doors down from Beacon Daily, one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in the entire Hudson valley. They have a lovely patio too. The house is a short walk from Main St (7 min according to Google maps). This end of Main St is near the Roundhouse and the famous Beacon falls, as well as many galleries and restaurants (feel free to ask for suggestions). It's a fairly long walk from the train station, but hopefully you're not going there too often :)
  • Such a great experience! We were in the area for work training. Graham was very prompt w responses, and even stopped by with extra pots and pans. The apartment was very clean and we really have no complaints. The location was great for us- just 15 min from work. Had several amenities- blow drier, body wash, shampoo. He even provided face wipes for us.

A Lovely, Sunny furnished room (basic) in the heart of Beacon. 1 block from Main St, near ALL restaurants, shopping, galleries and 10 minute walk to Train Station, also near major highway. Come visit!
Rest of house contains:Comfy living room, antique dining room, 1 1/2 bathroom, ceiling fans, AC available. And laundry on premises. Kitchen available for cooking. No smoking please. • Patricia’s home was in a great location, and she was accommodating to our late arrival and departure. Overall, we felt like the rest of the house outside of our room did not feel super open to us as guests. Patricia is very sweet and gave us good suggestions for the neighborhood.

Full of natural light and warm wood, this is a really happy house with a gorgeous view of Mount Beacon from East-facing windows. The upstairs bathroom is huge (it used to be a bedroom) with stand-alone tub and spacious shower. Charming back yard features a pergola with mature grape vines, a young apple tree and a tree swing.
Decor in the house is minimalist -- good for your mental space! The main bedroom is mostly unfurnished and has a very comfortable AirWeave futon (less than a year old) that can be easily folded away, allowing the space to be used as a gym/yoga/meditation room. Second (kids') bedroom is space themed, with bunk beds.
There's so much green space, but cafes, shops, and restaurants are on your doorstep. Walk to Main Street, Mount Beacon, DIA Beacon, Madame Brett Park, or the Hudson River waterfront -- avoid the need to find parking in this very popular town.
  • Very quiet neighborhood, people are friendly, and food is good. This is a house full of sunshine, we had a great time.

    Siqiao2019-08-12T00:00:00Z

It had everything you would need, small kitchen for coffee in the morning, comfortable bed and clean space! Our check-in was very flexible and the hosts were wonderful!

The ambiance was lovely and there were many nice touches and amenities, we ended up spending quite a bit more time than expected in the space because we were so comfortable. Catherine & Greg were welcoming and friendly, and had great suggestions about what to do with our two days in Beacon. We had a lovely visit and will definitely be back!

Spacious cottage with access to a big back yard with fruit trees and vegetable garden beds, walking distance from the train and Main street. The cottage also functions as a photo gallery for the photographer Gil Gofer, presenting several images from his work around the world.
The cottage has a beautiful bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, toaster oven and a coffee maker), dining table, new queen size bed, desk area and a couch. There is internet access and a TV/DVD (no cable, but a collection of DVDs). The cottage is very bright and airy, with 2 ceiling fans and 6 windows. The cottage is best suitable for a couple, or for a couple with a baby (pack and play available upon request).
Mount beacon and several other hikes, Dia Beacon, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, shops, the river all are within few minutes walk or drive.
  • Eli and Taly were exceptionally lovely, kind, informative, and relaxed hosts. Their cottage is beautiful, serene, and magical, and so well kept. The cottage is spacious and sun-drenched with a beautiful bathroom and comfy bed and couch. We absolutely loved staying here and wish we could have stayed longer. Can't say enough good things about the cottage, our hosts, and beautiful Beacon.

  • My boyfriend and I wanted a little weekend getaway from the city so we headed up to Beacon and I am so glad we found Eli and Taly's place because it was perfect! It's walking distance from the Metro North station, Dia:Beacon and Main Street. The Cottage is set back from their house so even though we saw them a couple of times, we felt like we had our own place. The Cottage had all the amenities we needed (like coffee!) and I really appreciated the info they provided about restaurants and hiking (which is what we were there for). We had a great stay and I really loved Beacon! It's such a cute town and perfect for getting out of the city but not actually going that far. We'll definitely be back!

