Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Durban

Lovely home away from home. Very peaceful with no traffic or other noise. Great views, and the house is spacious for indoor and outside living. Julie was very helpful, offering local recommendations, quick to respond and even gave one of our children a lift when he got dropped off and had a long walk back to the house. All in all a great spot, the wildlife around the estate was a treat and within a short drive of some great pubs and restaurants. Can thoroughly recommend.

This is the most thoughtful host I have ever experienced. Do not go grocery shopping without checking in first… so many items were provided. I loved how close it is to a mall but is a full on farm barn experience. I am still intrigued by the place…

I recently spent time at 125 Penzance for my mother’s 60th birthday. The venue was so pretty and comfortable. We received so much help from the caretaker Sboniso who made us feel right at home and went out of his way to help us set up tables and everything, there was no request too big for him. It’s the perfect place to host a gathering, we definitely would love to make use of the back garden next time! Thank you so much Zama for making things easy for us!

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience staying here. Nikki and Tom went above and beyond as air b&b hosts and truly made my experience amazing. When I landed in Durban, they picked me up from the airport and after learning that my luggage was stuck in Joburg, they took me to the store so that I could get some toiletries and food for the day. They were so patient and warm in every interaction that I had with them. When we lost water, they brought me a 5 liter jug and were extremely communicative any time we lost water or electricity. I was in Durban for two months and struggled to find people to travel with and they literally adopted me most weekends to hang out with them at their beach club. Regarding the air bnb itself, it was the perfect size for me. It is in the safest neighborhood with great restaurants and a bakery within walking distance! There's fiber internet and a washing machine. Loved this little cottage, love Nikki and Tom, and love Durban!!

The place is beautiful, clean and spacious. The hosts provided us with a litre of fresh milk, 2 litre of bottled water, sugar, coffee, tea and rusks. Not just sachets of coffee, enough coffee to last you for a week (if drinking it sensible). The kitchen is packed with all the amenities, including liquid dish soap and towels. The bathroom too, there’s a sponge and thick bleach to clean the bath before (for those neat freaks) and after. There’s plenty of toilet rolls too. I loved that I could sit on the patio and sip on my creamy coffee and rusks or just recharge on the beautiful petite garden. I didn’t feel claustrophobic as I normally do in a hotel room or flat. I recommend this place for its beauty, art, cleanliness, space and location (walking distance to restaurants, shops and a large park to exercise or vicariously watch). It is also very secure.

Exceptional Experience I had the pleasure of staying at this stunning location, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. The premises were immaculately clean, and the attention to detail was impressive. But what truly stood out was the sense of safety and security that pervaded the entire property. An Unforgettable Stay with Truly Exceptional Hosts I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Liezle and Garth’s Airbnb over the Comrades Marathon weekend, and words can hardly do justice to the experience. From the moment I arrived, I was treated like family. Liezle, who was working at the Comrades Expo, went above and beyond by personally welcoming me and offering to keep my bags safe in her office until I could check in — such a thoughtful gesture that immediately put me at ease. The care and kindness didn’t stop there. Garth, ever generous and full of heart, woke up at 2 AM to drop me off at the Comrades bus. He even gave me oats to fuel my race and a running belt to carry my phone — small details that made a big difference. After the race, I came back to a comforting soup and the same genuine kindness that made the entire stay so special. Their home is everything you could ask for: peaceful,beautifully maintained, safe, and surrounded by a sense of calm that’s hard to come by.

Easily the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in: I stayed with Mike, Sally, and their friendly dog, Riggs, as well as their excellent helper, Patience, during Ironman 70.3, and it was incredible. The garden cottage is a peaceful, modern, and thoughtfully stocked retreat. You can relax with the doors open to the garden and the ocean breeze, or enjoy the cool comfort of the aircon inside. It's spotless, beautifully furnished, and has everything you need. The location is perfect, close to beaches, restaurants, and shops—but what makes it truly special is the warm, welcoming family. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. I'll definitely be back next year. Highly recommend!

I had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment while in KZN for the Comrades Marathon. The space was immaculate, stylish, and had everything I could possibly need. What truly made this experience stand out was Janine, the host. From the moment I booked, her communication was exceptional—warm, funny, and refreshingly down-to-earth. She checked in every day with genuine care and good humour, making sure I had everything I needed and even sharing great local tips. Her friendly, light-hearted personality made me feel so welcome — it was like connecting with an old friend!
