The Casa do Paúl offers a cozy studio, resulting from a restored old haystack. Located in a typical Portuguese village, fully equipped, it is ideal for couples who enjoy nature, comfort and tranquility.
“Casa do Paul is absolutely spectacular. The space is very relaxing, comfortable furnishings with a stunning wall-to-wall window overlooking nature. Dulce kindly provided all necessities for breakfast including ham, cheese, eggs, milk, juice, yogurt and fresh bread delivered daily; it was an excellent way to start each day. The location is quite remote, meaning an evening drive is required to go out for meals. However, this location is very near the start of the Paiva river walkways which is convenient. We highly recommend!”
Casa da Corga is located in the quiet village of Vila Cova, a 5-minute drive from the Passadiços de Paiva, 15 minutes from the center of Arouca and about 30 minutes by car from Serra da Freita. It is also possible, through the village of Castelo de Paiva, to visit the river Douro and the island of loves and São Domingos da Queimada (30 minutes).
“Corga's House is a beautiful house, equipped with everything to make us feel right at home. The house sits in a secluded and tranquil hillside and, after enjoying our first meals looking over the green forest canopy, we immediately regretted having to leave the next day. As advertised, Casa da Corga is only a few minutes away from Paiva Walkways, and is also perfectly located to access the awesome Arouca Geopark. Manuel is an excellent host, who gave us a warm welcome and provided us with lots of useful tips about the best way to enjoy all that the region has to offer. Thank you Manuel for everything, we look forward to come back to Casa da Corga. Casa da Corga is a beautiful house, equipped with everything to make us feel at home. House of Bichaca, resulting from the restoration of an old barn, is inserted in a quiet and serene area, where you can enjoy the sounds of nature and enjoy the magnificent views of the slopes that surround the river Paiva. Between the rustic walls, offers each visitor, unique moments of reunion with the beautiful nature. Excellent place to relax, go for walks, breathe fresh mountain air ...
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the house. One of our youngsters was very surprised about the wifi connection with the good quality and high speed at such a remote place. The walk to the creek down the way was amazing; beautiful nature, flowers en crystal clear, fresh water. It was strenuous because of the steep path and high temperatures but very rewarding. We could reflect on our stay in the shadowy garden and in the hammock.”