Street-level private entrance to a mini studio apartment just off Main St. in Beacon's west end. Pristine interior and a 15 minute walk from Metro North or plenty of street parking available. We live upstairs.
Private one bedroom mini apartment with queen size bed, TV, white noise machine and kitchen with table and chairs and bathroom with shower. The kitchen has a microwave but no oven. There is also no range hood so guests must limit the cooking to boiling and steaming and refrain from frying or sauteing. Although there is a washer and dryer in the bathroom they are not for use by guests.
Usually quiet residential neighborhood just off Main Street close to galleries, coffee shops and shopping. In addition to an active visual art scene, Beacon now has an equally vibrant music scene with all kinds of music available on any given night at numerous venues in town including The Towne Crier, Quinn's, Dogwood, Chill Wine Bar and others.
  • A wonderful place to stay just minutes from Main Street in Beacon. You have a cute, clean, and convenient place to stay. It's a short walk from the Metro North train station and Dia Beacon. David is a hospitable friendly host who even grinds you fresh coffee for the morning. Bottom line: if you're in Beacon, this is a great choice to stay. I would recommend wholeheartedly without qualification.

  • Eleni and David were perfect hosts, and their apartment could not have been better- right off of the main location, plenty of street parking, all the amenities you could need, and it was impeccably clean. Among the best AirBNB experiences I've had.

  • We had an amazing time in Beacon at David and Eleni's apartment. It was very centrally located - we could walk from the train station and to anywhere else we wanted to go (hiking, shopping, eating, drinking, Dia Beacon). The apartment was clean and cute, and provided everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and very responsive, and they brought us fresh ground coffee! Highly recommend this place.

  • Eleni and David’s place was great! Exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and David was there to greet us and answer any questions we had. We got a great night’s sleep and got the weekend escape from NYC we were hoping for. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay David and Eleni!

    Philip2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Eleni & David's private apartment is perfect in every way. It is obvious they put much detailed care & thought into offering their guests an ideal stay. The apartment is quite lovely, very clean, comfortable with fine towels, linens, & rugs. It is a very quiet, completely private and peaceful. The location is beyond perfect. One short block from the village and the best restaurant for breakfast in town~the French cafe/restaurant The Beacon Bread Company. Eleni & David are good kind people. It was lovely to stay in their space where these two professional artists (a painter with a gallery uptown and fine cabinet maker) have built and decorated the space with their work. We chose Eleni & David's apartment in Beacon even though it is a 40 minute drive to the town we were visiting during our 3 day stay. Staying at their private apartment in Beacon made the drive worth it, so much so that if their apartment is available when we return to the area it will be our 1st choice.

    Teresa Addison2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Eleni and David were great and very welcoming. Highly recommend staying with them - ESPECIALLY on the second weekend of the month. Beacon has a great Second Saturday and all the galleries are open late & have wine and snacks for visitors. So fun!

  • David was great - very responsive, accommodating of our arrival time, and just the right amount of friendly while also leaving us to our own devices. The apartment was super cute and homey. • Graham's place was great, and in a fantastic location. It was much larger than I expected, was sparkling clean and very well kept. We had a mishap with the shower not draining, but we we're only there one night, so it wasn't a big issue. As soon as I let Graham know, he offered to come over with some draino, but we opted to just let it go for the one night. Overall, it was a great stay and I would return.

  • We stayed here for two nights in summer weather as a home base to explore the surrounding area. The apartment is updated, clean and uncluttered. The amenities were all of the basics that we needed including a coffee maker, nice kitchen, AC and ceiling fans to keep cool. On the same block is a good lunch spot called “Stock up”. Perfect to grab a bite right after checking out before hitting the road.

The room is furnished with a queen bed, a nightstand, a chest of drawers, a chair, and an open built in closet. Guests also have access to shared areas including the front porch and the backyard.
Just 60 miles north of NYC along the Hudson River, you’ll find Beacon, a charming-and-hip small city with a population of under 20,000. Home to the renowned contemporary art museum Dia: Beacon, which opened in 2003, it has attracted crowds of artists, writers, filmmakers, designers, young couples looking to start families and veteran entrepreneurs. Beacon, an industrial and historic town once known for manufacturing textiles, hats and boxes, has a vibrantly growing and diverse community, and myriad new businesses continue to open shop in the historic buildings on Main Street. Through the influx of galleries, craft beer breweries, organic food shops and more, the town has harmoniously kept its industrial character while also preserving the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley. • JJ's place was fantastic; perfectly located near Main St, comfy bed, nice porch to sit on, and a cute dog. I had a relaxing time and would stay here again.

