amazing place with beautiful views including toucans in the mornings and monkeys right down the street! very spacious and i honestly felt right at home. the host helped me by getting a birthday cake for one of my guests and helped us get home when the road was closed. they were a saving grace and made our stay worth it. thank you guys for everything!

Great space, wonderful views and the grounds were beautiful with all the flowers. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the beds were nice and cozy. Stopped there as a half way point to the Caribbean coast. Was a tad difficult finding, but it was in the dark and once we got to Aquarius and looked at the pictures we got there no problem. Host was responsive. Thank you for sharing your wonderful house.

Moonshine Inn was great! It was comfortable and quiet, and the pool was nice! It was convenient to all of the attractions in Manuel Antonio. Nothing was more than a few minutes’ drive away. Martin and Lorena were excellent hosts. They provided lots of great local information, helped book tours, and even arranged to deliver an item my daughter left. We had a great trip. Don’t miss the guided nature walk. It was phenomenal, and we saw so many animals! Enjoy!

Perfect airport-adjacent stay with all the comforts of home! The host provided excellent detailed instructions that made our arrival seamless. The backyard was an unexpected oasis of tranquility - we enjoyed morning coffee there before heading out. Beds were remarkably comfortable, and the spacious layout gave everyone room to spread out. Ideal first stop on our Costa Rica adventure!

Si buscas una experiencia inmersiva en la naturaleza sin alejarte demasiado de la comodidad, este es el lugar ideal. Aunque está a solo unos metros de la carretera y al lado de un supermercado, una vez dentro de la propiedad te sientes rodeado de vegetación, con vistas a plantas y árboles, tal como se muestra en las fotos. Es importante tener en cuenta que no hay ventanas convencionales, sino mosquiteros o rejillas antimosquitos, lo que permite una conexión más directa con el entorno. La experiencia de desconexión es muy agradable y el ventilador en la habitación fue de gran ayuda, ya que el calor y la humedad pueden ser intensos. Un detalle hermoso es que por las mañanas diferentes tipos de aves visitan el Airbnb, haciendo que la estancia sea aún más especial. Además, el alojamiento cuenta con estacionamiento, lo cual es un plus. En general, una excelente opción para quienes buscan un contacto auténtico con la naturaleza sin renunciar a la comodidad

Would rent here again without hesitation! The location is great. We loved being close to town and things to do but still having all the jungle vibes! We saw lots of monkeys right in the back yard! Alex and Glen were both very friendly. We also did the mangrove Kayak tour with Alex & Goldie (his pup)! Would highly recommend that tour! Overall we really enjoyed our stay here!

Absolutely wonderful stay!! We were so sorry to leave. The house had everything we needed and Luis (house manager) was so helpful and responsive. In addition to staying in a great house, it was lovely to have so much beautiful nature and wildlife on our doorstep. Monkeys, toucans, macaws, lizards and iguanas came to visit.

We loved Gretel’s place - it was a beautiful spot and we felt right at home. It has a fantastic kitchen, a spacious living area, nice bedrooms and a great porch. The pool was really refreshing and was a nice escape from the afternoon heat. We also got to see some amazing wildlife close up - we were visited by some squirrel monkeys, a howler monkey, a toucan and a pair of Scarlett Macaws. It is in close proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park and a bunch of other excursions and near many great local restaurants. I highly recommend.

Excellent place to stay! Exactly like the description and the setting outside is so much more beautiful in person. Will definitely stay here again if I ever return.

My friends and I spent the last five nights at Matthew’s property and thoroughly enjoyed the home and environment from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The house and backyard pool layout are very unique and well laid out for a good time shared with friends. I highly suggest considering Matthew’s property for anyone looking to enjoy their own slice of paradise in Playa Hermosa!

We had the best stay at Val and Oscar’s home. Our group had 1 family in the upstairs apartment and the other family in the downstairs apartment, and it was such a great arrangement for our group. The apartments were both beautiful and comfortable, and we absolutely loved the outdoor space. The kids loved the pool and we layed out in the hammocks and watched scarlet macaws fly by. We would love to come back again someday. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved staying here. Everything was magical and sitting outside was relaxing. We saw so many animals while staying there and the kids loved the pool! We had a grocery store and Soda walking distance away. Antonio was a gem. He did not speak English but he made sure everything was pristine. He is a true gem and willing to help direct parking and open the gate for us Some tips to help others….everything here is similar to the states. No suicide showers and lots of power plugs. Really the only issue we had is the upper bedrooms were too light and it gets bright early. Wasn’t a huge problem for us because we got up early to do activities while it was cool. We loved our stay! This place has ALL of the Pura Vida vibes.
