Using your own photo of the Space Needle, we’ll create vibrant, one-of-a-kind prints that capture the magic of this landmark. • Begin with a quick photoshoot around the Space Needle, capturing your favorite angles and perspectives with your iPhone. Then we’ll head to my studio for a coffee and to dive into risograph history and process. • Learn how to transform your chosen photo into a two-color risograph print. Seattle is home to one of the nation’s most diverse urban tree collections—double the East Coast’s average and triple the Midwest’s. Join me, a local data nerd, naturalist and bestselling author, for a stroll through Capitol Hill as we explore this charming neighborhood and its notable street trees. • We’ll begin our adventure at the locally beloved Macrina Bakery on 19th Avenue, where you’ll receive a map I’ve illustrated of the eight different trees we'll visit, along with a brief overview. • On our tree walk through the beautiful residential streets of Capitol Hill, we’ll stop at each tree to learn how to identify it and distinguish it from other species. • You’ll have a chance to see notable trees, including the city’s widest maple street tree (a native bigleaf maple), the widest sugar and silver maple street trees, and the widest giant sequoia street tree in Seattle. You’ll leave with a renewed sense of wonder, a mile of nature therapy, and a newfound appreciation for the more than 700 tree species that adorn the Emerald City. Please note: Our tour covers approximately one mile along sidewalks and lasts about 90 minutes. Be sure to bring a rain jacket, water, and wear comfortable walking shoes, rain or shine.

Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the music world turned its spotlight on Seattle, where bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam were blowing minds and speakers with grunge rock. I'll guide you around my neighborhood, the epicenter for this music scene. • We'll meet up at Bon Voyage Vintage, my store, where you'll have a chance to dress up in the fashion of the grunge era, and I'll talk about how the Seattle grunge scene erupted. • Then we'll embark on a walking tour of Pioneer Square, stopping in at grunge landmarks like the OK Hotel, featured in the 1992 film Singles, and the Central Saloon, the site of Nirvana’s first Seattle show. • We'll also stop at Nord Alley, where we'll re-create a famous Nirvana photo with you in your flannel shirt and ripped jeans. Before we part ways, I'll give you a map of more Seattle rock landmarks so you can continue to explore grunge history.

We welcome all skill levels and ages—we’ve hosted participants as young as five! • Start at Paper Punch Press for an introduction and guided exploration of Short Run Comix Festival’s library, featuring alternative comics, small press, and self-published artists from the Pacific Northwest and beyond. • Create your own mini-comic with our expert guidance, and print it using our special Risograph printers, which use a stencil-based method that delivers rich colors and a handmade feel. • Stroll down to renowned comic book store Fantagraphics for a guided shopping experience with owner Larry Reid, where you’ll browse rare, independent, and iconic comics while hearing stories from this legendary curator. You’ll leave with your unique DIY comic, deep insights into the independent comic world in Seattle, and new creative skills to use at home.

You'll also get to hear about and from the local makers and artists whose booths fill the market. • I’ll take you to all the spots where buskers bring art to life, with incredible performers that do everything from playing upright pianos to juggling knives while spinning hoops. Don’t forget to bring some dollar bills if you'd like to tip this world class talent! • After sampling snacks from some of my favorite vendors, we’ll wrap up our tour at the stunning new rooftop garden, which has breathtaking views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Chef Tour of Pike Place Market

We will take you on a culinary tasting adventure of Pike Place Market. We will be stopping at 9 different artisanal vendors; learning about local production and tasting your way through the flavors of the Northwest. Other things to note: The tour takes place rain or shine. Please email if you have dietary restrictions. Not all of our routes stop at the same places in Pike Place! We do book private tours for 9-16 people. Please direct message us to learn more. Gratuity is not included in the price. Our team also conducts a, more off the beaten path, tour on Fridays and Saturdays of South Lake Union. There are small bites over many stops and limited places to sit down. This experience requires a medium physical fitness level due to hills, stairs and uneven terrain. We do cover some distance and the market is crowded during the Summer. If you have to drive and park please leave a lot of extra time in the high season. The lots do fill up. Lastly, due to our tight schedule and wanting to show you as much of the market during a short time, we don't have time to shop during the tour. We encourage you to come back after the tour with your discount card to make purchases.

Mad Scientist Cocktail and Mocktail Lab

lab·o·ra·to·ry | \ ˈla-b(ə-)rə-ˌtȯr-ē Definition, broadly : a place providing opportunity for experimentation, observation, or practice in a field of study. This is an ever-changing and high-concept cocktail and/or mocktail workshop (aka. laboratory) for those with 0 to 100 levels of experience. Unconventional, not a class; learn through experimentation! You get to take risks in this lab with hundreds of ingredients at your fingertips that you wouldn't normally take at home or in a cocktail class. Tools include smoking guns, test tubes, shaker sets, etc. This experience has no dress code. As soon as you enter, you'll be handed a lab coat -- perfect as a pre-funk to your night out on the town. Forest hike to Twin and Snoqualmie Falls

This half day tour is a combination of a moderate 2-hour hike (also a few inclines for 7 minutes) to the Twin Falls close up and a visit to the famous Snoqualmie Falls which we drive right up to. I will pick you up in downtown Seattle and drive eastward for about 30 minutes until we arrive at the trailhead. We will hike in old growth forest along Snoqualmie River to Twin Falls and the Upper Falls (1.4 miles), which is a beautiful cascade of waterfalls. After the hike we will drive through North Bend, where the diner from the popular tv show "Twin Peaks" is located and through the historic logging town. Snoqualmie. The locomotives of the time are still on the railroad tracks and the old depot from the year 1890 is in use till this day. We stop to view the Snoqualmie Falls of 270 feet - followed by driving along Borst Lake, where Mount Si is reflected in the often still lake - and then drive back to downtown Seattle.