  • JJ and Justin made my weekend in Beacon with my girlfriend an amazing one. Their home was charming and conveniently located, their recommendations were spot on, and their hospitality exceeded our expectations. We took advantage of the bikes they made readily available- a great way to explore Beacon. Would recommend this listing to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

    Ben2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's house was in a great location for a wedding weekend at the Roundhouse in Beacon. Our hosts happened to be out of town during our stay, but were always available for questions and were quick with responses. We were able to make ourselves at home without issue, and found the house to be very comfortable, even during hot weather. It's a quick cab ride from the train station, but also a very enjoyable and manageable mile walk downhill back. Beacon never fails to charm, and places like this only add to the experience.

    Rich2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in this lovely home, would stay here again!

    Philippe2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • JJ and Justin gave us a stellar experience for the weekend trip that my girlfriend and I took to Beacon. We weren't too familiar with the area and didn't have a car so wanted to make sure we stayed somewhere that was walkable to all the fun stores and shops on Main Street and this home fits that mold exactly. It's about a 4 minute walk to Main Street and right around the corner from several bars, restaurants and beautiful scenery. Needless to say the location was fantastic, but let me tell you about the home itself: JJ and Justin renovated this place with their own hands and you can tell how much work and thoughtfulness went into every detail. Not only was the home (and our bedroom) sparkling clean, but it smelled heavenly. My partner and I took the train up to Beacon and were planning on walking over to the home, but Justin came by and picked us up! Talk about hospitality. On top of that, JJ left us a bottle of wine which we enjoyed late at night while lazily rocking back and forth on the porch. As folks from Brooklyn, the peace and stillness of a Beacon porch was exactly what we were looking for this weekend. Let me also give a shoutout to Boro, their very sweet and cuddly little dog that didn't make a single sound and was the best bellboy a guy can ask for. Towels were set aside for our use, there was a huge closet for us to hang our items in and an A/C to keep us cool at night. The two bathrooms meant that we never needed to wait or cause a traffic jam. My partner and I seriously can't wait to come back to Beacon, and when we do, we're definitely staying here again. The value, hospitality and ambiance of JJ & Justin's lovely home truly made our weekend a wonderful getaway from the city.

  • Such a clean and well-cared for home. Really great location and good communication!

    Astrid2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and Justin are very caring hosts. The place is newly renovated. Bed is perfect. Kitchen has everything. You can borrow a bicycle which is great to explore some nice places around and visit Dia. The main street and restorands on it are in walking distance. And you can just walk to Beacon Mountain and enjoy beautiful view over Hudson River.

    Ales2019-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and Justin's place is in an absolutely ideal location, just a few blocks' walk into what is essentially the "midpoint" of Beacon's Main Street (so it is easy to get to anything on the River or Mountain side of town). It was very nicely kept, the room was charming and the bed was comfortable, and they even left us a bottle of wine as a "welcome." Their home is unique and beautifully renovated (by them) but with a lot of original touches. We only got to meet them briefly, but they were great hosts and very communicative.

Charming and cozy mini basement apartment with a private entrance, west end of Beacon. Steps from historic Main Street, shopping and Metro North train station. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Private one bedroom mini basement apartment with Full size bed, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. The wet bar has a microwave but no oven. The wet bar has a portable sink design with bleach added for sanitizing, which is only to be used to wash dishes and discard liquid. However all other running water is drinkable. There is also hot plate, there is no hood so guests must limit the cooking to boiling and steaming and refrain from frying or sauteing. The ceiling is thin and you will hear guest upstairs during normal hours, put on some background music that helps a lot.
Quiet residential neighborhood just off Main Street close to galleries, coffee shops and shopping. In addition to an active visual art scene, Beacon now has an equally vibrant music scene with all kinds of music available. Not suitable for parties. Only quiet guests who would like to take advantage of the fabulous dining, arts, hiking and shopping that Beacon has to offer. -- You can walk everywhere--
  • We were Mirtek's second guests. He was very responsive to our questions although we did not have the pleasure of meeting him. This is a great location and comfortable. We loved the proseco and the toiletries! He's on his way to being a great host.

