A warm, cozy cottage, close to fishing, berry picking and hunting grounds The cottage is located in a village of 4 permanent residents called Äijäjoki, there are several cottages in the village. The cottage, actually a house, has been somewhat renovated but still needs a little bit of work, but it feels cozy, like a granny's house. Right next to the house there is a river that can be seen from the terrace of the outdoor sauna, the Rajajoki river is nearby. The rent includes linen, snowshoes and forest boots for four, as well as sleds and kick sleds.

The windows offer an unobstructed view of the surrounding nature. In winter, snowy mountain landscapes and in summer, Cahkaljoki flows along the edge of the plot. There is a tourism company (Kilpissafarit) in Kilpisjärvi, where you can rent recreational equipment or participate in a snowmobile safari, for example.

It is easy to make day trips from the cottage to, for example, Pyhäkerro and other nearby fells and nature trails, as well as to Norway. In spring, it's a short distance, about 300 metres, to the wonderful Tunturi trails. Extensive interior renovation completed in April 2026.
