We enjoyed the place, there was nothing missing. The location a little far away allowed us to have a beautiful view of the coast. We were able to do (and we recommend) the volcano, the lava road, the lava tunnels, the circuses of Silaos and Salazie, the waterfall of the great pebble, the plant of great Anse and the salt pond, the garden of perfumes and spices, the blue stopover... all these sites are less than 1.5 hours from the accommodation. Only point of attention: avoid the path passing through the sugar cane fields, it is better to take the main road that passes north of the house.

can't say enough good things about Karien, her staff and this accommodation. The structure is wonderful witha beautiful view right on the river just across from a national park, is delightfully quiet and serene and is spotless with full service daily cleaning if you like. It was the highlight of our visit to 3 countries in Africa. Enjoyed using the outdoor grill one night and the gas stove was great as well. Do yourself a favor and book it for a stay. 😊

This is a fantastic place to hang out and unwind....Firstly the attendants are very hospitable....they made us feel at home from the start.....imagine we were so excited and we began playing all the games as we were shown around....the set up is perfect.....my favourite was bike hiking.....my God...the last time i rode a bike was ages ago....it was awesome. I recommend this place .....as a place to go connect with nature....the views are spectacular.....my purpose was met......until next time....as i will definately be going back....Adios

We just spent a unforgettable time in the termite mound house with wildlifes surrounding us. Just perfect to explore Okavango from there. The staff was a very sympathetic person who gave us lots of supports.

We had an amazing stay, initially we got lost but the caretaker Cristabella was really amazing and explained to us the directions. The place was better than our expectations, clean, well kept and with flexible check in and checkout time. Cristabella was really helpful and we had alot of fun interacting with her. Hoping to visit again sometime in future.

The place is neat and well maintained, spacious, and ideal to recharge. The bonfire was a plus for the chilly night. Eunice also kept extra blankets, bedding and towels for guests, which we loved. We also loved the board games.

Really lovely stay! It was my first time in a tiny container house and I didn't know what to expect. The space was looked even better in person and was really clean, cozy and well-decorated with everything I needed. The welcome snacks were a really nice touch and Wamuyu and Wanjiru were super responsive to my questions. Loved the location, private garden and quiet neighborhood and a good stopover location for safari or exploring Nairobi. I would highly recommend and I would be happy to stay again

Extremely clean home! A place conducive to relaxation and disconnecting for a moment, the setting is pleasant, the co-host welcomed us: very discreet and kind! Location close to all amenities (St Louis 10 min walk!) The hot tub is huge and very clean! Honestly, of all the places we've been: this is the best!

I had an incredible stay at Oboe Gardenste in Grand Baie! The property is a peaceful oasis surrounded by lush greenery, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The accommodations were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal—close to beautiful beaches, restaurants, and local attractions while still offering a quiet and relaxing environment. The garden area was a lovely place to unwind, and the overall atmosphere was serene and refreshing. The host was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and always ready to assist with any questions or recommendations. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Oboe Gardenste to anyone visiting Grand Baie and looking for a relaxing and memorable experience. I would definitely stay here again!

I was needed of a quiet-get away from NBO, when I get to this retreat, I couldn’t ask for more. Jacqueline, the host has been responsive and attentive to your questions and needs. She also has her full team including Arnold, and the caretaker on ground, Simon who will make sure you’re taken care of. The cabin is so cute, lovely, clean and environmental friendly. Not only you will reconnect to the beautiful nature but you will reconnect with your soul through the cold fresh-clean air, the sounds of nature and warm charcoals provided. The morning coffee is my favorite moment, so does a small walk to the stream just by the house. If you like outdoor & camping you’ll know what to prepare. Not about sleeping in a tent (as beds are provided & hot-shower) but more of the self-catering preparation and personal warm-clothes. If you are short on things, there’s Jamaa supermarket 15 mins drive-away to Ol Kalou town. So, take off your shoes, enjoy & feel the green yard! It’s one beautiful one.