    Robin2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time! Micol was quick to respond, and was kind enough to leave a complimentary bottle! It was clean and very comfortable. There is plenty of space for street parking, and the neighbors are very nice. This place is only a block away from main street, and there is tons of great food and drinks nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Great water pressure. Place is a spitting image of photographs shown. Lovely and fun heating options for both living area and bathroom. Comfortable bed, good light from multiple windows and great location for walking everything Beacon. Place has the welcome mats that I enjoy even in my own home. Good choice.

    Karen2018-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Mirtek’s place is comfortable and has a great location!

    Bethany2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Beacon. Mirtek's place is lovely, exactly as described. The location is super convenient, right off of Main Street. There is also a helpful guest manual that has information about the apartment and things to do in Beacon.

    Alexandra2019-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mirtek's apartment was very convenient, less than a 5 minute walk to Main Street with all the attractions. Well worth staying for the prime location close to bars/restaurants. Only set-back is the thin walls, as you can hear the upstairs neighbor. Overall, a nice spot for a quick Beacon getaway.

    Jessie2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as advertised. The upstairs residents were very friendly and the apartment was very clean. Thanks for a great stay!

    Jonah2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed at many Air Bnbs that we rated as 5 stars. We can not rate this one more than 3 stars overall. It is a basement converted into an apartment under a dilapidated house. It is close to the Main Street of Beacon and it has a nice shower. We ended up sleeping one person on the double bed and one on the couch as the bed’s mattress was so soft two people rolled to the middle in a lump all night. It has no potable water in the kitchen and a drainage problem in the bathroom sink.

Very private cottage located less than 2 blocks from Main Street. Walk to the train, DIA Beacon, and Main Street galleries and restaurants in minutes. entrance allows guests to come and go freely. Guests also have their own private patio area complete with Adirondack chairs. Please note that smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
Only a block and a half from Main Street and within easy walking distance to Metronorth, our cozy cottage makes for a perfect weekend retreat in fabulous Beacon, NY. The cottage is in our backyard, and while right in the middle of Beacon, is very private. The yard is fully fenced, and guests can come and go freely from a separate entrance. The cottage has a bathroom, kitchenette (with fridge, microwave, sink and toaster), double bed, and a twin size daybed. There is a TV/DVD but no internet access. We do not have cable, but have supplied the cottage with a nice collection of DVDs for guest use. The cottage is very light and airy, with lots of windows and a skylight. The bed is a new firm memory foam mattress. Memory Foam is different from box spring mattresses, and some folks take time to adjust to them. But for most, they are incredibly comfortable! The space is best for a solo traveler, couple, or for a small family. It cannot comfortably accommodate 3 adults. Beacon is only an hour and a half drive north of New York City, and an easy 80 minute ride on Metronorth's Hudson Line. Beacon is a fabulous little town with excellent shopping, museums (DIA Beacon), great restaurants and coffee shops, and even our own music venues! There is also incredible hiking in the area, including Mount Beacon & Breakneck Ridge. We are also only 20 minutes from Storm King Arts Center. The train and DIA Beacon are only a 10 minute walk from our house, and Main Street is literally around the corner, making our cottage a perfect retreat for a car-less NYC getaway. For those with cars, there is ample on-street parking. The cottage is fully heated, and can be rented year-round. We also have AC for hot summer nights, though we find the cottage cools down pretty substantially at night and is great for sleeping just with windows and fans.
Walk to DIA, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, Long Dock Park and the River Park..... It is all a stones throw from our home.
  • We had a great weekend at the cottage. Lovely little town, great food, great hiking, awesome museum. Rachel was very kind and helpful and the place was very clean, comfy, and accessible. I highly recommend!

    Samantha2014-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was very friendly and welcoming and gave us all the suggestions we wanted for food and music. The cottage was just as advertised and perfect for us and easy walking to everything. Beacon is a great town. We loved seeing Dia again as well as jazz at Quinn's and karaoke at Max's - Maurice absolutely nailed New York New York.

