This newly renovated 1,500 square foot Company House was built in early 20th Century, during the mining boom to house workers. We completely rebuilt this house to modern, open concept design with top of the line finishes and unique details. Bed 1: King bed - upstairs, open concept loft area. The Boat House has 2 lofts, one double bed accessed by ladder and the other has stairs leading up to a queen bed, accommodating 4 people. This tiny house offers a fully appointed spacious kitchen, a 3 piece bathroom including a flush toilet, as well as Wifi, smart TV, a wood stove and AC. Kayaks & SUP’s, BBQ shelter use are included with your stay.

Melinda's mountain retreat, dog & family friendly.

Melinda moved to Cape Breton in 1974 from Tennessee. She married a local, opened a small hair salon, and raised a big garden and four children. Up until suffering a major stroke in 2021, she was an avid swimmer and cross country skier. But, most of all she loved connecting with all kinds of different people, young and old. Although severely limited from the stroke, she still enjoys meeting people and seeing family and friends.

Swallow Bank Cottage #3 on the Margaree River

This one bedroom cottage is located in Margaree Centre. Our four, full housekeeping cottages sit along the Margaree River, just minutes from the Cabot Trail. Cottage 3 has been recently renovated inside and out. New bathroom, upgraded kitchen, and a queen bed with a luxury Logan & Cove mattress. The cottage also has a sofa bed in the living area for extra sleeping space. Check in is anytime after 3pm. Check out is 11am.
