Waterfront holiday rentals in Elk Rapids

My partner and I’s stay at Jeffrey and Holly’s suite was outstanding. The space felt incredibly homely, with cozy decor and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was spotless and well-equipped with snacks, coffee, beach amenities, you name it - and we loved using their kayaks for exploring Silver Lake. They were friendly and provided smooth check-in instructions. The price for the area far beats any hotel we could have booked considering how comfortable, clean, and private the unit was. As other reviews said, mechanical noises and footsteps can be heard, but this did not bother us at all. We loved this unit so much, we will probably check the availability for our next trip to TC. This was hands down the best AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

We had a great time, definitely a cozy stay, enjoyed the paddleboat, our kids lived being on the lake as well. we recommend this guest suite and look forward to staying again!

Linda’s place was extremely clean, nice and cozy. Her place was just as described and she added all the amenities I needed for my stay. I liked that she was personable and paid attention to detail. I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Daphne & Will's gorgeous home. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement – their space was filled with tasteful decorations, thoughtful touches, and high-quality finishes and furnishings. There was no way we could use every amenity available on a short 3-day stay, but that's all the more reason to come back and enjoy the space again sometime in the future. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace, view of the trees and lake, and comfy sofa – perfect for a relaxing trip. Will and Daphne struck the perfect balance of responsiveness, giving space, and friendliness. Airbnb perfection.

We were thrilled to find a last minute cancellation at this hidden gem for our labor day weekend trip! Kathy's directions were very thorough. The best part was that she included the use of all of her water toys in the rental - there were two stand-up paddle boards, numerous kayaks and a big rectangular floating pad that the kids loved. The biggest island in the center of Spider Lake is a very doable paddle from there. This property faces north on the lake which is the perfect vantage point to see the Aurora Borealis if the conditions are right, which they were for our time! This has been on my bucket list, so I am beyond thrilled! The stars are amazing too! We all felt comfortable inside and my husband said he had one of the best sleeps he's had in a long time. The kids loved the loft beds. We just wish that the spiders of Spider Lake weren't so abundant on the docks, so our arachnophobic girls could relax more, but there's not much that could have been done about them.

Had a great stay at this place in Traverse City! The home was clean, cozy, and just as described. It had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect for exploring the area. The host was very responsive and made check-in super easy. Would definitely stay here again!

It was a great place to stay while we were in town for a wedding! Seems to be the perfect jumping off point for so many wonderful areas in northern Michigan! Sparkling clean and fresh, loved it!

We were in town for the Bayshore Marathon, and this was a great spot! Views of the Bay, walkable to downtown TC. Quiet street. Comfy and clean space. Thoughtful touches throughout. Highly recommend!

The hosts were very responsive and communicative. The AC kind of went out and the hosts promptly got someone out to fix it. The setting was beautiful! We enjoyed a couple days on the boat (Northaire rentals), then did day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island and then a down day with the kayaks and SUP. My husband enjoyed fishing off the Dockside Pier. We enjoyed ice cream at Moomers, local cider at Royal Farms and our best meal at Toonie’s for Friday fish fry. Us southerners should have been better prepared for colder water and later seasons. The longer days also threw us for a loop but still a great first trip to Michigan!

The house was beautiful and perfect for our group. Convenient location for a day in traverse city but was a quiet and peaceful retreat to come back to. Host was very responsive and helpful! We would definitely consider coming back if we visit this area again.

Carrie was an amazing host from booking the reservation to making sure check out was a breeze. She was so accommodating and friendly, I felt like I was talking with a friend. The home itself is beyond describable. Every room was immaculate and the backyard views will be something we never forget. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the big, private beach and water! I’m so happy we decided to spend our last vacation as a family of 3 here! We are already planning our next visit with Carrie when the baby arrives. I can’t say enough good things about this place!!!! We highly recommend this home!

You will instantly fall in love with the quiet lakefront beauty and the breath-taking and welcoming home just 60 or so feet from the water. The main floor of the house is close to lake level making the drama of nature around you compelling and inspiring. The waterfront and waves lapping the stone and sand shore are visible from almost all the rooms of the house, and it's a short walk to River Street in Elk Rapids. Traverse Magazine readers voted River Street "in the top 10 of ‘Sweet Small-Town Main Streets in Northern Michigan.'” The pace of life is calming in this lovely town and in this beautiful home. Owner Bernadette and property manager Sam make you feel perfectly at home. Response time to messages is instant, polite, and friendly. There's so much enjoyment to be had for all ages here.

Host was super quick to responds and sent a ton of info of things to do in the area. A very nice, peaceful time on the lake.

Spent Memorial Day weekend in this peaceful home amid the trees and beautiful scenery. The house was spectacular and the responsiveness spot on. Our family didn’t want to leave. Thanks for having us and I hope many others enjoy as much as we did.

Thank you for the perfect getaway! Moondance Shores is a peaceful and modern home with gorgeous views of the lake! The location is incredible - tucked away in nature, yet a quick drive to town. Not even sure where to begin! We booked this for my friends low-key bachelorette party and it was the most perfect place for us to relax and unplug! Shana was an amazing host, always communicating via the app in a very timely manner. The house was pristine and SO cute! It was clean and stocked with everything you could need (paddle board, kayaks, life jackets, wood, spare tooth brushes, ample towels, kitchen items, coffee were some of our favorites). The ONLY complaint - which is to no fault of the host - is that the mosquitos were thick at all hours of the day so be mindful of that :) have already reccomended this place to many friends and hoping I can back here soon too. 10/10 recommend!

Overall very functional apartment for a couple in a desirable location. Very clean and decent amenities. Easy check in and check out. Comes with parking spot which is essential in that location. Fairly quiet. Door lock is somewhat finicky and took 2-3 tries to open door.

We had a great weekend. Space worked out perfectly and we were able to use the kayaks. They had everything you could want and more.

We had a lovely stay at this condo. It is located on a beautiful lake of which the living room has a gorgeous view. Access to kayaks and a fire pit were a very nice bonus! The property was clean and comfortable. Communication about our stay was great. Highly recommend!

Great place! We loved the lake and the lake views. I also loved that there was a beach and pontoon boat rentals were on-site!

We will definitely book this place again if we need to be close to the Grand Traverse Resort again. Its very clean, very comfortable, and the the views are really nice. It's just far away enough from downtown to be quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful condo, looks just like the listing with amazing unobstructed views of Lake Michigan. Lovely hosts, easy to contact and respond quickly to any requests. Everything was so clean and very well equipped. Can’t wait to book again!

Great place especially if traveling with dogs! Apartment was easy to enter with keypads and clear instructions. Good location to dog park and water across the street. Downtown area is a little further but still walkable with lot of great restaurants and shops. Cute are about 25 minutes from sleeping bear dunes.