    Debbie2015-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • R's cottage is really cozy and charming. I had a really peaceful stay. There's a comfortable bed and nights are very quiet. The skylight detail adds to its charm. R was very quick to help me with a request and got back to me quickly whenever I had a question. I strongly recommend her place if you're considering spending some time in Beacon.

    Patricia2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect cabin to explore Beacon from! Close to Main Street which essentially contains any place you would want or need to go in Beacon! It's quite, clean and modern, has all the essentials you'd need for a weekend trip. Sidenote: We drove and found it was easy to park by the house & free to park anywhere in the town. Great weekend!

    Ashley2015-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's private cottage was lovely! My girlfriend and I stayed in Beacon for a long weekend and it was just perfect for us. It's a perfect location especially if you do not have a car. It's a block off of main street with good eats, cafes, shops & art. It is walking distance to the Metro North station and to DIA Beacon. These walks are a bit longer and a little tricky the first time because you cut through the police station parking lot. But once you've figured out the route, the walk is pretty easy with sidewalks the whole way. It's also a $7 cab ride from each location so not too bad either way. Rachel was a very responsive host with quick replies to any and all needs. At the same time, she gave us complete privacy. It really did feel like our own little get away. The cottage was clean, bright and inviting with coffee and tea to keep us warm on the icy nights. The bed is super comfy and the cool movie collection was a bonus. My girlfriend and I just loved the town of Beacon - great mix of art, food, shops and nature. We want to return in Spring and would definitely consider staying at Rachel's cottage again.

  • this cottage is super cute and clean (that skylight is so lovely), and has a fantastic location right off the main drag. it was about 90 degrees when we were there, so i wished there was AC, but it had 2 ceiling fans and an excellent smaller fan, and i very much appreciated those fans.

  • Rafiqua was very helpful with directions around town and the place is very comfortable. We liked peeking out at the garden during our stay and seeing all the things she grows in the back! All the little notes, booklets, and snacks she left for us were a step above and showed us a lot of attentiveness. Highly recommended!

    Lance2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay with Rafiqua. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights to do some local apple picking and hiking. Easy 10 minute walk into town. Totally private space tucked away on her garden. Shower had great pressure and hot water. The space was spotless. Little kitchen was perfect to heat up tea or keep leftovers cold from a restaurant Very Quiet. Easy to adjust AC or Heat. Comfortable bed and linens. Rafiqua was very welcoming and it was a great stay.

It's super clean with more amenities than we expected. We had privacy while still gettting assistance whenever needed. The space is a few minutes walk to the Main Street. I'd highly recommend staying here!!

    Angie2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Rafiqua and Dan’s place is more than sufficient for a weekend stay. It is Just a short walk away from Main Street. Also walkable from Dia and the train station. The space is really big! She has plenty of extra space for you to stretch out besides the bedroom including couches, dinner table, extra bed, closet, etc. There were good books to read and plenty of hiking maps for the surrounding area. We were left cute snacks and had fresh water and tea. The heating was superb and though it was really cold outside we were extremely comfortable. Rafiqua is a very sweet woman and creative also. She made the curtains and bedspread by hand! This was my first Airbnb experience and I was very happy!

    Robin2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • A great location within easy walk of Beacon's Main Street! Rafiqua was very accommodating and was always quick to respond.

  • My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a great trip. The house is just off Main Street, easy to walk everywhere and a great location. The house is a little older and full of character, bed was comfortable, A/C in room, bathroom was shared but just down the hall and everything was spotless. Fellow guests at the house were all very friendly. We didn’t get to meet Eileen because she was traveling when we stayed, but it was really easy to get keys and “check in.” I’d definitely recommend it!

  • My boyfriend and I spent a lovely weekend at Susan’s home in Beacon with our dog. Susan made us feel right at home, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. She even left us delicious homemade muffins and fresh fruit in the morning which we were not expecting! Location was quiet but convenient, about a 10-15 minute walk to restaurants on Main Street. Definitely a great place to stay when in Beacon!

    Sally2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and her husband were such gracious hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them and staying in their beautiful home. Delicious blueberry muffins as well. We hope to be back, thank you!

    Clarisa2018-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Susan's home, and it was such a treat to return. The rooms are sparkling clean, and the space is private and comfortable. We have found their home and location (Beacon) to be a perfect spot for visiting our daughter at Vassar College. It is only about 30 minutes to the college (on back roads), and Beacon is such a charming town. Susan's place is perfect -- just the right amount of space, very comfortable, incredibly welcoming, and a great value. Susan and Tom are great hosts & they make every effort to make the space a "home away from home". Susan offers amazing amenities -- better than any Air BnB we've stayed in. Coffee/tea, homemade muffins & fresh fruit, chargers, toiletries, etc. It is really the perfect space to spend a few days. We hope to be back next time!

    Jennifer2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and her husband's home was lovely. We loved every minute of staying with them even though it was only for a night. We had their famous blueberry muffins in the morning which were a great way to start the day. Susan and her husband were a pleasure to meet and to talk to. Will definitely plan to stay here if we come back to Beacon. Also, an uber from Susan's house to Storm King was $18. The shuttle from the Beacon station is $20 I believe. It's a perfect home to stay in Beacon if you want to explore downtown and also if you want to take a day trip to Storm King.

    Kareem2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place was great! It had everything we needed and amenities to boot! Will definitely plan to stay here again.

  • Although new to the Airbnb game, Susan showed experience through her hospitality and her kindness. Nuances like the individual coffee maker and homemade muffins made the stay very enjoyable!

  • Susan was a wonderful host. She made it so easy to feel comfortable and welcomed in her lovely home. The amenities she provides went above and beyond, and her home baked muffins were a delight to wake up to! The place is close enough to Main street for a nice stroll, and far enough to stay isolated from the hustle and bustle, as well as being close enough to the train to make it convenient. Everything you could want for a weekend escape!

Beacon is on the corner of I-84 and the Hudson River. The immediate neighborhood is residential, with amenities (Train, museum, Main St) within walking distance. The river on one side gives immediate views, walking paths, kayak rental, sailing; the mile long Main St offers Culinary Institute grad chefs, galleries and shops, and at the other end of Main are mountains with Mt. Beacon Park and some trails.
  • Dev’s place was absolutely beautiful with a great view in the back of the house. She was kind & thoughtful with everything and made it feel like our home away from home. Main Street was super close with restaurants and galleries to explore. DIA was right down the street as well. I would recommend anyone looking to enjoy Beacon to stay here.

  • Description was accurate, lodging was as expected and the host(s) were friendly, accommodating and non-intrusive.

  • What an absolutely beautiful setting and awesome house, tucked in the woods yet still in town. Beds so comfy, everything sparkling clean and quiet as well. Tricia and Steve are great hosts, welcoming and unfazed by our late arrival. We definitely look forward to returning for another Beacon adventure. Thank you for your hospitality and for making us feel at home in your home!

    Lu2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tricia was a fantastic host. The location was great, as were the accommodations! The house is very near to the train station and just a few short blocks to downtown. The room was very comfortable and every amenity had been accounted for.

    Jeffrey2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible experience overall. Tricia and Steve were extremely accommodating and kind. They provided great recommendations of things to do in the area, and were all around lovely people. The house itself was beautiful, the room we stayed in was spacious and extremely clean. We loved using the beautiful yard and amenities.

    Chelsea2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Steve and Tricia are welcoming hosts. They greeted me and my girlfriend upon our arrival and gave us a lot of great suggestions for things to do around beacon. Their house is very conveniently located right at the end of Main Street. Everything felt accessible and close by. We stayed in 1 of the 3 rooms upstairs, which was a very homey stay. The sharing of bathroom with other guests also was not a big issue.

    James2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely family home, cosy clean room. Great communication from Tricia and flexible too! Would recommend highly

    Karla2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Words can't express how lovely the stay was at Tricia and Steve's. I felt so comfortable and Tricia even let me borrow her hiking boots to take an amazing hike up Mount Beacon and Dennings Point. They gave me some great suggestions as to where to go explore and I was able to sit down and have a discussion with them over coffee on Sunday morning. I plan to bring my friends, and family, back to Beacon and hope to visit Tricia and Steve too. Thanks for a relaxing and fun weekend!

Welcome to Beacon! A short train ride from the buzz of Grand Central Station brings you to the refreshing artistic heart of the Hudson Valley. As featured on Business Insider, this one bedroom apartment is a perfect "basecamp" for making Beacon yours. Whether it's hiking, writing, kayaking, shopping, strolling, eating, drinking, gallery-hopping, exploring, retreating or just relaxing and letting Beacon and the Hudson Valley show the way, you're steps aways from it all.
This top floor one-bedroom apartment is the perfect spot to enjoy Beacon and the Hudson Valley. It's a short walk to everything Beacon has to offer and a short drive to Hudson Valley favorites like West Point, Newburgh, Rhinebeck, Storm King and Cold Spring to name a few. It's also the perfect spot to just get away, relax, do some writing, reflecting and re-grouping. Conveniently located and comfortable, this apartment is designed to make your stay in Beacon one you'll remember.
This apartment is literally steps away from the center of Main Street. Key Foods grocery store is a 3 minute walk and be sure to check-out Max's on Main just on the corner...our favorite "local." From there, you can head back towards the Hudson River or make your way down to Fishkill Creek. All that Beacon has to offer is available in either direction.
  • We could not have asked for a better experience in Beacon! We were steps from the heart of downtown, but just far enough away to be able to enjoy quiet times out on the porch. Plus, a super easy walk from Metro North, so we didn't need to worry about a car at all! The space itself was gorgeous and comfortable (and of course clean & private). It was the perfect place to recharge after exploring the town or doing some hiking. Scott & Brian were delightful hosts, and full of great recommendations for things to do in town. They love Beacon, and their home, and it shows. We highly recommend their BaseCamp for anyone else looking to enjoy their time in Beacon.

    Tom2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really fantastic place - the location, furnishings and hospitality was excellent

    Mick2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Scott's place in Beacon was just lovely. The space had everything we needed, and even included bonus local coffee ground, totes for shopping, local tips, shower stuff, nice dishes, modern tech, and more, lovely, thoughtful touches that show what a considerate and caring host Scott is. He was very communicative and available if we needed anything, even a late night Netflix emergency. The bed was comfy and the sofa bed (a trundle) was also - and we all had enough cozy bedding, and stayed nice and cool with AC one night and a lovely breeze the next. The neighborhood (and house) was very quiet, we sat on the porch and drank wine and listened to crickets. The decor was so nice too, clean and timeless-I loved the historical Beacon theme. Everything we needed was nearby, even the metronorth. It was an absolute pleasure! Can't recommend it enough.

    Emily2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's upstairs apartment is great! It's a beautiful, sunny, well-maintained and clean space. It's spacious and the bed is very comfy. The location is super, just a couple blocks off main street and a 15 minute walk (at the most) from basically all the local downtown attractions. Scott was very friendly, communicative, and gave us lots of helpful tips on local sights and hikes. All around a very smooth and pleasant Airbnb experience, we would absolutely go back if we return to Beacon.

    Cornelius2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, close to everything. Place was complete with all the amenities and extra sofa bed if necessary. Love the kitchen and self check in along with the cleanliness of the place. Would highly recommend and come back.

  • Outstanding stay in Beacon for both me and my pup. Amenities were hotel quality and hosts generosity was exceptional....garden fresh tomatoes! The space is large and accessible to all places within Beacon. I did not have a car and was able to walk to hikes, the museum, and Main Street all within 10-15 minutes. And of course for me most important is that my large pup was allowed and she had a bed and fresh bowl of water waiting for her! Thank you so much for an outstanding retreat in beacon! Will be back for sure!!

Great location — 5 min walk to DIA and about a 10 min walk to main street. Would definitely stay here again!!

  • I stayed with three more girl friends for getaway, and it became our wonderful memories. We loved this place!! House was stylish, clean and cozy, area was so much to explore, walk distance to the downtown area, lots of nature, host Nicolas and Susan were super nice. We literally couldn’t ask more!! We definitely recommend to choose this place, no doubts!!!

  • Amazing location and beautiful space. One of the bedrooms is only accessible via a ladder which was fine for us but worth noting. Also worth mentioning the main space doesn’t have blinds so if someone is staying on the pull out sofa, be prepared to wake early. If not appropriate for your stay then this is the perfect booking

  • Kim’s place was great and extremely cozy. We were ready to move in! Kim stocked the fridge with all sorts of beverages which was a great touch. She is warm and friendly and was eager to assist with anything we may have needed. The location of the apartment is perfect. Right in the middle of everything you could need and an easy walk from the train station. We look forward to staying at her spot again!

    Brittany2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • If there were an award for all time best host, Kim would win it hands down. The place was beautiful and perfectly located on Main Street - so close to so many great spots in town. Kim met us in person to check us in, saw us off, and dropped an umbrella outside the door on a morning when it was raining. Tips for places to visit in town were on point. Not to mention the cool Polaroid and treats left for us in the fridge. When you your host says “I just want you guys to have fun here” (and you do!), you know you are in the right place. We will definitely stay here again on our next stay in Beacon.

  • The location is great! It’s walking distance from all the shops which made it very convenient for a night out. The apartment itself is very clean, cute, and cozy. Four of us stayed here comfortably. The host, Kim was welcoming, warm, communicative and made sure we were taken care of. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Beacon.

    Gabriel2018-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy home. Feels like you're staying at a friend's place which might not be for everyone. I had a great time today and Tricia was a very warm host. Friday night a bunch of us hung out together and she gave me a lift to one of the places in town. The ceilings might be a little low for you in the batheoom, but I'm 6'4" and managed for a few days. Also, there was no heater in this bedroom specifically but plenty of blankets were provided and I didn't have an issue. Overall, I'd recommend this spot and would definitely come back.

Patricia is very hospitable; everything was clean and comfortable, and the house is a short walk from both the train station and Main Street. A hotel could not do better. A cozy, sun filled room in a colonial house built in the late 1800s with a serene backyard. We're a quick walk to Main St. attractions, shops, and restaurants, and a stroll away from hiking trails. Come on over and unwind in Beacon!
The room is a cozy space with a comfy bed, lots of sunshine, and a view of the backyard. The house is on a quiet, little street, but is smack dab in the middle of all the action Beacon has to offer: shops, hiking, and museums.
  • Exactly as described. Clean and perfect location- half mile to shops/ restaurants downtown and less than a mile to Mount Beacon.

Extremely well located in the heart of Beacon and yet not in a busy traffic area. The home is well appointed with very nice amenities and our room was just perfect. Extremely clean and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this host and their home.

  • I slept much better here than in many of the other places I've stayed at in Beacon. Cool girl and nice place. And the wifi was actually a full-barred signal! Most hotels can't even claim that.

    Kenneth2013-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place to stay, and a lovely host. The bed was very comfortable, and the location couldn't be better. Highly recommended!

    Vicky2014-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • The great part about this home is that it is easy to get to from the train (about a 10-15 minute walk) and if you enjoy walking, you can get to all of Beacon's sites on foot from this house (Mount Beacon, the falls, the Dia museum). We are city folk with no car so we look for that. If you stay here, definitely eat at Beacon Bagel. The everything egg bagel is the best. Also, if you want to splurge, eat at the Roundhouse. It's beautiful. While we enjoyed our stay, you should note this is an old house and is very eccentric. There is a lot of stuff everywhere! Jessica had basic breakfast foods in the kitchen for us, which was really nice. She also has a tv with a lot of dvds to choose from. I do think the room is overpriced compared to others on airbnb in the area but I can't complain too much because I enjoyed my first trip to Beacon so much. It's such a fun little town.

    Taylor2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica and her home were friendly, casual and casual just like the town itself. Her home was in the perfect location (less than a block off main st!) to explore Beacon from. She was great with recommendations and advice and was a wonderful resource in discovering a town we loved!

  • All of the reviews about Jessica are true! Her place is clean and welcoming, and in a great location for folks that do not have a car. All of the house guidelines were clearly laid out and I had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I look forward to staying with Jessica again!

  • Jessica's place is very well situated, right off the Main Street is restaurants and bars. We stayed for the weekend and really enjoyed the proximity to hiking trails and being able to go out in the evening. Jessica was very communicative--would recommend!

  • Jessica has a really cool house with her own artwork on the walls and in a great location virtually on main street. This is great for anyone who wants to be close to restaurants, bars and cafes. It’s a lovely 20 minute walk to Dia:Beacon. The room itself was simple but everything we needed. Jessica was very friendly and hospitable, offering flexible check-in, access to a coffee machine and some fridge space with some breakfast basics. Jessica and her partner were at home for most of our stay and very happy to help us with questions. Thanks for a great stay in Beacon!
